Jose Pepper's

First time there, didn't know where to start so I got the Crab and shrimp enchiladas. They were perfect, so we're the chips and salsa.

I've visited Jose Peppers every Saturday for.. uh.. at least a year. Probably 2?

Anyway, obviously I'd recommend it. I always order carnitas tacos. I hear the mini chimmies are good too. 😏

Staff has always been nice and the food is consistent. They've introduced themselves to me plenty of times - but I'm terrible with names.

I'd say I've been disappointed maybe twice in all this time. And honestly, had I mentioned it to the staff I'm sure they would have immediately fixed it. It wasn't a big deal - I'm only bringing it up to highlight that fact that's less than 2% of my visits.

If you're reading reviews for places you're probably pretty desperate by now so just go here. 😂

Oh one more thing, free chips and salsa. I think that's a requirement now for these kind of places but just in case you were wondering. 😝

Our last visit was a bummer(due to a customer service issue with the waiter), so we decided to take a chance and come again, and I am SO glad we did!

Food was great, and our waiter, Jay, was fantastic! He caught that my food was wrong before it came out, and got it fixed right away! He's super quick and very attentive and kind! (We told the manager who was working (Paul) how great Jay was, but he didn't seem to care much. He kept shifting his attention elsewhere. It's sad really, because they hear so many negative things we thought it would be nice to hear how awesome someone is.)

Always have enjoyed eating here. I got the chicken fajitas this time and they were excellent. I highly recommend this place. Have been coming to this location with family for years.

This place is PHENOMENAL!! We had the Steak&Goatcheese tower starter. WOW! Oh WOW! SPECTACULAR, flavors are amazing! Goat cheese was creamy and DELICIOUS! Then we had Anniversary Burrito. Wow! So good! Mario was our server! He was on point! Asked for recommendations, he was spot on!! Great food and SPECTACULAR service!! I am from Denison Tx here visiting my daughter. I will be back!!

I'm from out of state and Jose Pepper's was across the street from the hotel so I tried it out. Very glad I did. The chips and salsa were great. The chips were light and crisp and the salsa was fresh and had just the right amount of cilantro. I ordered the grilled Mahi tacos. They were excellent! Probably some of the best I've had. They were loaded up and huge! Be warned, the plates were frigin' hot! The rice and beans were great too. Also, our waiter was attentive, quick and efficient (Unfortunately I can't remember his name. For some reason "Eric" rings a bell?). If I'm ever in the area again this will definitely be a stop for me.

We love their chips and salsa. Puffy Taco Tuesday is a great night for trying something not on their menu. My all-time favorite is their Parmesan crusted Shrimp Avocado Quesadilla!

Pretty good Mexican restaurant. Server was very good and friendly and the food was good as well. I especially liked their chips and salsa which was of the perfect consistency and heat level.

Was frequent visitor until moving away 8 years ago....just had to go back on visit and food is STILL amazing!

The chicken and cheese poppers never disappoint. I needed something to eat but not a full meal. Of course, I had to have jalapeño margarita while I was there. The complimentary chips and salsa are tasty.

New Years Eve Eve, place was busy, sat at the bar and had dinner. First of all, Tex-Mex isn't usually good food, think Fuzzy's. But this place is actually good, not quite authentic, not quite Tex-Mex, but I was satisfied, and I'm Mexican!!! The queso is a white cheese with pico, the chips are thin white corn, think Xochitl. I'm a truck driver and start my day between midnight and 2AM, I don't have a full meal until I'm done for the day, this day was almost 5pm and I was starving. I ordered the Combo #1 (beef taco, cheese enchilada and chicken Chile relleno) and couldn't finish my plate! The serving size is great for the price and everything was delicious! I'll definitely be back next time I layover close by.

Service was excellent and food was exceptionally good. Get your money's worth, more than we could eat. Will be going back!

This is truly a top-notch establishment. Everyone was friendly from the hostess to the manager walking around. The server was fantastic. He stayed on top of my refills, even though I was incredibly thirsty. They also provided us with excellent birthday desserts for my twins free of charge. I have been going to Jose peppers for years and will continue to do so.

Had an amazing margarita to start. Food was phenomenal. I'll definitely be back. Closest to Texas tex-mex I've had. The masa was a delightful treat.

Food's always excellent friendly service is always hot. Price is good. They don't leave you waiting

I placed a to go order. The person taking my order was very professional. My food was great. There was only one issue, I asked for NO set-up as it has tomatoes in the set-up, and I'm allergic to them, and they were front and center of my food.

Jose Peppers s always a great place to eat. They now have this Mexican pizza which is amazing. Just another item added to their menu which is awesome.

Jose Pepper's has long been my favorite Mexican food in Kansas City. I've been going here for years and it never gets old. Their chips and salsa are so addictive. I miss the shredded beef burrito, but everything else on the menu is great too!

Great food and great people. Be sure to try the El Pollo Magnifico. It's amazing.
