It's a great park to walk. Right next to the Willamette River, the mixture of green and bubbling clear water create a very nice environment for a walk or bike. Across the bridge is the university of Oregon, and many office buildings. Great area to relax.

Alton Baker Park is a great park near U of O, connecting from the east (Island park Springfield) through Campbell park in Eugene to the northwest, along the Willamette River. One can walk or bike from end to end & through various connecting little trails. At AB park there are parking lots, restrooms, water faucets & a pedestrian bridge, P DaFaizo Bridge, little duck pond, Monster disc golf, Planet Mars display, covered picnic areas. There're 4 pedestrian bridge along the route. One can walk /bike on either side of the river.
Pros: restrooms, various trails, most-scenic, free parking, benches; connecting to other parks, i.e. Eastgate Woodlands, Campbell, Skinner Butte (across road from Campbell), Owen Rose Garden, Maurice Jacobs, Rasor; Ruth Bascom trail. Cons: some littering by homeless.

It was nice at Alton Baker Park. It was quiet and peaceful. I took a couple photos and walked around. It is a good place to get outside and get some exercise.

Alton Baker Park is located in downtown Eugene close to the University of Oregon and Austen Stadium. There are a lot of nice walking paths and open areas for all sorts of activities. There is an 18 hole disc golf course that's real fun to play. It's also next to the river so there's always nice wild life. Cuthbert Amphitheater is also located in the park, and there's always cool music happening in the summer. The park is free and welcomes dogs.

Took a walk with my little dog, beautiful area. This was off Aspen road. Lots of people with dogs and everyone asked before introducing their dog! Bench’s along the way with trash cans.
Paths to water were nice. Will come explore some more.

The billion to one model of the solar system is just incredible.
It’s something like over 4 miles to walk from the sun (in the middle of the park), down the Willamette River to Pluto. Really helps you appreciate the relative distances and sizes of our planets.

So many different trails in this giant park. The trails connect to different parks so I am not always sure what park I'm in. Always a pretty walk though.

This is a nice big park in the middle of Eugene that is suitable for many activities such as picnicking and bike riding. That's exactly what I was doing here. The bike ride was great except for the fact that it was raining much of the time. The picnic shelters and restroom facilities are above average for a public park. This is a great place for everyone.

Sprawling riverfront Park with a busy paved parkway, disk golf, a dog park, and plenty of flat open fields perfect for flag football or frisbee. There are several picnic areas suitable for large groups, and parking is rarely an issue outside of game days.

On the Monster Disc course, the grass was so dry I had great difficulty staying on my feet after launching from almost anywhere besides the tee. The dead grass is slippery as hell, as well as a fire uazard. Blackberries were popping out from the grounds everywhere. Time for us Oregonians to realize we are in the Megadrought just like the rest of the Western US. Either zeriscape this area, or bite the bullet and start watering and maintaining it.

Regularly stocked fishing ponds with other various wildlife. If you're into walking paths, feeding the ducks/geese, viewing wildlife or fishing with the kiddos this is a great place. Free parking.

Beautiful public outdoor space! Wandered through a small area while our sons were running the fabulous Pre's Trail. So much variety in the plants and wildlife, especially the waterfowl. There are also art exhibits and a layout of the solar system. Talked to some of the fishermen and saw some large trout.

I would highly recommend checking out this park! It's a great way to get out of the business of the city and enjoy nature, and take some good relaxing time. Great for the whole family, especially families with small children... but it's also a really good spot for couples or individuals to go to! Lots of space to spread out so it doesn't feel crowded. On a sunny day, it is spectacularly beautiful, especially in spring. You will not regret visiting!

Lovely urban park. It's massive but they do have a wonderful amount of restrooms scattered throughout the grounds. Also there are many exquisite places to photograph the city skyline and the river from this park. It truly is the gem of the city. Great maintained paths, boat launches, and facilities. My only request would be more maps of the park within the park, just so you can walk around and not have to use your phone, and enjoy the tranquility instead.

A beautiful park that has its own trails, ponds and Willamette river flowing on one side. You can take a walk or ride a bike or simply sit by one of the ponds and watch ducks and geese playing with be water. A few trails were closed for the public right now, but without that too, it pretty much gave the pleasure to my eyes.

Beautiful park with easy trails for everyone, even beginners. You walk past the stadium and there are dog parks and community gardens. I would definitely recommend this place to others new to the area or passing through who want to explore Eugene.

Fun place to go watch migrating ducks, geese and sometimes herons. Two large covered Pavilions available with grills. Many places to sit and watch nature. Excellent location for bird watching. There are wood chip running paths and wide cement paths that are great for bike riding, skateboarding, rollerblading etc. This place also has a few planets with plaques located along the paths to walk up to and learn about our Solar system.

Alton Baker Park is a great park for all ages and sports. There are beautiful biking and hiking trails and the famous barked Pre’s trail. Frisbee golf, fishing and even areas you can swim in the river. A wonderful dog park. A canal you can go kayaking. A large covered picnic table and many benches and smaller picnic tables in many spots. Just an all round wonderful peaceful and serene place. No more homeless camps in the area.
