Michelle Posada is truly a miracle worker and master of her craft. Discussing hair styles, booking a trial and scheduling my wedding day hair with her was completely stress free. She was so kind and accommodating to my preferences, thorough and detail oriented. My hair turned out better than I could have imagined, and held up throughout pictures, the ceremony and reception! It’s an added bonus that she’s a truly lovely person to spend hours with :) Highly recommend.

If you are looking for a great salon experience, Mermaid Labs will help you find your calling. My daughter Dahlia got her hair colored and styled here for a graduation present. She just loved it. You can get used to being treated like Royalty here.

Michelle is extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Michelle does my balayage and cuts my hair, and I am always getting complements on the color. The most important thing is that she uses the best products to protect my hair to avoid damage. I would have no problem referring Michelle to my friends, co-workers and family.

This place is such a vibe! Michelle has been my go-to for haircuts and highlights for years. I never feel any pressure to explain what I’m looking for because she always knows what to do and has never gotten it wrong. Atmosphere, conversation, convenience of booking, quality of services… I’d rate 10 stars if I could 🙌🏻 love this place!

Literally the best salon I’ve had the pleasure of going to. Everyone is so friendly. They care about your hair…take their time to explain the process and literally do full blown transformations you wouldn’t believe ! I’m living proof it can be done ;)

Kat is absolutely amazing! She is extremely knowledgeable about both hair care, and the extensions she places on your hair. I have very fine hair and have always wanted volume. Kat color matched the extensions and has always given the most sound advice on what color and the type that would be best for my hair. They look amazing and I couldn’t be happier. My first experience with Mermaid Labs was a consultation with Kat for extensions. I wasn't really one who knew anything about hair but I wanted long hair bad! Kat was amazing. Extremely patient and knowledgeable. She made me feel very comfortable and I put a deposit for extensions the next day. Since then, Kat moved into her salon in Manasquan which is absolutely beautiful. It's clean, elegant and has a perfect vibe to it. Being able to text to make an appointment is so easy. Kiersten is always so prompt, friendly and patient. Jazmine recently started dying and doing a blow out for me. She's so sweet and does a really amazing job. I want to schedule a blow out for every Friday! Also, the products! The salon has the most amazing products! It's impossible for me not to pick up something when I'm there. If you haven't tried Mermaid Labs, I highly highly highly recommend it.

Kat is absolutely amazing! I have been going to her for years and no matter how I’m feeling when I walk in the salon, I walk out feeling like a goddess. When she first started doing my hair, she was replacing awful extensions that I had done elsewhere. She saved my hair and my sanity. She does both my color and my extensions and I could not be happier. If you are looking for extensions or a new stylist I highly recommend you give her a call. You will fall in love with her and your new fabulous hair.

Kat is by FAR the best at hair extension installs and making any hair dream of yours come true!! If you’re looking for someone who knows what they’re doing I HIGHLY recommend paying Kat a visit. I now have my boyfriend coming in soon to get his hair done for dread lock braiding install! Can’t wait for her to work her magic 🪄
