Wow. Absolutely great everything. Loved the atmosphere. Every single thing on the menu looked amazing. Our drink and food items were prepared to perfection. Service was great, even during the busy holiday season. We will be back.

We stopped for lunch as we sojourned through Illinois on a quick day trip. We stopping at Tavern on Main for a quick lunch and we’re so impressed with the food, atmosphere and great service. Their prices are so reasonable! Loved that you could order salads in small, medium or large. The Salsa Chicken wrap was amazing and their seasoned fries are very tasty! The Sweet Saint Louis Salad was perfect. If you are around Belleville and looking for a great lunch or dinner place, look no further.

Very spacious diner with great service, beers and tasty food. Not far from Public Square. There is street parking. Kids menu available. Turkey club and Lobster sandwiches were great. My older son enjoyed meat lover pizza.

Tavern On Main is the most bumping place in Downtown Belleville. My mom and I went for a late Friday dinner and drinks and were lucky enough to get Scott as our server (the best server and teacher in the world). We arrived around 7pm and requested a seat on the patio, which resulted in a 30-minute wait (but we could have been seated immediately if we'd gone inside). I was a little disappointed with the lack of live music on a Friday night, but several other spots on Main Street offered that. And if there had been live music, we wouldn't have been able to hear each other talk- so it worked out great. The vibe on the patio is exactly what I'm looking for when spending a night on the town.

Scott suggested the Catholic Cucumber martini for me and my mom ordered the wine paired with the dinner item she ordered. I had a Caesar salad and she had chicken and prosciutto tortellini. The last several times I've ordered dinner food from Tavern On Main, I wasn't impressed with the flavor (and the higher than average price made it worse). But I tried a bite of her entrée and was very impressed, the dish was packed with delicious complementary flavors all around. That single bite really turned my opinion of the restaurant around and Swayed me to give it a 5-star rating, especially with their top-notch service.

Scott went above and beyond for us during our dinner on the patio. He made stellar recommendations for drinks, made sure we were enjoying our time, and offered some comedy with our dinner. He's been with the restaurant since they opened.

The restaurant offers specials, banquet space for all types of events, and two fully stocked bars.

Delicious food, amazing cocktails and excellent service. I really appreciate that you offer gluten free options. I have Celiac disease and it can be a challenge to eat out but your gf menu is wonderful. Tavern on Main is one of our favorite date night places, especially the outdoor patio seating when the weather is nice. Highly recommend.

The Tavern on Main is a terrific restaurant with a good variety of food on their menu, and an impressive draft beer selection. We had the quesadilla and a small pizza, split between 2 people, and that was more than enough. Our waitress was excellent.

We stopped in for lunch. The atmosphere is great. Theres a nice comfortable laid back vibe with a touch of class.
We ordered wings, caeser salad and pizza. I had the lobster BLT and my husband had the meat pizza.
My pizza was outstanding, the garlic aioli was perfect. The wings are charbroiled and have a layers of flavor and spice. The server was very attentive, personable and offered suggestions.

Food here is super good! Lots to choose from! Very good service and wine selection. Highly recommended for a date night or special occasion!

Best place for dining in downtown Belleville. Small kitchen but worth the wait. Lunch? Get the Lobster Roll or Hot Pastrami. Dinner? The Ahi Tuna (or see if the Ribeye is available off menu). One of my personal favorites is the Lobster BLT pizza 🦞 🍕

10/10 best food I had during my stay in Belleville. GET THE BRUSCHETTA! Me and my husband loved it so much we want to drive the 8 hours again, just for that!

The food is phenomenal! 5 star quality at a local bar! People don't dine anymore. They'd rather get their food and leave. Excellent place to get a 3 or 4 course meal. Their capelinni pasta is excellent. As well as their meat loaf. Lamb & veal meatloaf? The spinach salad is a great starter. Finished it all off with a yuge helping of Spumoni ice cream.

This classy restaurant is a fine example of the workings of excellent businessmen and local entrepreneurs, Mark Onstott, and son, Austin Onstott. The Onstotts certainly excel and know the restaurant business. We indulged in the BEST filet and beef medallions we've ever eaten. Seriously! The Beef Marco literally melts in your mouth. We started with the BBQ Shrimp; it's a must-have! Delectable grilled shrimp with toasted, ciabatta style bread in a savory sauce. Service was very good at 715p on this 'slower than normal' Saturday night. Still, several patrons were grouped by table, and others were bellied up to the beautiful bar. This restaurant has an upscale feel. Dressy and casual style dress are acceptable. Outside table seating is off-street in the front of restaurant and sits right at a 4-way stop, providing views from the east side of the square in beautiful downtown Belleville. The food was absolutely delicious! Beef Marco - indulge and enjoy!! Our compliments to the chef!

Love this place. Had dinner with my dad and sisters. Grace one of the bartenders was awesome, She was very helpful and always had a smile on her face. Definitely will be back!

We had a nice dinner for two. About a 10 minute wait for a table. We dined around 7 pm. Grace our server was very good.

It was our first time visiting this restaurant while in town. Everyone had something different from the menu, and everyone enjoyed their meal. It was very busy during our visit, so the service was a little slow, but that wasn't really an issue because we had great table conversations and time to take in the whole atmosphere of the establishment. If you're downtown or even close by, drop in and dine, and you'll enjoy it.

Popped in for a post Belleville Chili Cook-off drink and couldn't resist the Brady Wings and NOLA style BBQ Shrimp. Very comforting!

Great place. A bit pricey but great food.

We really enjoyed our meal here, everything we had was really good. Shrimp and flatbread starters, scallops and ribeye main course, all very tasty. The venue had a nice atmosphere, was clean, and the staff was friendly and helpful. Much thanks to our cousins for treating us to such a nice dinner.

We have lunch here every time we come to the Christmas mart. Everything we have ordered has been delicious and we enjoy the friendly atmosphere!
