El Azteca Mexican Restaurant

Any time I’m traveling past Mt. Vernon, I always stop and grab a bite to eat here. The service is so fast that it challenges fast food restaurants. My wife and I stopped here today and were in and out within 15 minutes. The food is always fresh and delicious. The chips and salsa are my favorite around. The servers are always super friendly and I have no complaints about the atmosphere. Plus, it’s very reasonably priced!

We have ate lunch and dinner here multiple times as well as take out a few times. The food is always hot and fresh, with warm chips and yummy salsa. Everyone is friendly, smiling and right there ready to get me food. Restaurant is clean and smells clean too!

We love it here so much. Great good, amazing margaritas. The kids love it too. Everyone is super nice and friendly.

Stopped here on my trip home from Oklahoma. The food was excellent. Fresh and hot (heat), which is my favorite way of being served. The chips were crispy, and the salsa had good flavor. I'd love to go back on another of my trips.

The food, service, and staff are always amazing. We are in town for the craft show every year and we can't wait to eat at El Azteca. We eat there multiple times while we are there.

It's usually pretty calm but the food is good and they have horchata!!

Fast, friendly service. Food came out super fast. Enchiladas were very good. Draft beer was exactly what it was supposed to be. I did not care for the hot salsa myself, but it was personal preference. The mild salsa was more mainstream. Solid Mexican food for a small town. I would definitely return.

Absolutely delicious... highly recommend the burrito Supreme or the fajitas.

Traveling along I-44 when we found this tiny gem. The food was excellent. My husband had Tacos de Asada. I had a Chicken Enchilada and Flauta with Sour Cream Sauce. Their beans are some of the best I have ever had. All our food was on point. Service was fast, attentive and very polite. Price was very inexpensive considering how great their food was. Definitely a place we will stop at again when traveling thru the area.

My son and I were on a road trip and thought we'd stop to get a bite. I'm a huge fan of Mexican food so when I saw the "authentic Mexican food" sign I new that El Azteca was where we'd be stopping. We were greeted promptly by at least 3 smiling faces, and waited only a few seconds before being seated. Our waitress brought out chips and we were asked what type of salsa we wanted, hot or mild. The chips and hot salsa were really amazing. Definitely a authentic homemade flavor. I ordered the California Burrito and my son had two chicken soft tacos. We were both very impressed with how quickly the food came out and just as impressed with the taste. So good!! The prices were very reasonable as well. Great job! The atmosphere was warm, and family oriented. If our travels ever take us back by we will definitely be stopping again. 👍👍

Really good food. Clean environment, you split the bill at checkout so no stress there. I really loved the rice and beans, not a fan of the mild salsa though, a little too tomato-sauce like.

Great food and fantastic service. We stopped in for lunch after being on the road all morning. Our five year old immediately knocked his water over, which was met with extreme kindness by our waitress and we were promptly moved to a new table.

The food was great, hot, and arrived quickly. Everyone was very kind and accompanying. We were brought extra spoons and napkins without having to ask. Our two year old ate an entire container of salsa and said it was her favorite. Our son approved of the chicken tenders. We had tacos and they were fantastic.

And they had free feminine products in the bathroom, which I personally appreciated very much...

Awesome chicken enchiladas. Tastes like the real deal. Really nice atmosphere. I'm making sure I visit on the way back.

Edit: I did come back and ordered more enchiladas. So good. Wish we had this place by my home.

Waitress was super friendly and patient with my family including my very moody and indecisive 5 year old. Food came out very hot and very fast! Everything was good. Just the basic stuff you expect to taste at these resturaunts. Good size portions. Prices were good considering how much everything has went up in cost the last 2 years. Definitely a good place to go eat for something quick that you know you'll like!

The service was great. I really enjoyed their homemade salsa. I had the Aztec Plate, my food was well made. The food felt like it was lighter them most other Mexican Restaurants that I've been to. The food wasn't covered in grease; it all tasted very fresh and pleasant.

Had the Fajitas salad n cold one. Was great , service was also . Busy place but plenty of help.

This is my favorite Mexican restaurant in town. The food is always great. The staff is fast and very friendly. I usually have a big call in order due to a large family but they always get my order correct.
