Best Western Mt. Vernon Inn

This place isn't a 4-star resort in some tropical location. But in the middle of what felt like a monsoon, the staff went above and beyond, offering me their own umbrella and showing me where to park the closest to the front door so I wouldn't get soaked. The room was nice, with comfy pillows.

My son had one gripe, the breakfast didn't have enough food. He went down at 8 am, and there was only enough batter for half a waffle. He also reported that most of the hot food was already gone. Which is a bummer but might also be an anomaly.

For 100 for the night it was a plesent experience and I would go back if I ever needed to visit Mt Vernon again

The hotel is in a really convenient location. There some good food options near by. Totally recommended

Very pleasant experience here. Rooms are nicely updated, very clean and adequately priced (get the double bed even if not needed for a larger room at the same price).
Large parking lot with adjacent lot for those driving semis.

I'm pretty picky and I just loved it here. Got a reduced rate for joining the rewards program. Just went to website, found a room, and booked it. Took 5 minutes while I sat in the stinky Comfort Inn smoking room (web site auto booked the smoking room and i didnt know). Bailed on Comfort Inn and loved the BW. Hotel looks and smells new. Person at counter gave me a great room. Very quiet.. Aztec Mexican down the road is to die for. I'm coming back here on the way home.

Location was nice - right off the interstate and near a large travel center. Check in was pleasant and quick. The room was clean and spacious. Breakfast was a little lacking, but I think they may have been short staffed and a little behind getting it out (we ate at 6:30am). We didn't use the pool, but it looked nice. Overall 5 star experience!

We had a wedding planned in the area - majority of the people coming in from out of town. The owner is so nice and accommodating. He and his staff are very friendly and hard working. Clean rooms, comfy beds, great breakfast and didn’t mind us hanging in the lobby even when we weren’t quiet!

My fiance and I stopped in here the other evening. We were traveling from Columbia Missouri to Joplin Missouri and we were both fading fast late at night.

When we stopped here we found out that the rates were quite reasonable and that the rooms are supposed to be cleaned and showers have pressure unlike previous hotels we'd stayed at in Columbia Missouri recently before hand.

When we got up to the room after checking in we were surprised and happy to find that the room was incredibly clean. The shower had towels. And more importantly there was both hot water and water pressure.

The bed was very comfortable and we had a very restful stay for a couple hours.

I would recommend this location to anyone needing a place to crash for a night that is not looking for any over-the-top thrills and a affordable stay.

The place is clean the staff are friendly and the hotel is kept in good repair.

As a professional traveler (and according to Google I am in the top 10% of lodging reviewers), I practically live in hotels year around and all over the country.
This hotel met my every desire. The room was cleaned by top-notch professionals. The room itself was very modern and new feeling. The front desk is very friendly and accommodating. On top of all that, I paid well under my average nightly stay.
I'm glad to present another 5 star rating.

Stopped here for a night due to weather in our original destination. They were super friendly and very accommodating.

The room was clean, spacious and the perfect temperature. They had just cleaned the carpets and warned the floor may be slightly damp in areas, though we didn't any wet areas it was nice to know.

The pool area was small and well kept, also a good temperature. Breakfast was good and had a variety. Check out was smooth and quick. Would definitely recommend!

Grandkids and I stayed overnight on our travels. We were able to swim in the swimming pool, it was clean, and not too deep. We ate a wonderful quick breakfast the next morning before heading out. We had an overall fantastic time.

GREAT customer service. Asked for a 4:30am wake up call. Not only did I get the call but was greeted with fresh brewed coffee and good morning greeting I left the room in the am. I had left it messy as I was returning for another night's stay. When I returned that evening, my room was picked up and cleaned. My clothes were folded, shoes neatly tucked away and the room looked great! I would highly recommend staying here!

Room was clean, hotel employees were very nice, and breakfast was pretty good as well. Also, the owner and staffs were very helpful when I had to ask them to send some of my belongings I accidentally left at the hotel to my home address. Much thanks to them!

We ended up having to stay in Mount Vernon, MO due to an automobile issue. We were fortunate to stay at this Best Western. The grounds, the lobby and hotel are up-to-date and immaculately clean. The rooms are well appointed, they have a nice little continental breakfast and a heated pool (as well as other useful amenities). But the staff is the highlight of this gem.

We were stuck here without transportation for two days and few supplies. The owner/manager offered to loan us his car, so we could get around. He personally drove us to a store, so we could purchase needed items, and even waited outside of a restaurant for us while we ordered carryout. When we had to unexpectedly a second night he got us a room without issue (though they were experiencing a surge).

This is a wonderful little hotel that understands the importance of great customer service!

Our stay at this remarkably clean & modern property exceeded our expectations! The room was spacious, the hotel clerk friendly & helpful in recommending a nearby restaurant for dinner and breakfast included in the very affordable room rate had more than ample selection of delicious hot & cold food items. If you need overnight lodging near Springfield, MO, this is the place to stay!

Enjoyable stay - the staff were personable and helpful. The facilities were well kept. A couple of times while passing through the lobby out to the car, the receptionist worked to sweep and wipe down everything to make sure the area was clean and inviting.

Great little stop for our road trip. Clean rooms, friendly staff, and a full diverse breakfast. The pool is small but perfect for my kids. Also pet friendly which was crucial for us. Would definitely recommend.

We have a dog we travel with and this would be our second time staying here. Clean and kept needed repairs and maintenance updated. Great friendly staff. Internet has easy connection. Recommend to anyone needed a room. Price is comparable to other hotels in the area.

Clean and comfy. Friendly staff. We have been on the road for over 2 weeks and have stayed in many Best Westerns as well as other chains that offer breakfast. My grandson said the eggs here were the best of the whole trip. I did see them actually beating fresh eggs and scrambling them fresh. The only downside would be that there is no ice machine on the 2nd floor, but not a big deal.

So dropping into this little Roadside oasis pleasantly surprised to find what appears to be a relatively new facility.

No this is small and really only a two story for the elevator only goes to the second floor but it appears almost like a third story building. Everything here is new and in good shape and I would highly recommend as sweet as it is nice but not luxurious. Hey but if you were staying in the best Western you’re not paying for luxurious anyway. So anyway for what you’ll find in the area and at this price point it’s a good cost point for your dollar.

I would note that the pool is nice but small in the room echoes incredible out of there any kids around. Also note that the workout facility once again is small and sparsely filled with your basic exercise equipment.

All in all it’s a nice facility and I would give it nothing but double thumbs up five stars
