As most people know when ordering a modular home and putting it on a basement you are going to have multiple contractors who need to coordinate to get the job done on schedule. That was not our case!! If something could go wrong it did. Things happen and you need to roll with it. If you can shift gears and still get the project done, I am a happy camper. Dakota helped us step by step to design a home that fit our lifestyle and our needs. She knew what we wanted and brought it to life. I could not be happier with my home. So many people who have come to check it out can not believe how well it is built. It is beautiful. We had the typical problems while it was being set, roof leaks, shingles fly off. What makes the difference is when you call to report it and within 10min. the guy who is going to fix it calls to schedule a good time for us. That is customer service. We live in the Bakken and it is not easy to get reliable contractors to come start or finish so Dakota had names and phone contacts for us all along the way. Trying to coordinate services while my husband and I both have busy work schedules was tough at times but if your attitude is "this is what it is going to take to get it done" it does not seem so daunting! After the house was sent and crews were in and out there was some damage to doors and woodwork. All of which were replaced in time. Dakota kept us posted as to what the factory was saying about delivery time and we just had to wait. As a consumer I just want to be informed and know what is going on. Things don't always go as planed but if the line of communication is open the journey is bearable. Now that things are finished until the 1yr check up, we are settled in to our beautiful home. We finally have to chance to enjoy it. Thanks Dakota and staff for all you did to support us through the process. Thanks to the crane company who broke down when trying to lift our house but got a replacement part flown in and was back up and running in no time. Thank you to the developer at Watford Landing who did everything they could to help up with equipment needed to get the house set. You all had a part in our journey and we appreciate all you have done! Happy home owner Bonnie Foss

PLEASE READ THIS!!! do NOT buy from this company!! My husband, Chris, and I were going to purchase this company. He chose to work there for the past 6 months (gone now), to make sure this is what we wanted to do. And thank God he did! He was always told that the customers were wrong, customers are too difficult, it's the contractors fault, etc. So he thought we should check for ourselves. We decided to call a ton of past customers to ask their opinion of the homes and North Valley (NV). Most said the were very happy with their homes but the majority (by a landslide) had nothing good to say about NV. Customers were treated terribly or completely ignored! The customers that actually got stuff taken care of said it took months of frustration and fighting NV, to get anything taken care of. The most common thing said was "the continued lies were horrible!" (Chris experience this often as well) A few even hired their own contractors to finish work because they were tired of fighting with them. Several customers shared that they heard that NV can't get any good contractors working for them because of how terribly they are to the subcontractors, as well. So we decided to contact previous subcontractors. YEP, a lot A LOT of horror stories from them as well!! And yes, there are many that will not do work for them. I have a lot of testimony written down and a lot of emails as well. Chris even had a bank say the would not allow any of their members to buy from NV!! Chris has 10 years of experience selling manufactured homes, a great reputation with both companies he worked for. He has never had to deal with so much negativity from almost every phone call that came in! Nor has the other companies had lawsuits filed against them, like the several NV has/had. People!!! if you still are contemplating purchasing from North Valley, reach out to me on facebook........and hope you have a good hour or 2 to chat! The homes are great quality so please find another dealer like Foothills in Rapid City. They have an amazing reputation and still get the same beautiful home without the nightmare after you have signed the dotted line!!!

Response from the owner is soooo laughable!! The best thing that God ever granted us was to show us the light, before we actually made the worst mistake of our life, and bought this business with such a dreadful reputation that would haunt for the rest of our lives!! We didnt "lose" anything, we walked away when we FINALLY learned the truth!! Thank you Lord Jesus for watching out for us!!!!!!

Had a terrible experience here. My wife and I went to several manufactured/modular homes in the area that day. This was by far the worst. The model home smelled bad, the salesperson was not friendly and told us not to go to the other places because North Valley Homes with superior. I'm sorry but that does not make me want to buy something from you, you have to let me know why you're the best not just because you're better than someone else.

Since posting my experience with them I've been contacted several times by others who've been treated just as terribly and lied to by this company. You might end up with a livable homein the end but you'll have spent way more money than intended and dealt with a level of incompetence that's beyond belief. These guys have such a bad reputation that most sub contractors that are worth anything will require payment upfront so they hire the worst of the worst... it's just ridiculous. 1 example our 1was wasn't plumb so the marriage line wasn't coming together. We halted construction until we could figure out the problem. They said their crew would make it weather tight... all they did was shove some empty shingle bags into the vents which then leaked for a month and the ceiling caved in in multiple spots. Then they they fought us to mold test so we ripped sheetrock out ourselves to send her pictures of the mold.

The worst, most incompetent, uncaring, lying bunch of idiot's I've ever met in my entire life. RUN from them, and BE warned! Do NOT buy a home from this company or you will regret you ever stepped foot on the premises. They deserve NO stars!
