Tune-Up Café

One of those spots you want to gatekeep but the food is too good to keep a secret! Came here for a quick lunch while I was doing service calls and the pupusa immediately had me hooked. Returned one weekend with wifey for the tacos and she had a steak sando… immediately became our new fave for a weekend morning brunch. Came back the next time and tried another one of their taco plates, and their mole plate. Without a doubt I have never had a plate here that disappointed. Looking for a nice chill spot to eat some great food and take in the ambiance? This is that spot!

I rarely give 5 star reviews especially for restaurants being in the service industry for years with Michelin star chefs but holy smokes Tune-Up is the best!!!! There service is down pat and absolutely stellar 👌 👏🏼 🙌 ✨ there servers know their menu and do a great job clearing and are friendly and make you feel as if you matter. We've been here multiple times and can't wait to be back. Their Tres Leches is to die for!!! And their Mocha is amazing! My one feedback? Their prices have gone up so maybe the portion sizes could reflect that ? 🤔

Love it. I have been enjoying their food for the past 8 years absolutely everything in their menu is amazing, and it has always been amazing. Although I moved from Santa Fe every time I’m there I always visit, Specially every January since I met my husband there. Oh! We had the lamb tacos, huevos rancheros and the tres leches cake !! Delicious

Great food. Service was very, very slow to take our order. After that service was good and food came out a bit slow, but reasonable. Had the grilled salmon special and it was fantastic! Ate with a group of 7, thought paying would be a hassle but everyone just paid individually at the register and it went super smooth.

Update: Service was fast and friendly this time and all of the food was fantastic! They have such a great extra menu on the board when you go in!

Out of towner review:
We working in Santa Fe for the day, many of the top names for dinner were slammed. We came across Tune-Up as a last ditch effort and weren’t disappointed. The staff were nice, professional, and were able to accommodate us and an infant no problem. They also had a wide assortment of vegetarian options.

Here’s what we ordered:
- Chips and Guac (nothing amazing, wish the quantity of chips was greater)
- Lamb Fajitas (something I never had before and it was quite delicious. Only recommendation would be to provide more than a single tortilla)
- Salvadoran Combo (great tamale and pupusa special, quite a large plate so be ready to eat)
- Mango Chile Margarita (a well made cocktail)

We also ordered a few deserts to go:
- Tres Leches cake (very delicious, recommend)
- Blueberry Crumble (a little too tart, and with the overpowering of cinnamon, just seemed too like too strong of a desert)
- Chocolate Chantilly (the chocolate didn’t seem to go well)

Overall, we really enjoyed our meal. Prices were very reasonable, food was good and hot, and the staff were great. We recommend you stop by and give them a try!

I’ve visited 3 times.
I would not recommend the vegetarian mole enchiladas unless you like very sweet mole and your idea of veggies is tofu and a bit of kernel corn. I found it inedible. My partner’s chicken enchiladas “Christmas” had no sauce… just cheese.

But the salad was memorable… fresh with a tasty dressing… so I tried again on my next visit to Santa Fe.

Breakfast: the omelette was very good.

Dinner try #2: the tune up salad followed by chicken piccata was spectacular. Highly recommend.

I was very impressed with the menu and the dessert case. I ordered the special soup of the day and the Cubano Sandwich which were both delicious. The sandwich came with Homemade Fries that were perfectly cooked. I loved the Moroccan Mint Tea Also :-)
There were 2 girls there that were so friendly and kind and helpful that took my order, served my food and bussed my table outside ( next some super cute flower boxes filled with- you guessed it Super Cute colorful flower :-). Anyway these two girls helped me also get a piece of cake to go :-)
They were Bree and Diana. Found out just before leaving they are managers !
The amount of effort they put into making sure my experience was perfect was so appreciated !
I totally recommend the Tube- Up Cafe.

It definitely didn't disappoint. We will most definitely return. The food was great and the laid back casual atmosphere is exactly what we were looking for. My family has a mix of preferences and tastes and their diverse menu made pleasing everyone simple. Thank you Tune up for a wonderful dinner.

Tune Up Cafe has always been a consistently good and reliable meal when visiting Santa Fe. While everything near the plaza closes at 2pm, they’re open and have one of the best Ruben’s I’ve ever eaten. My toddler enjoyed the chicken tamale.

Excellent smothered breakfast burrito (see picture). Well staffed. Fast service. Clean, cozy, and comfortable.

5⃣⭐ Nice food and menu... I recommend the Mole Colorado Enchiladas. Update: I went back several times and they have an amazing pizza guy as well plus great desserts! The Mole Colorado Enchiladas stay consistent! 🙌🏼🤌🏽💪🏽

This is a great, local place to get a meal. But as we learned on our last visit, they have excellent deserts. We eat here each time we come to Santa Fe. I order off of the specials board each time but had a chicken sandwich once that was a lot better than a chicken sandwich should be. I don't know why though.

I found out about this restaurant through word of mouth and I’m so glad that I did! This restaurant is a hidden gem! I ordered a delicious smothered breakfast burrito. Smothered means it had red and green chilé on top (a wet burrito). The chilé was extremely mild- not hot at all. If you’re a newbie to chilé, I highly recommend this place as a starting point as it’s not spicy. The food was fresh and very tasty! I will be back!

The lamb barbacoa tacos were epic! Great vibe, relaxed and cool. Diana, our server, was on-her-game!

This place is a staple in Santa Fe, and for good reason. The atmosphere is always cozy and lively and the food selection meets the expectations (a mix of New Mexican and Salvadorean foods). We’ve been coming to this restaurant for years now, and its quality, food and service, are consistently excellent. Highly recommend!

Essential Santa Fe—and one of, if not the best breakfast burrito I’ve ever had. Their house-made chorizo is to die for, and the turkey sausage is also great. The kind of restaurant that makes you want to live in Santa Fe.

Tune Up is always on my list of restaurants to visit for breakfast whenever I’m in Santa Fe. Fresh, authentic, and always a spot to sit right away. You order at the counter and they bring your food to the table, easy. Some of my favorites: huevos el salvadoreños, chile relleno, and their specials menu had an amazing chilaquiles. Don’t miss out on Tune Up if you’re in Santa Fe!!

Fantastic service, amazing food! It was chilly outside, but we didn’t mind because we had their warm food to take care of us while we enjoyed the beautiful but simple decor. Did I mention the food? It’s amazing!
