Village II Cleaners

The first LOCAL cleaner who is listed as SAME DAY SERVICE that actually DOES same day service !!!

They were ok

My wife has been a loyal customer at Village II Cleaners almost since their opening day. Recently she took a new skirt that she had worn only once to Village II Cleaners to be cleaned and pressed. They burned the fabric. She returned the skirt there and told them they burned it. They took the skirt back and said they would try to fix it. Thinking that the skirt was stained and not burned, they used a stain remover on the skirt. It came out worse. My wife obtained a receipt for the skirt from the store from which is was bought and requested to be reimbursed for the skirt since Village II Cleaners ruined it after she wore it only one time. They refused to reimburse her for the skirt and instead offer her a cleaning credit on future cleaning bills. Why would she ever take anything back if they won't take responsibility for damage they cause? Additionally they did the same thing to a bride's made dress that my daughter took there about six months ago. Obviously, we are never going back to Village II Cleaners for anything and we recommend you don't take them any garment that you value.

I brought in a white bedding set: coverlet and 3 shams on Wed. 5/19. She told me it would be ready Sat. the 22nd. I asked after any certain time? She assured me it would be ready when she opened at 9 a.m. I got there around 9:45 and it wasn't there. They tried to tell me Monday. That was unacceptable. When I got there at 1:30. I asked for a discount. The original price was $47.45. She tried to tell me $44. She couldn't figure out how to do a 10% discount and tax. They overcharge on tax. NJ sales tax is 6.65%; they charge 7%. It took her 10 MIN. to figure it our. When I got home, there was a small RED DOT on the top of one sham! DO. NOT. GO. THERE.

A few weeks ago, about 9 months after the incident, Rich from this business called me to apologize. He offered compensation for the ruined item and asked for the opportunity to try them again. I said I would. Then, I got really sick and was hospitalized. He's called twice more for me to change my review. Well. Here's my updated review...he called, yes, 9 MONTHS after the fact. He sent me a check, yes, WHICH I DID NOT ASK FOR. Proceed with caution.

Been using for dry cleaning for years. Past 6 mos have picked up shirts with stains on them. I started checking each shirt so they could mark any stains. Just sprayed and washed the 4th shirt that they said they couldn’t remove the stain-stains gone. I’m done
