Sonder The Mint

Nice apartment, clean and spacious. Overlooking the Lincoln Bridge ramp, so there’s some traffic noise, but the separate bedroom is surprisingly quiet. Has a kitchen and even washer and dryer. Amazing value for money. Walking distance from the historic city center and shopping as well as the convention center.

Beautiful place, clean, feels very new. Easy to access. Was a great way to bring in the new year with family. Floor to ceiling windows & view of the city and the fireworks at Penn’s Landing.

My partner and I recently stayed at this Sonder property for a quick getaway to Philadelphia, and overall, we had a pleasant experience. The property was well-maintained and clean, with a convenient location that made it easy to access everything we wanted to see in the city. The suggestions provided by the Sonder host via the app were also helpful in planning our activities during our stay.

However, there were a few minor issues with the property that did detract from our experience. We noticed that the faucet handle for the sink in the bathroom, one of the ceiling lights in the bathroom, and the doorknob to the bathroom were broken. Additionally, there were some loose floorboards in the kitchen area. While these issues were a bit of a nuisance, they did not overshadow the positive aspects of our stay.

Despite these minor maintenance issues, we found this Sonder property to be a lovely place to stay. The location was ideal for exploring the city, and the peaceful and quiet atmosphere allowed us to relax and recharge after a busy day of sightseeing. We would definitely consider staying at this Sonder property again the next time we visit Philadelphia. Overall, our experience was enjoyable and we would recommend Sonder to others looking for a comfortable and convenient place to stay in the city.

Wonderful hotel, if you don't mind being right next to the Benjamin Franklin Bridge and the interstate that runs over it (lots of traffic noise). Very conveniently located near all the major attractions of Old City. Cozy apartment and amenities. We will definitely stay there again. Highly recommended!

We had a great experience at Sonder in Philly! We were within walking distance to Old City and the historic district with plenty of places to eat and things to see. The actual unit itself was great to come back to each day…super comfortable and spacious. And the skyline view at sunset was beautiful!

We stayed in July 2023 with 6 adults. First- location location location. It is near all the second stop for the City Sighting Tour bus and only minutes from Independence Center and the Liberty Bell. The apartment was spacious and very clean. We had enough space to accommodate all six without issue. The washer and dryer was a major plus as we packed light for the 5 days. Sonder staff were excellent and although we had no issues at all with our stay our pre-arrival asks were met and addressed immediately.
Advice for future stays- there is a parking a garage across the street and it is perfect for your stay. $35 a day was very fair. Franklins Ice Cream is a must stop and OH Brother was the best cheesesteak we had in the City. Both are on Market Street.

Sonder was a wonderful host and we appreciated the care attention.

Will book again at Sonder.

This place was an absolute gem! The prices can't be beat for the quality of this stay. It was clean and modern, and the few small issues we had were addressed right away by Sonder's customer service. I will be looking to stay in another Sonder property in the future.

Had a great stay here at Sonder the Mint.

Pros:
Location - walkable to so much, especially the touristy stuff. I had two little kids with me so it was important that they see those touristy things like the Mint and Independence Hall/Liberty Bell.

Amenities - They provided limited coffee (I would have liked more coffees and teas for three mornings), tea, and plenty of towels and spare sheets for beds. It was great having a king bed, queen bed, 2 baths, and a pull out sofa for my kids.

Check-in - a breeze.

Cons:
Storage lockers - they were completely booked up the entire time we were there. I wanted to snag one or two for all of our stuff as our checkout was 11am but our flight wasn't until 830pm.

Checking in and Checking out - Didn't like the nickel and diming with checking in and out. I will admit that I was able to check in 30 minutes early, but $20 to check out an hour later? Not sure I'm a fan of it but I get it.

I read about some noise concerns, but I was located along Race Street so I didn't have any problems with noise.

Overall, my wife, mother in law, and two kids had a great stay, with plenty of room. Many markets/bodegas are situated near by to grab groceries and it was relatively peaceful. There was a party across the street that was rather loud, but that died down rather quickly. We would stay here again, no doubt.

Its not my first time at sonder the mint, but this time was really exceptional. My reservation was for two bedroom apartment and they gave me two apartments with one bedroom each and both apartments connected with a shared entrance. The apartments were clean and spacious and over looking the Ben Franklin bridge, couldn’t ask for more !

The property was very clean and well-maintained. I appreciated that even though my apartment was near the elevator, the bedroom was quiet. I particularly loved having a full kitchen and a washer/dryer to do a load of laundry.

The Mint is centrally located within Old City. Pretty much everything Liberty Bell was easily walkable. Many delish restaurants abounded. The Sonder Staff of The Mint were professional, personable and happy. Thank you for a lovely stay Team Sonder !

We liked it very much. It was easy to mantain. Beds and bathrooms super comfortable. We really liked the apt. And had a lovely time. Will surely keep on using Sunder.

Great apartment. We stayed a week and had a good stay. Everything clean and tidy. One minor problem was sorted efficiently. Sonder very responsive through the app. Would use again if coming back to Philly.

Overall this was a great stay for our family. It was the two of us with our 3 year old for a week in a one bedroom. The location was excellent, it was within walking distance to most everything we wanted to do. The No. 2 PHLASH stop was really close, just down 3rd and there is a grocery store just down the corner.

Our room was very clean and comfortable, having a washer and dryer was awesome! Also having a full kitchen was great. We didn’t cook much in, there are so many food options in town. It was handy for reheating leftovers. The tub is not very toddler bath time friendly, you kind of have to stand in the tub with the kiddo with how the glass is setup right in front of the controls, that may be our biggest negative comment. You can tell there is some wear and tear on the place but overall everything has been maintained well.

We didn’t have much of a view but that’s not the reason we chose this place so that didn’t bother us. We were in an ‘ally’ side room, you hear the train occasionally passing but overall that never really disturbed us. I know I read a few reviews claiming it’s awful. That wasn’t our experience.

The check-in / check out process was different but super easy. You get a key fob instead of a card, I’m not sure what you would do if you locked yourself out since there isn’t anyone on site, that never happened to us thankfully. We enjoyed our stay and will be considering Sonder for future vacations where ever we may go.

Beautiful architecture. High ceilings. Tucked away cabinets. Spacious. Tall bathtub. Great Executive housing.

Beautiful apartment- clean and modern. Excellent location. Helpful and attentive customer service, despite not having a concierge. Couple things- WiFi was weak and complicated our work access. Kitchen faucet was stuck in spray mode and made a continual mess when in use.

Very clean and spacious. Check in and check out process was seamless. Would recommend the place and location. Walking distance to a lot of attractions in the city.

It was a great stay and great service! Sparkling clean. Easy to access. The apartment was so cute that I didn’t wanna leave. The location was great. Parking was not cheap because this is a very touristy area.

No other place I’d rather stay. I LOVE Sonder. It always feels like home, no matter the location. Quality, peace of mind, & always very comfortable.

We love this place, everything was great. So comfortable. Great location. The kitchen has all the essentials, very clean. We stayed in a one-bedroom apartment and was really great option. 100% recomended.
