This food was stellar; I went with a friend after work. The duck mac and cheese was delicious, and so was the burger. The tiramisu was very rich and filling. This is a good place for special occasions, but it is well worth it. Very friendly staff & nice interior.

went out for dinner with friends here and it quickly became a cherished night out! the aesthetic and decor inside is not like a restaurant we’ve ever been to before and it was refreshing! for food, we ordered the tapas tower and everything came out quickly and tasted delicious. our waitress was kind and friendly and didn’t mind that we stayed a tad bit longer after we paid our bill. all in all a true hidden gem and we will definitely be back!

What a hidden gem. Came for dinner, not sure what to expect. I was very impressed with the quality of the food. Beyond the freshness and presentation, it was delicious. The tapas menu let's you taste a lot of the delicious appetizers. The bacon wrapped dates, chorizo, shrimp in garlic sauce, octopus...so many choices all delicious. The meals just as good. The double cut stuffed pork chop was amazing. Add to it, the cozy wood lined walls and tin roof, and the stellar service you get five stars! BYOB in Bordentown location.

Perfect for a family dinner. Had the tapas tower. The Skirt Steak with the Chimichurri and the Mashed Potatoes were phenomenal. Beautifully cooked medium rare steak. My wife had the arancini, which was also delicious. The Spanish meatballs (albondigas) had rich umami flavor and the accompanying tomato sauce was flavorful. The queso was also very good, and the toast was perfect. I loved the meal. My wife really enjoyed the Banana Bread Pudding. Overall an excellent meal

We recently dined at Under the Moon in Bordentown, NJ, and our experience was truly delightful. The service we received from our server Abby was outstanding; she was incredibly attentive, ensuring that our dining experience was both comfortable and enjoyable. The standout dishes of the evening were the GAMBAS AL AJILLO and the beef empanadas. The GAMBAS AL AJILLO, a traditional Spanish garlic shrimp dish, was exquisitely prepared, offering a perfect blend of flavors that tantalized our taste buds. The beef empanadas were equally impressive, with their flaky pastry and well-seasoned filling providing a savory delight.

The atmosphere of the restaurant significantly enhanced our overall experience. The ambiance was charming and inviting, creating a warm and cozy environment that beautifully complemented our meal. Additionally, the prices at Under the Moon were quite reasonable, which was a pleasant surprise considering the high quality of the food and service. This makes the restaurant an excellent choice for those seeking a memorable dining experience without an extravagant expense. In summary, Under the Moon in Bordentown, NJ, is a culinary gem that we highly recommend to anyone in search of delicious food, exemplary service, and a delightful atmosphere.

My wife and I came here for a lunch date and we loved everything about the place. I know the menu changes but I look forward to trying something new any time I go. The food was phenomenal and the desserts look great too. We enjoyed all the wall decor and the way the entire restaurant was set up. We had great service and no complaints whatsoever about our experience. Highly recommend!

I really loved this place, will definitely recommend to my friends and family. Love their unique lemonade, the cappuccino was so so good, waffles and chicken, and home potatoes and eggs, I’ll give a 4 to the stake just because it had like a smell to it that I try to avoid when it comes to meat. The dessert we had was a Tres Leches and I’m going to be honest here I didn’t like that the sugar was so grainy and it was too sweet, the icing on top should definitely be replaced with their home made whipped cream 😍🫶🏼which we asked for two servings of (that’s how much we loved it) also we had buffalo chicken meatballs and I liked it but the blue cheese was very strong.

Its a beautiful cafe with good food and service. We went there for weekend brunch and ordered coffee, grilled chicken sandwich, artichoke rice balls and french toast. Fresh toast was outstanding with perfect amount of sweetness, not too sweet so you can finish complete and it was quite fulfilling. Artichoke balls and coffee was also very good. We didn’t like grilled chicken sandwich as it was quite dry. Overall its a nice place for weekend breakfast.

When it comes to memorable dining experiences in Bordentown, New Jersey, Under the Moon Cafe holds a special place in my heart. From the delightful appetizers to the tantalizing tapas tower, every dish showcased the chef's culinary expertise. The warm and welcoming atmosphere, coupled with the friendly service, made the dinner even more enjoyable. Under the Moon Cafe truly feels like a home away from home.

To kick off, I decided to start with the Artichoke Rice Balls accompanied by a Cheese-Basil Aioli. This appetizer was a fantastic choice and set the tone for an exceptional meal. The rice balls were perfectly crispy on the outside, revealing a creamy and flavorful artichoke center. The Cheese-Basil Aioli provided a delectable tangy kick, complementing the rice balls beautifully. Each bite was a burst of flavor that left me craving more.

For my main course, I opted for the Tapas Tower, which turned out to be an incredible culinary adventure. The tower showcased an array of delectable dishes, starting with the Skirt Steak topped with Chimichurri, a classic Argentinian sauce that added a refreshing herbal note to the perfectly cooked steak. Paired with creamy Mash Potatoes, this combination was a match made in food heaven.

Next up was the Grilled Octopus, a dish that surprised and delighted me. The tender and charred octopus had a delightful smokiness, and its subtle flavor was enhanced by a light seasoning that let the natural taste shine through.

The Pork Belly Bites with a Soy Glaze were the epitome of indulgence. The succulent, melt-in-your-mouth bites were accompanied by a rich and savory soy glaze that provided a delightful flavor.

My mom opted for the Risotto Special, and it was evident that she thoroughly enjoyed it. Creamy and perfectly cooked, the risotto was a delightful mix of flavors and textures.

Apart from the delectable food, Under the Moon Cafe exudes a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The tables against the wall, complete with bench cushions and pillows, create a cozy and homely ambiance. From the moment we walked in, we were made to feel right at home, adding to the overall enjoyment of the dining experience.

I discovered this little place a few weeks ago and so glad I did!!! Been there twice in 2 weeks ! The decor is throwback for anyone that wants to relive the '50s and '60s even further back with some of their antique props and pics thru out the restaurant!
Even the bathroom is tastefully decorated with memorabilia!
Most importantly the wait staff and food is fabulous and delicious!!! Added Plus its BYOB!!! If you haven't tried this place yet you must!!!

Put this place on your bucket list! Such a phenomenal ambiance, perfect location in downtown Bordentown! I love the eclectic design that's carried out throughout the restaurant (even the bathroom). The food was also very fresh and delicious. Plus it's BYOB! and if that wasn't enough, they have an assortment of homemade baked delicacies!! Their cappuccino was so good, made me feel so happy inside. Definitely a date spot! Also a fun place for tapas with friends. I haven't tried their tapas but was told they're phenomenal! Such an awesome experience!

Very unique cool place in Bordentown, open lunch and dinner. Stopped in for lunch, really delicious. We had the whole place to ourselves, which I appreciated, assume since it was a snowy day it kept people home. My friend and I got two appetizers, beef empanadas and a special of burrata on toast with yellow tomatoes. The empanadas were good, but I dont care for olives so was surprised to see them inside. Had I known, I would have opted for something else, but only because I dont care for olives. However, the burrata toast was amazing, and I could have eaten that all day long!! I absolutely loved all the flavors. For our main meal, we both opted for the Cuban sandwich, it was very tasty, we both loved it, and were happy to take half the sandwich home. The desserts were amazing and apparently are known for them, they are all hand made, and a ton of choices. I got the tiramisu, delicious. My friend got the raspberry coffee cake, it was huge and she loved it. Very generous portions. Our server was very sweet and did a great job. Highly recommended!!

The eatery isn't very big, but has enough seating for couples with several booths. It is decorated like your grandmother's house. Vintage memerobilia throughout the place. Waiters were young but very good and efficient. I got the chicken with waffles and asked for regular syrup and butter, as it came with a spicy syrup (which I got on the side and was actually pretty good). It was so good! The chicken was boneless white meat chicken, seasoned and cooked perfectly. The waffle was warm, crunchy on the outside, but soft on the inside and was very delicious. It also came with a side of seasoned potatoes that were also great. The only thing was the iced tea was very strong, so I kept diluting it with my water. For dessert, I got the German butter cake. That was really good. I was very full and satisfied. I also like how the tableware didn't match and were antique. Pleasantly unusual. I will definitely be back and highly recommend the chicken with waffles.

Great time! Great atmosphere. excellent food. Very impressed with the risotto. Actually traditionally creamy. Parmigiano reggiano, Rice, & a good chef. No need for cream. Excellent green included with the rice balls (arancini) & risotto. Appreciate the more authentic approach. Need to try the more Spanish based cuisine. Only thing I couldn't recommend would be the espresso.

Probably the coolest restaurant environment in Bordentown. The waitress was so kind and attentive! The food was delicious and the serving size was perfect. Exactly what a serving size should be! For dessert I had a warm brownie and a coffee which top the experience and chill vibes. If you are in the Bordentown area, do yourself a favor and stop in!

This place has been on my "want to go" list for like a year & a half. My Love of 8years celebrated our 8th anniversary here yesterday & we had a LOVELY time! Tina was a gracious host, very attentive and kind! We never felt rushed and the food was quite tasty!
Additionally, despite how busy they were & us not having a reservation on a Saturday night, we were seated quickly.
On this visit we threw caution to the wind & ordered the specials(creamy cauliflower and bacon soup, duck & mac-n-cheese empanadas, chorizo empanadas, creamy risotto with tomato and greens---we will for sure, be back to try more of the food.

Wow! Absolutely amazing food. They put a unique twist in some of the most ordinary dishes… duck and dried cherries in a Gouda Mac and cheese? Phenomenal. Just one example of many. Service was excellent and so fast. Very cute decor and convenient street parking. I’m planning on going back as soon as I can.

Very nice ambiance, food was delicious but very pricey! We went there for Easter and I enjoyed the food. It's better when you go without kid's because $8 for a bottle of Spring Water is nuts! I enjoyed the Empanadas and Artichoke ball's. 🤤 This would be a nice place to go if you were on a date.
