Though my father and uncles who honorably served in WW2 are not buried here, I visit here 2x per year to salute and say their names and of those that as I walk by their final resting place. Stangers, no, heros and comrades, yes. I have chosen this site to rest when my time is up. The BG William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery is the most beautiful and reverent resting place for all those who served this great country.

Beautiful respectful resting place.
All workers extremely kind.
Take a picture or write down burial location details. The book and computer takes at least 3-5 months to update.
Visit on weekends or holidays whenever possible.
They ARE busy…..
Keep this in mind if visiting during the week.
Some may find the “factory“ look of so many funerals and burials disturbing.
Keep in mind that you ARE NOT allowed to watch actual burial. The 2 locations for the service are very respectful. One is a permanent structure, the other is a temporary tent. Due to Covid, the chapel is closed still.

My mother Florence Hirschfeld was laid to rest beside our father William Hirschfeld this morning January 29th 2024 at this cemetery. I was joined by my brother and 3 sisters along with our children and grandchildren at the chapel where pastor gave a wonderful service under God. After the service we all gathered around our father's grave where we found a hole dug out and dirt in a bucket. Then along came the most rude insensitive cemetery worker with my mom's ashes. He was put out visibly irritated when I asked him if my sister could put some of my father's ashes she had with my mom. I hope someone treats him with more dignity at his funeral than he did at my parents. God bless.

This was a beautiful cemetery. My father passed away in 2003. The staff were wonderful and caring. And everything went very smoothly.

I have noticed lots of negative comments about this cemetery. My father was buried here in June 2012 and my mother, brother and myself could not have been more pleased with the respect and dignity that my father received at his commitment ceremony near the memorial walk and pond. Followed by the naval honor guard folding and presenting the flag to my mother as taps were being played in the woods behind us. Nine years later, September 2021 my mother joined my father for their eternal rest "together in heaven forever". Even though my mom was non-military she was treated with the same respect and dignity by the entire staff at commitment shelter Z.

I find this place to be very peaceful and beautiful for a final resting place. The grounds and facilities at this cemetery are always clean and well maintained. The map and grave locator is a big help in finding a specific grave.

I currently live in Florida and do not get back to NJ that often but I visit every time I do. Just today I called to see if the grave marker had been updated with Mom's info. The gentleman that took my call (thanks Joe) took my information and told me he would go out to the grave site and check and would call me back or take a photo if it was. Fifteen minutes later I get a picture of the new grave marker in a text. Just one example of the wonderful people and staff that take care of this beautiful somber place of rest. THANK YOU ALL!

My father, SP4 Luisito Maldonado-Ortiz, served in the Army from 1962-1965 as an ammunition specialist. Married to Luz Barerro, Louis passed away but is always remembered for his smile, patriotism and love for Family. The ceremony at BG Doyle was dignified. We held a viewing and service at the Mount Laurel Home for Funerals who informed us of the tight military burial schedule. Being an Army retiree and mother to Airmen and Soldiers, I understand the need for burial schedules. I appreciate the fact that servicemembers from different services participated in the service. The female Specialist that presented my mother with a flag broke my heart as she spoke with true empathy. Thank you for a job Well Done! Hooah!

Wasn't going to post about this but...

My mother and father, after 2 years and backlogs with the VA, were laid in thier final resting place today. I can not express the care, respect and how helpful the staff and servicemen were at the Brigadere William C Doyle Cemetery. My father was able to receive a most honorable service along side his wife, our mother of 65 years together. My brother was presented with his flag in a very emotional yet respectful tradition.

Many Thanks to those who serve and have served 🙏🇺🇸🙏🇺🇸

I can not thank Brigadier Cemetery enough for the beautiful and respectful tribute they offered my uncle, a Vietnam Vet. The service at their chapel was simple, much like the man himself, but the flag presentation was emotional, and very respectful of the family. I was impressed with the beautiful cemetery he is laid to rest at, and appreciate how well maintained it is.

My Mother, Father, Sister and Brother all buried here and all served in the Army or Navy. Very impresssed with this place, from memorial service to burial. Love the flags on each and every grave for special military holidays and will be going to see the family for this Memorial Day.

So very touching, especially when the flags were on all the graves for Memorial Day. It is very well kept; a water fountain; benches all over; maps available to find graves & signs up.

The cemetery itself is well maintained and it is a beautiful and very peaceful place. My mother and father are both buried there. My only comment is that the restrooms in the visitor center need to be better maintained. Never enough ventilation, no hand soap my last three visits and they need to be cleaned.

Beautiful cemetery. They keep it immaculate. I go to the Memorial Day celebration every day - very moving. My brother was buried there 9 years ago. Many people said it was one of the nicest farewells they had ever seen.
