We enrolled our child in the Children's House program at Guidepost Montessori, and it has been an incredibly enriching journey for our family. The focus on fostering independence skills and grace and courtesy has truly set this program apart.

Our child has flourished in this environment and is now excelling beyond our expectations in Kindergarten. Math concepts have become a breeze for them, and they are reading at a beginner's level, putting them ahead of most of their peers who are still grappling with letter sounds.

Initially, we were hesitant about the new addition to the administrative team, Ms. Flora. However, all our concerns were quickly alleviated as we witnessed the positive impact she brought to the school. Her dedication and effort in transforming the school into a tight-knit community are commendable. From introducing fantastic enrichment programs to implementing engaging school-wide themes and organizing wonderful community events, she's been instrumental in enhancing the overall learning experience for our child.

While we ultimately had to transition to our local public school system due to financial restraints, I wholeheartedly recommend Guidepost Montessori to any parent seeking a hands-on educational experience for their child. It's a nurturing environment where children can truly thrive and develop essential life skills while enjoying the journey of learning.

Thank you, Guidepost Montessori, for the incredible impact you've had on our child's education.

I truly want to thank this community from the bottom of my heart. We sent both of our children here starting when they were 3 years old and 18 months old. My 3 year old is now 3.5 years old and is non-verbal with additional needs. The entire staff, not just the guides/teachers in my eldest's classroom, went above and beyond to ensure both of our children were receiving individualized and child specific education that was most appropriate for them. They worked incredibly well with us having to take our eldest child out of class 1x/week every week for his private speech therapy appointments.

My eldest's lead guide/teacher and the head of the school had set up weekly meetings with me to set weekly targets/goals for my eldest child. They even went as far as to develop and implement an individualized/personalized picture communication system for my eldest in order to help him thrive in the classroom. They provided my child a voice in the classroom when he doesn't vocally have one.

This community also has provided significant support not just simply on the education side but also on the parenting side. The term "it takes a village" definitely applies, this community has been a huge part of my village. Guidepost Montessori at Laurel Oak is far from simply childcare, they were a huge part in the raising of my children and I will forever been grateful for them.

Both of my children are vastly different and at Guidepost Montessori at Laurel Oak the entire staff made my entire family feel welcomed, cared for, and loved. I highly recommend this community! As a parent of a neurotypical 2 year old now and a neurodivergent and non-verbal 3.5 year old, I felt as though both of my children were equally provided the best individualized learning environment. My 3.5 year old is now being evaluated through our local school district to provide him with the skilled services he requires or else we would still have our eldest in this community. I highly recommend Guidepost Montessori at Laurel Oak!!!!!

Our son has attended Guidepost since they opened in January, during the Covid shutdown and he is back again now that they have reopened. At every step along this difficult journey the staff, administration and everyone we have met at Guidepost have been stellar in every way. They have cared for our son as if he is part of their own family and their communication in a period on constant change has never faltered. Most importantly, we have seen our sons language, coordination, interpersonal skills and overall temperament develop in leaps and bounds.
Guidepost has been great for our family and we highly recommend you consider them for yours as well.

The Guides, assistants and staff are all warm, dynamic and professional and have absolutely exceeded my expectations both in the educational experiences that my child is having, and in the care and support of her in her day. I feel very comfortable in "these times" with how the school is handling health and safety issues and I really appreciate the steps that are being implemented to have the parents involved in the day to day (albeit it virtually at the moment).

We have had a wonderful experience at Guidepost. The administration, staff, and classroom guides have exceeded all our expectations. A positive and enriched learning environment is created while maintaining a Covid safety protocol. Our child is provided with thoughtful stimulus and a sense of excitement. Kudos.

We absolutely love our 6 year old's elementary class! She comes home everyday excited about what she did and daily pictures from the teacher show us everything they are learning. The facility is sparkling clean with strict drop off/pick up and the staff is wonderful and welcoming!

This is such an amazing school. Our daughter never wants to leave and no matter what time i get her it’s too early. They are learning so much and the administration and teachers are so loving and wonderful.

When we first started at Guidepost in 2020 we had the best experience and recommended it to everyone. Small class sizes, teachers who cared about our kids as if they were their own, and a dedication to the Montessori method of learning. Unfortunately, things have changed drastically, and it just isn't the same place it used to be. Communication between staff and parents is poor, the commitment to Montessori learning doesn't take priority, the class sizes for the 3 to 6-year-old rooms (Children's House) are enormous, and the staff aren't properly trained to implement extra accommodations like sensory diets and specialized listening environments. The staff are also ill-equipped to work with children exhibiting "behavioral" issues related to ADHD or other yet-to-be diagnosed challenges. Due to the deteriorating quality of the school, I would not recommend sending any child here, and especially not one that might need a little extra attention or accommodation. It's such a shame and breaks my heart that the place we loved so much has become what it is now.
