The Pantry

The Pantry is such a cozy and yummy spot for breakfast, in our case. I had the stuffed French toast which was absolutely delicious. The creamy filling paired perfectly with the strawberry topping and the toast itself was just right. I’ve never had French toast done up in such a way before and now I’m going to be looking for a place closer to home where I can get the same. Service was great and attentive despite a packed house.

Exceptional food. It was funny coming here on a suggestion from Google Maps while I was driving and realizing I’d eaten here seven years prior. It immediately felt familiar and so comfortable. The servers were great and the other diners were so wonderful. I met a man from Hawaii and a cheery local named Billy. It was such a nice welcome back to New Mexico.

Great little place to stop for authentic NM Mexican cuisine. We enjoyed our food and the humongous sopapillas! Tight parking and it looked like a full house when we came through the door but they have seating in a back dining room.

In New Mexico for the Balloon Fest. Our party kept passing the restaurant to and from our resort and always saw it busy. Today we decided to try it. We were not disappointed by Any aspect. Food, service and atmosphere were all excellent.

One of two places we had to eat at twice. The green chile stew and chiliquiles are to die for. Service is fantastic and the food is brilliant. You need to eat here!

The food was outstanding. I had the chicken fried steak, New Mexico style. Instead of gravy, it was covered with chilie sauce. Amazing taste and generous portions. I had an enchilada on the side and that was also very tasty.

This place was fabulous do not miss. We got the Sopapilla Ground beef and Chicken Fried Steak NM style with white gravy and hatch green chilie added. This was the best food we have had in town. Very flavorful and service was great. Their Iced Tea was great too!!!

My husband and I go to The Pantry anytime we’re in Santa Fe. Delicious New Mexican homestyle food whether you’re looking for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. We’ve never experienced more than a 20 minute wait, there is ample parking, and the service is lovely.

Chilaquilas are extremely saucy. Service is a little hit and miss. Otherwise, this is a gem, an institution, great for breakfast, lunch , dinner, or all three!

One of the best Burritos I have ever had. Carne Adovada was delicious. The chips and dips (salsa, guacamole and queso) were fantastic as well. Kids both had the Quesadilla (chicken and beef) and they loved them. My wife had the chicken fried steak smothered in green chile which was scrumptious! Well definitely come back on our way through again!

This place is phenomenal! The pantry fries are so good and the green chili is so flavorful and the right amount of spice.

My brother recommended this place. Since he is a food expert, especially steak, I promptly checked it out. I was very impressed! The chicken fried steak new mexico style was unbelievably good. I highly recommend this establishment.

Great cozy café. Located right off the street. Plenty of parking. We were seated right away. Service was on top of everything we needed. Food was top notch. Great selection of New Mexican food dishes and American style dishes. Food was hot and the chile was right there too. Will be coming back for a visit.

Wow! They live up to the hype. Great New Mexico food! Breakfast sandwich was out of this world! Got it with a side of green chile. Blue corn cinnamon pancake also so so good. Our server was wonderful and so sweet. Customer service from everyone we encountered was great. Will come back any time I’m in Santa Fe.

Best food and service I've had in a restaurant in a looong time. The place is spotless, food was excellent, and the staff were friendly and attentative. Great value for the portion sizes and it's easy to see why this place has been in business since 1948. We will definitely be back next time we're in town! Thank you!

Listed as my place to go if I am ever in the area. Start to finish an amazing experience. I had a sample of everything at our table of 7 but my stuffed French toast was absolutely fabulous. Friendly fast service, comfortable atmosphere. I can't wait to try the other menu items.

We were blown away by this place. It was crowded at lunch time (which I always take as a good sign being somewhere new) so we sat at the bar, which I would absolutely recommend to any couple! It was so much fun to watch the workers and everything that came out from the kitchen looked amazing. We had the chips&dips and the queso and guacamole were amazing and I was so pleased with the portions. The house made chips were also incredible. A couple next to us got the cinnamon roll that was the size of an entire plate! We had the chicken wraps and it was beyond good.

This seemed like a hole in the wall but was really the best food we had in Santa Fe. I would go every day if I could!

Cozy dining area, excellent service, and food. Exceptional taco salad. The wife said the fish tacos were very fresh, some of the best.

Their green chíle sauce is very good, filled with aroma and great consistency, not like the watery tomato-y one commonly seen. They also see it separately in container which says a lot in their confidence in their sauce. The breakfast burrito with chorizo and chíle relleno omelette are both really good and filling. The eggs are cooked pretty well with a fluffy texture, paired with the kick of chíle, it’s a great start to the morning. The place seems to fill up quickly. We arrived around 8:05am on a Sat and was lucky enough to get seated right away.

But one caution is that their chíle is spicier than typical one. So if you don’t handle spice well, beware of that.

Absolutely amazing! The food, the service, everything is great. I came in and was a little hesitant because I’m alone but they made me feel very comfortable and then as soon as I sat down my drink came out quickly and my food came out in literally 2 minutes it was crazy. And everyone works here, they all help out and they all check on you. They are very busy yet they clean tables and sit people so quickly that it’s efficient. Amazing place & wil come back!
