One of my favorite restaurants in Cape May. The venue is amazing, eating in an old house really makes this restaurant unique. Also they have some of the best Chicken Parm I’ve had. And I LOVE it is BYOB.

The food is delicious and the service is attentive without being intrusive. The specials were pricey. The creme brulee dessert was made in-house and was quite a treat.

My favorite restaurant in Cape May! From the appetizers to the dessert, the food was delicious! The atmosphere was absolutely charming as it is in a restored Victorian house. The service was impeccable. By the time we finished dessert (the most delicious Tiramsui I ever had), we felt as if we had known our server for years! We can’t wait to go back. Highly recommend!

Sapore Italiano has not disappointed us once! It’s a favorite tradition now in our family to enjoy this gem of an Italian restaurant in Cape May. The food is always excellent, the prices reasonable and the staff has always been professional and attentive. The hostess are very helpful and Emir is always a great waiter can’t wait to get back.!

We hosted a rehearsal dinner for our son and daughter-in-law on their wedding weekend at Sappore Italiano. Linda was a wonderful asset from the beginning of our planning process all the way to the end of the event. The restaurant team provided exceptional service when professionally taking orders, providing drinks, and swiftly clearing tables. They even helped us set up our own decorations and package them into the car at the end of the night in the pouring rain. The event menu provided plenty of options for everybody and the food was served hot, ready, and in a timely manner. None of the guests had to wait for their meal! We even had a last-minute guest with diet restrictions, but Linda acted without hesitation and was able to provide the guest with a proper dish to meet their needs. Because the restaurant is a BYOB, the team allowed us to drop off wine and beer the morning of the event. We arrived that evening to find all the drinks in ice and ready to be served. We are very thankful for the hospitality provided at Sappore Italiano. They made our experience enjoyable and stress-free during our busy wedding weekend.

I came here on my last night in Cape May and out of all the places I have dined this place was the best. Food and service was spectacular. The tables were greatly spaced apart due to social distancing and even though indoor dining is permitted, they still were doing outdoor dining. I had the specials which were the Lobster Bisque and Branzino, and both were fantastic. They also threw in a complimentary Antipasti to start. The waitstaff was friendly and attentive. This place like several others in Cape May are BYOB. I will definitely come back the next time I visit the area.

ATTENTION ALL PASSIONATE FOODIES (i.e., diners): If you haven't ever eaten a meal at Sapore, you are missing out on one of the greatest Italian restaurants in New Jersey. My wife, sister-in-law & I eat out quite often, so we know delicious food when we eat it (and bad food when we leave it on the plate). We aren't snobs about it. Face it - not everyone can run a restaurant that consistantly serves tasty, fresh, authentic quality dinners like Sapore can. Their lasagna bolognese is the finest lasagna I've ever eaten, & I know lasagna. Imported ingredients are combinef in a way that just blows every other lasagna out of the water! But if you don't care for lasagna, the veal is pounded thin & tender, the crabmeat entrees are loaded with lump crabmeat - I could go on & on, but you get the idea. The portions are huge, the waitstaff are very friendly & accomodating, the atmosphere is upscale, hip yet elegant, the desserts are awesome (get the lemon nonna cake!!!!) - in short, why are you still reading this??? Make reservations now, & when you're there, ask for Linda - she's the manager, sometimes waitress & a sweetheart. Tell her Kevin sent you.....

Great taste, fresh and delicious Italian cuisine. Chef sent complementarity appetizer while waiting for our dinner.Desert menu with great choices. This is our second time visiting this restaurant we go every December. The food is amazing as well as the staff. The restaurant is very cozy beautiful decorated. The wait staff was very attentive and personable. The food portions are huge. Excellent menu and plenty of Choices as well as the dessert menu so many choices as well as coffee and tea etc. Easy to park in there lot behind the restaurant which is free Also very Close to shops .

I recently dined at Sapore of Cape May, and once again, it was another terrific meal! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly and seated promptly. The ambiance was lovely, setting the stage for a delightful dining experience.

For our main courses, I opted for the Veal Parmigiano while my husband chose the Salmon. Both dishes were simply fantastic!

When it came time for dessert, we indulged in the Tiramisu, and it was nothing short of amazing! It was the perfect sweet ending to an already outstanding meal.

I must give a special shoutout to Linda, with her friendly demeanor added to the overall enjoyment of our dining experience. Thank you, Linda, for ensuring that we had another great meal. We can't wait to return for another culinary delight!

It is the absolute best place in Cape May Nj. We started with antipatsa veggi/cheese/meat, for entree we had Bronzino , pasta Pescatore and finished with home made tiramisu. You can’t say enough good things about this place.

Best Italian food down the shore. Gnocchi are house-made and gorgonzola sauce is amazing. It's like eating little clouds! The chicken saltimbocca is enough food for 2 meals, and the sauce is so flavorful. We have been here dozens of times, and they never disappoint!

We dined here during Restaurant Week. The fixed price menu was well worth it. My husband had chicken Oscar. I had veal carciofi, with shrimp and artichoke in a delicious lemon caper sauce. Before this was a choice of starter, then pasta misto. Dessert was tiramisu and Nonna's cake, both delicious. Very attentive service.

I love this place, whenever I am in Cape May, I definitely try to stop for dinner!!! The Mushroom Risotto is the best ever!! I have never had a bad meal here. Make sure you stop for a top notch Italian dining experience. Update: just found out they took the Mushroom Risotto off the menu, I am pretty bummed. The was a very delicious dish!

I don't understand how anyone could possibly give this establishment lower than 4 stars! Maybe they just came on an 'off day'... who knows?
Anyways-- food was astounding! Service was amazing! Atmosphere was amazing, and I think it's a great place to have a family dinner!
Also, it honestly wasn't as expensive as I expected.
