Godmother's Restaurant

Classy but warm atmosphere. Amazing food and killer dessert. It was a little pricey but you do get a good amount of food. I would have to recommend the chicken Alfredo and loaded garlic bread. The grilled chicken for the Alfredo is tender, full of flavor and then covered in cheese and alfrdo. Pasta is on the side. And the loaded garlic bread is addictive. Gralic bread with roasted red peppers, spinach and mozzarella cheese. What a loving creation.

My husband and I went for dinner. I got the early bird special which includes an appetizer, entree and dessert. Everything was excellent. I felt that it was the perfect portion size. Presentation was beautiful. Waitstaff was wonderful. It's relaxed inside. No being picked in like sardines of so much noise you can barely hear yourself. My husband also really enjoyed his meal.

I've also gone with my young children a few years ago. You can comfortably bring your child.

The food was delicious and the service excellent - well above par. I have no complaints about Godmother's. The lobster bisque was probably the best I've ever had, and my shrimp scampi entree was phenomenal as well. Others in my party we're similarly pleased with the food and service. A special mention is merited of the hostess, who was a strikingly friendly lady who seemed genuinely caring about the quality of our visit. Interacting with her was truly a pleasure. Our server was fantastic as well. He was a man with black hair and a rabbit pin on his apron. The staff and the excellent quality food make it clear why Godmother's is such a popular destination for Italian in Cape May. I shall return without a second thought whenever I have the chance.

The service is excellent and food are both great! We had Will for a server and he was very knowledgeable about the food and very nice to talk to. Not only was the normal menu awesome but the specials were out of this world. 10/10 would recommend. Family owned too!

With an excellent menu and reasonable prices this is definitely our favorite restaurant that we discovered while on vacation in WEST Cape May!
Their Veal Marsalis was the best I have had in years......generous portions to all of the other dishes too! Kudos to the chef and the friendly staff! Even their butter is unique and the rolls hot !
Have a special request.....I bet they will honor it! I sure wish MY Godmother could whip up these great dishes!

Ricotta Gnocchi's are Amazing!!!! The food and service were excellent. The wait staff was very helpful and on top of every request. The chef and his wife were very nice and accommodating to kid requests. Yes, although the atmosphere is upscale, you can still bring kids under the age of 8...;)

Early bird special is perfect! Great food for a great price. Very classy but casual place. (Bring kids, but please keep them, and you, off your devices.) Friendly and attentive staff. Perfect for a family celebration or any festive occasion.

My extended family and I have been going to Godmothers for 25+ years. The food is impeccable. We’ve really missed them being gone this crazy COVID year and very much look forward to a reopening. I can taste the eggplant rollatini!!!!

First time at Godmother’s The chicken Marsala & chicken piccata were excellent. The shrimp scampi was delicious but the.angel hair was over cooked. Even with that the meal was great ! Will ask for aldente pasta next time . Would highly recommend!

The restaurant stayed open for our late arrival into West Cape May. The Veal Marsala was outstanding, the scallops the BEST we have had in Cape May! Add to that their delicious butter and yummy deserts ! We have eaten in almost every restaurant in Cape May and hands down we love it here! Thanks too for the friendly staff!

If you live in or come to visit Cape May, you obviously have good taste. Take your tastes and treat them at Godmother's - it is SO good. A great place for a nice family dinner off the main beach strip or a cute date night destination, it is impossible to have a less than stellar meal here.

We got the chilled tomato soup and lobster bisque (rich but so delicious) and argued about which was better. The Antipasto salad would have been enough for four, and the two of us barely made a dent. There was plenty of meat and cheese, veggies, and marinated olives. We split a spaghetti which was just enough after the soups and salad.

You can BYOB which is always a treat!

Great food! Been here three times and every time they have delivered. They accidentally put shrimp on my angel hair when I had ordered chicken one time, but they recovered very quickly and I was still very satisfied.

This is the best Italian restaurant in Cape May. Meals are freshly prepared, creatively presented, and the atmosphere is warm and friendly. From the hummus appetizer to the penne rigati entree to the cheesecake dessert, it is tops. Mangia and enjoy! Best ever.

Small restaurant with a cozy feel. Staff treats you as you are the only ones there even if the tables are full. The food was fresh, delicious and prepared wonderfully. Worth a many repeat visits.

This place really and truly has great service, really friendly people, and has great Italian food, you can really tell that everything is fresh. If you're going anytime soon I would reccomed the Cannoli and coffee for dessert,

Very accommodate of our visit with a toddler (had a napkin set up under his highchair, acted very welcoming and heppy to have us). Food is delicious
