Oggie's Kitchen & Bar

We stopped here for dinner before a show on a Friday night. Service was fast, drinks were great, but the food was amazing. I had the brick seared chicken and curried cauliflower. The chicken was very good, but the cauliflower was amazing. Wish there had been more of that. My husband got the browned butter gnocchi… oh my god. Life changing. It was one of the best things I’ve eaten in a while. I wish he had shared more :(

I cannot figure out why this place wasn’t PACKED with how good the food, service, and atmosphere was. We went on a Thursday at 5pm and were one of two tables in the restaurant.

I ordered the Brick Seared Chicken with potato & cauliflower curry & cilantro chutney. It was one of the best dishes I’ve ever eaten. I wish I lived here so I could visit more often!!!

We enjoyed our anniversary dinner here, we have had it in the past and everything has been delicious! I think Oggie’s is a great place for a simple, delicious meals. There are enough options to not feel overwhelmed and everything is chef created. We enjoyed some delicious burrata with some pesto and toast for an appetizer, and some steak for dinner. I thought the steak itself was great but a little over salted for my taste. The potatoes and asparagus were delicious though! We got two desserts, a cinnamon Bundt cake and lime tart, both very good!

Though it was Saturday night, it wasn’t too busy, seemed to be mostly hotel guests dining. The restaurant is nicely separated from the hotel lobby and a great place to get a good meal. Our waitress was so great and definitely made the experience enjoyable!

I've been going to hotel metro for years and the restaurant has changed hands a number of times. I think they finally got it right. Food was spectacular so were the drinks albeit a little pricey. Service was a little slow to get water refills and drinks. We got a number of appetizers to share. Really like how they updated hotel metro's reception area. The restaurant was updated as well although not as much. Make sure to check out the roof top bar as well called pufferfish.

We came here for a bit of brunch and cocktails. The brunch drink chicken and waffle old fashioned was so adorable and whimsical, and delicious! I also really enjoyed the sangria on tap! We also had the breakfast sammy and the peanut butter shake, everything was delicious and we didn’t leave a crumb behind. Really nice ambiance in this location as well, hope to come back next time we are in town!

Really nice place. Love the atmosphere and food. The service was above and beyond. Mandy was our server and she was spectacular. Breakfast brunch for 8 and we were able to reserve and walk in shortly after. Very fun.

Love their happy hour! Went for the Friday live Jazz however the jazz singer never showed up which was disappointing but the happy hour was great, cocktails are excellent and our server was superb, she provided excellent service. Will definitely go back in hopes of catching the live Jazz!

Had a good experience at Oggie's! I has their chicken dish so I can only attest to that dish.

Price wise: seemed a little expensive for the quality of food, but still reasonable.

Taste: fries were good, coleslaw was decent, and chicken was seasoned well but slightly rubbery.

Service: really great! Maddie was my server and was excellent.

Atmosphere: also super great. Some dope songs were playing the whole time. Furniture is modern and sleek.

Overall: would recommend trying out Oggie's!

Had a MKE burger and 1840 Hazy IPA, welcome to Milwaukee! The burger was smash burger style, pan fried cheese and pickles with extra sauce and seared in juices...yum! I upgraded to the fries, a definite must! Lots of great beverage choices, but 1840 is a Bayview local that is always great, I gave it a 4.25 on Untapped. Alieshia did a fine job of staying on top of things while I slacked on my phone.

We have worked with Oggie's multiple times for events and they never disappoint. Their bar staff is knowledgeable and kind, their drinks are outstanding, and the customer service is superb. Highly recommend!

I think this restaurant was quite nice. The food was great from the appetizer to the dessert the cocktail that I received was also or very good quality. We will be back.

We had a date night here. The cocktails & dessert were so great! The drinks tasted amazing along with how they were garnished adorably. Our service was great as well- fast & friendly. We even got a free dessert to try on the house! It was DELICIOUS. It’s a smaller space attached to the hotel and nothing spectacular ambience wise but nothing to complain about either. Was clean, neat, nice , smooth service, tasty drinks and dessert. Would recommend, we had a great night!

Recommend: bruschetta, sour patch cocktail, mr.espresso cocktail, dessert!

Sophie our server was outstanding. My daughter has serious food allergies & Sophie went above & beyond to ensure that she was safe. Kudos too to the chef who prepared her dinner. Thank you for your attention to detail!

This is the bar inside of the Hotel Metro. It has wonderful decor, and the bottles of wine are nicely priced. They serve food as well, but we’d just come from dinner so we weren’t hungry. I think next time I’ll have to try the oysters on a half shell with my wine. There are some pretty cool sofas and chairs to sit at, and the bartenders were nice and professional.

We came on a Thursday evening. Outstanding variety of entrees appetizers and salads. This is not your run-of-the-mill restaurant. The atmosphere as well as the artwork, the service and the food is artfully done.

Although I did not have any, the cocktails looked amazing! Geared more towards adults, children were welcomed for dinner.

We had the eggs and salmon Benedict. It was great. We'll be going there again.

When you walk in it looks like the place is empty. Vintage but empty. Keep walking. The hotel bar takes up the right side of the room and the food service is beyond. Service was prompt since it was a week-night. The place is big so don't expect a crowd on a week-night. The menu is limited but varied. I had octopus with a side salad. The presentation was nice. I'll return

Love the atmosphere. The food is unique and delicious! The breakfast potatoes are worth their weight in gold! The staff has always been very friendly and though I haven't seen many kids- I feel comfortable bringing the whole crew!

Food was delicious! I loved our server, Zoey was so kind and friendly. Went for our friends birthday and we’re treated so well. Will definitely be coming back!
