Food tasted fresh and healthy. We also liked the lavender dessert. Only drawback is that there is a 3% credit card surcharge. We paid with a debit card but there is still a 3% surcharge. I’d suggest just pay with a credit card and get some points back at least. Anyway their music and decoration suits my taste, so still a 5 star experience.

Intimate, vegan-friendly dining in Washington Street Mall. I ordered the Ginger Sesame Noodles and (egg-free) Farm Vegetable Cakes with slaw, brown rice, and spicy ketchup. Everything was light yet satisfying; a delicious, well-seasoned meal. I look forward to returning!

Charming atmosphere, cozy, bright and welcoming. The food was fresh, filling and fantastic. Especially recommend the Grilled Atlantic Salmon with Lemon BBQ Sauce (so delicious!) and literally any of their desserts. All so, so good.

Charming atmosphere and delicious, fresh, artfully served food. Swordfish was tender and juicy, and the beet salad with edible flowers had the perfect balance of flavors. We enjoyed the tasty, healthy meal made with fresh local ingredients (and a stop at Louisa’s chocolate shop afterwards).

Absolutely loved Louisa's. It was such a perfect small restaurant dining experience. Our waitress was incredibly friendly and attentive and made some great recommendations. The food was awesome as well. Make sure to save room for dessert, which was probably the highlight of the meal. I'd also recommend bringing a bottle of white wine, they will provide a chiller to keep it cold.

Amazing food, service, and ambiance! Crab cakes and fish were simply done to perfection. Do not skip out on dessert! Highly recommended!

We had a thoroughly enjoyable experience. The food and the service were excellent. Louisa’s Cafe is a hidden gem.💎 We’ve been meaning to try Louisa’s Cafe for years. We called midweek for a Saturday reservation and got seated right away. The entrees were delicious and the desserts were superior (save room 😋). Louisa’s Cafe is a BYOB and there’s a liquor store nearby with a pretty good selection. We’ll be back.

The most underrated restaurant in Cape May! We’ve been vacationing in Cape May for over 10 years, have tried all the staple restaurants and Louisa’s is our new favorite. We were so excited to get a last minute reservation since it is packed every night. The food is simple but delicious, they use fresh and local ingredients and everything was cooked perfectly. The waitstaff are pleasant, knowledgeable and welcoming. Make sure you save room for dessert because it is fantastic. I HIGHLY suggest the chocolate pie. Since the restaurant is small, you feel like you are dining at someone’s house vs. a stuffy, loud restaurant. Louisa’s is our new favorite spot and a must try in Cape May!

The food was really great and fresh. The fish was a really great and well cooked - we had the flounder and blue fish. The brown rice and the slaw were yummy. The salad app was a little small but delicious. We tried the chocolate pie and the cake of the day which were both very yummy. Would definitely go back.

Have visited this restaurant many times. We have never been disappointed with the food and service. After receiving my check at a very recent visit, I was surprised to see a 3% charge added for the use of my credit card. At no time was I made aware of this charge until after my card was charged. I understand that this is a new trend among some restaurants, but should have been told about that when I was called to confirm the reservation. I suggest just adding a dollar on each entree and forget about the credit card fees.

Super delicious locally sourced food. All menu items written on the black board. Friendly and helpful staff. Reservations recommended (it's a small space). Don't forget dessert - they own the chocolate shop next door and the desserts are wonderful.

This is a long-time favorite that I haven’t been to in a few years until last night. What a treat! I loved the fresh new decor (the tables!) and the farm-to-table seasonal menu. The staff was, as always, polite and sweet while providing exceptional service. The small glasses for wine reminded me of my travels through Europe where the wine matters more than the vessel. If you find yourself anywhere near Cape May, treat yourself to dinner here.

To be honest, we had to wait a little while to be seated at Louisa's Cafe (even though we had a reservation) but it's understandable once you have dined there - you won't want to leave! The food is soooo delicious! My only regret was not basing our Cape May trip around Louisa's Cafe's hours because we wanted to return the next day to try more dishes on their menu but, unfortunately they were closed.

A hidden gem in Cape May. Difficult to get into during the summer, so we always hit it on our December trip. Food is very fresh, all locally sourced. Seafood is fantastic. I had the scallops, and they were done perfectly, sitting on a bed of brown rice, with a ginger sauce on the side. Wait staff was very pleasant, and opened our BYOB wine almost as soon as we sat down. The bread pudding dessert is decadent. Really hoping to get a summer dinner there next July.

This is hands down the best restaurant in Cape May. It's all farm to table & locally sourced. The atmosphere & the staff are adorable. It reminds me of a tiny restaurant in Europe. It's BYOB & there happens to be a liquor store right next door. I always get the ginger peanut noodles to start, and the crab cakes as my main. Desserts are delicious as well.

The beet salad, tomato and watermelon salad, all delicious, especially the beet. Swordfish excellent, crabcakes outstanding, scallops particularly good. For dessert--don't skip it!--have the honeycrisp apple cake with fig chantilly cream. Big enough to share, though you might not want to!
Service is also good. Bustling but attentive.

Louisa's Cafe is a Cape May classic. The food is consistently good. The menu is on the chalk board. The scallops are amazing, none better in Cape May, but I've never had a bad meal here. It is a small place, and a little tight, but has a wonderful, cheerful atmosphere. Cash only and BYOB (thankfully! Love BYOB).

We have returned 15 years later to find some things change and others remain the same. The original owner has moved on and the new ones have picked up on the right stuff! We enjoyed the restaurant. It is small, cozy and delightful. The same easy going attitude remains. Black board menus with crossed off items that have run out. Fresh selections that change each day. Excellent flounder and really tasty blue-fin for us. I enjoyed the place years ago and was so glad to see it was still in business. I will return soon and enjoy another great meal!

This place blew me away. The best meal I had in the 5 days I was in Cape May. The scallops and crab cakes were exquisite. We ate at different places every night, and this place was just playing at a different Qualitative level. It's so quaint and charming, which usually bothers me, but it was real. It was genuine, and the food was top shelf.
A friend had suggested this place, from eating there 20 years ago. It was still there, and better than ever!!!!
It makes me want to go back sooner than the later
