Dar's Steaks

Found this place by complete accident when I was searching for somewhere that does VEGAN cheesesteaks. My favorite place was in Philly but they closed. The cheesesteak was very good! I wish they had a vegan whiz like the other place but beggars can't be choosers! I'm pretty sure the cheese they use is Violife which I use so no complaints here! Very happy I found this place. I also had the Italian donuts. Very yummy. Ate them all the next day lol! They definitely are addicting so if you're watching your weight I wouldn't order these hahaha but you only live once so enjoy! The young gentleman that rang us up was very nice as well.

Their seeded roll was heaven! I ordered ribeye with onions and whiz. The first half wasn’t as cheesy and had me leaning towards 4-stars... but then the second half was amazing! I’ll be ordering provolone or american as the cheese.

The staff was very nice and the prices were fair. I hope they do well here. It was great to see another family owned business open up in town. Wishing them success!

I got the beef Cheesesteak with Dar made Wiz, fried onions and portobello mushrooms. The sign out front said; World's Best Cheesesteaks. If you follow me you know that high expectations usually don't work out. I did like the recycled cardboard container. Saving the Earth while maintaining the Integrity of the roll. When I opened the container the cheesesteak looked a little small. When I picked a piece of meat off the cheesesteak it was very tender and flavorful. The seeded row looked very good but we had a major roll blowout. I don't know what's going on with the Whiz but it was way too runny for my liking. I wish it was thicker and stuck to the meat. The young girl running the front counter was amazing. I love some stuff about Dar’s. I dislike some stuff about Dar’s.

Wonderful little place with EXCELLENT service. The staff were all extremely polite and courteous and the establishment was clean. I had the chicken cheesesteak with provolone and onions, delicious. Ny husband had the steak cheesesteak and enjoyed it. We shared regular fries and whiz fries, so - damn - good. Will be going back to try their vegetarian and vegan options. This was my first time going to Dar’s. I ordered a cheesesteak with wiz and fried onion on a semolina roll. First impression, lots of meat and plenty of cheese and onions. Second impression, first bite was delicious. The meat was so tender and the roll was soft and soaked up the wiz and meat juices. I’ve been to many local cheesesteak places, such as Chicks Deli and Donkeys Place. Chicks and Donkeys are good in their own way but Dar’s was above and beyond much better. My daughters shared a cheesesteak with American cheese on a plain roll and they both housed them. If a 6 and 4 year old believe a cheesesteak is delicious I’m inclined to believe them. What a great restaurant in downtown Haddon Township. No need to go to Philly. They’re prices are on point as well.

Dar’s also has killer gyros. So much flavorful meat and homemade tzaziki sauce. Pictures is the Cali with chicken and the gyro.

Quaint little shop in Hadden. Cheese steak was the bomb!!! The SEEDED BREAD....SOLD!!!!!

Cheesesteak Hoagie, American cheese seeded roll, ketchup, hold the mayo. Old Bay fries w homemade whiz.

Great tasting steak cooked to perfection, on an amazing fresh roll. Love seeded roll. Fresh lettuce and tomatoes very juicy and delicious.

Fries were just the right amount of seasoning and fresh homemade whiz. Can’t get enough. Wish there were a few more.

Fast service too at late lunchtime.

This is a really good cheese steak. Good flavor. Fast service. Would highly recommended for anyone in the area to check out when they are craving that philly classic.

Finally sought this place out after seeing it on a couple of lists of best cheese steak places. Was not disappointed. Nice variety of cheese steak options too. Place is in an easy-to-miss storefront on often busy Haddon Ave, but worth the trouble of tracking it down. Now on my list of regular stops.

Their sign reads “worlds best cheesesteak” which is very advantageous of them so I was eager to try. Cheesesteak was amazing! I ordered one with sweet peppers fried onions and whiz. I will def be returning. Probably the best in the south Jersey area.

Their cheesesteak was amazing, Better than the Philly places. The steak is high quality, the roll is great but the biggest difference is their homemade wiz is so much better than the wiz everyone else uses.

I've been hearing how good Dar's is for a while now, so finally had the chance to try them out. Simply put... I'll definitely be back.

The cheese steak I got had their homemade whiz and fried onions, and you have the option for a plain or seeded roll. The sandwich is about 12", and it was a good amount of meat. The reviews were true, and this is an excellent sandwich. Also tried the pizza fries, with good tasting sauce and provolone cheese.

I also got to meet the owner and her father. They were incredibly kind, and you could tell they take a lot of pride in what they're doing. We had a great conversation about food.

Good food made by food people. I'll definitely give them my business again.

Best cheesesteak in South Jersey! The cheese sauce amazing.

Fantastic food! We ordered a cheese steak, buffalo chicken cheese steak, and fries easily on their online platform after 5pm on a Friday with an impressively quick pickup time. Regular and seeded rolls were great. Once we brought them home, the fries were still crispy! Can you honestly say that about any takeout fries you've had this whole pandemic? Can't wait to place this exact same order again.

BEST vegan cheesesteak!!! And my parents LOVE the regular cheesesteaks (they ask is to order every-time they visit)

But seriously…. I’ve been vegan for 13 years, I lived in Philly for 8 of them and tried every cheesesteak that had to offer. Dars is, by far the best!

Extra bonuses:
• The roll is always amazing! It’s not toasty, it’s soft and fresh (as it should be)
• The zeppole are to die for, like seriously I have to make myself not order them… which is hard
• The hot cherry peppers…. I don’t know who they get them from but I can’t find cherry peppers like this in the store anymore, they are crisp and spicy
• The fries… don’t even get me started on the fries. We ordered take out every time and the fries are awesome, which is hard to find with take out.

This place is a gem. Keep it up Dars <3

I am gluten free thanks to a Doctor's protocol and wondered if I would ever be able to eat a cheesesteak again...and then I saw that Dar's has a upcharge for a $3 GF roll...I thought $3 was a bit high, but my first bite, I realized why. This may be the BEST GF roll I have ever had. And I would be happy to pay that each time! As for the cheesesteak and provolone, it was delicious and melted perfectly. I am hooked!!!!!

Wanted a quick bite to eat midafternoon and did not want fast food. Went here on a whim and their cheese steak with provolone was delicious.

Dar’s Steaks definitely lived up to its Worlds Best Cheesesteak claim!! I can see this place being my new go too, especially if I’m able to get a cheesesteak the same way I did today every time! Swinging my feet and saying “Mmm…oh my god” after every bite pretty much says it all. Dar’s Steaks is absolutely hands down sooo delicious, don’t even get me started on the homemade cheese wiz. The ribeye was cooked perfectly and seasoned well, the roll was perfect…a nice crisp outside but so soft inside. The meat proportion was just right, at first glance I was thinking it looked a little skimp but after digging in I realized it was so good there wasn’t one thing to complain about. I will be recommending all of my family and friends to order there next cheese steak from here to give it a try and support the business!

Last couple cheesesteaks from long established places in town very disappointing. First time from Dar's and very pleased! Nice juicy cheesesteaks with plenty of meat. Good fries. Ready quickly. New go-to place.

As someone with the body shape of Shrek I'd like to think I know Cheesesteaks. This place is no exception. Amazing bread , amazing protein and key ingredients. Don't be silly and go to Philly.
