Buttonwood Boutique Hotel

My fiancé and I stayed there last weekend, and it was great. The location of the Buttonwood is great. You can walk to Washington st mall, and to the beach. And plenty of coffee shops and boutiques are walkable as well. And also, with it being on the corner, it’s easy to get in and out to drive places that you need too. The rooms were clean and they provided plenty of extra towels/sheets. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to stay in Cape May.

What a wonderful weekend! The Buttonwood is in the most perfect location, within walking distance to the many restaurants Cape May has to offer, mini golf, and Washington Street Mall. For someone who is bad with directions, it was easy to find my way back even after riding bikes for hours. The place itself is stunning and has a very welcoming vibe as soon as you walk in. We stayed in Suite 1 and the room was beautiful. The TV was huge! They offer fresh raw juices every morning along with fruit and yogurt parfaits. They also had alcoholics refreshments in the common area as well as a cute picture wall with a disposable camera and thumbtacks to hang your own personal snapshot. We will most definitely be back!

What a wonderful stay! We usually stay at congress hall, but we were told of the buttonwood from friends and it was the perfect cape may weekend getaway spot.

We booked a room for two nights, but we loved it so much we stayed a third night.
The house is beautiful, clean and comfortable. The owners are very friendly and helpful. The location is perfect, it’s close to West End Garage, restaurants and Washington Street. We will definitely be back next year.

I was planning a last minute trip to Cape May and considered a few different bread and breakfast/boutique options, and I am so happy we went with Buttonwood Boutique Hotel! It was absolutely PERFECT! The rooms were so cute, clean, and updated from renovations. The location is also perfect as it is within walking distance to everything - With great breakfast, coffee shops, bike rentals, and a CVS on the same road. So happy we decided to go to this boutique and we will return every year!

Also, the owners were very responsive and great at communicating. Would highly, highly recommend booking here for your Cape May trip - You will not be disappointed!

We had a wonderful experience, the place is beautiful, and it was impeccable. The attention to detail is first class and we couldn't recommend it more.

There is a cute coffee bar and a small fridge with awesome juices. The kitchen was fully stocked with serving pieces so we were able to put together a little cheese plate and have some wine in the living room, it was wonderful. Highly recommend staying and we'll be back!

This place is absolutely adorable. We stayed for a girls weekend. Each room has its own signature scent. The rooms were clean and perfectly decorated. There was a raw juice / coffee bar in the sun room. We were greeted in our room with a small bottle of Prosecco. The attention to detail is incredible. I cannot say enough great things about this space. Thank you so much!

We love the Buttonwood, it is in a great location, within walking distance to all of the action yet it is in a quiet, beautiful area. Each of our rooms were wonderfully appointed with a full bath and bar/refrigerator. Each of the rooms were also very tastefully decorated and were bright, airy, and clean. They had live music on Saturday with delicious appetizers which was unexpected but a delight before heading to dinner. We can't wait to return!

The Buttonwood was absolutely perfect. I’m so happy we stayed here and we’re definitely coming back next year. The room was wonderful, the bed was soooo comfortable, and the coffees, juices and parfaits are A++++ they had great recommendations and they were so accommodating. Stay here for a GREAT time.

The newly renovated Buttonwood Manor takes class, design and accommodation to another level! Lauren and Ross are wonderful hosts with impeccable attention to detail that truly understand the importance of the customer experience. Not only were we greeted with a complimentary bottle of Prosecco upon arrival, but beach tags, beach chairs, and parking are all included! The entire B&B was spotless from top to bottom and even had an ice machine to fill up our cooler for the beach! Fantastic location with a beautiful garden/ patio area that has live music on Saturdays! My best friend and I have traveled all over the world and know good style and taste. The Buttonwood Manor hit the nail on the head with tasteful, personal touches that really made our trip memorable. Only a five minute drive to Sunset Beach to watch the most beautiful sunsets. Close to restaurants and shopping and golf cart service to anywhere in Cape May! We will definitely be staying at the Buttonwood again and look forward to checking out their other nine locations! Thank you Lauren and Ross for helping make our best friend getaway a trip to remember!

First time visiting Cape May and I have to say the Buttonwood Boutique exceeded my expectations!! I was a bit apprehensive booking Valentine's weekend in February but weather and location worked perfectly. Lauren and Ross provide excellent instructions for parking and access and were very prompt responding to text messages when needed. The hotel had a cozy yet modern vibe, stocked fridge, coffee area, and very clean throughout. Very nice touch with Prosecco in the room and access to fresh squeezed orange juice on the porch. Loved the decor, built-ins in the living room, arched doorways leading to the porch as well as the many paintings throughout. Wished we had longer to stay and enjoy and will plan on making a return trip very soon.

The property was so beautiful, comfortable, and in a great location. Within walking distance to the town of Cape May, to the beach, and to lots of restaurants in West Cape May. we stayed in December so didn’t go to the beach for longer than a quick walk, but Buttonwood provides beach chairs and beach towels for you to use. we stayed during the Holiday Parade and Buttonwood set up tables, chairs, fire pits, hot cider, and sandwiches for its guests. It was the perfect viewing location!! They have a coffee maker, juicer for the oranges they provide, and raw juices in the fridge. The bed was very comfortable, bathroom beautiful, and the TV has streaming services on it for you to use. We absolutely loved our stay and hope to come back next December!

We have been coming to Cape May forever. Congress Hall, The Virginia, The Star, they are all legendary places to stay. But the Buttonwood was a real pleasant surprise. Located a very short distance from beaten path it has the look, decor and charm of Victorian Cape May, with a quiet, almost private, getaway feel. Suite 5 beautifully appointed also had the largest flatscreen TV. We will return

The Buttonwood renovation is absolutely superb! Ross and Lauren are amazing hosts and thought of everything. The hotel and rooms are immaculate and beautifully designed. We loved the nespresso machine for our morning coffee and the amazing fresh OJ and raw juices. Linens and towels were amazing! The piano player Saturday night was fantastic along with the catered, delicious appetizers. The beach chairs that were provided, along with the towels, were terrific quality. The outside space and furniture is so inviting and comfortable. They even have bug spray and wine openers for your convenience. My husband and I have traveled a lot, and this is our new favorite spot! Can’t wait to come back! Lauren and Ross are an amazing team and can’t wait to see what they accomplish in the future!

Everything was perfect at Buttonwood! It is clean, inviting, and cozy with plenty of places to relax and sip the delicious coffee, tea, or juice that is provided. The sun room is particularly pretty :) The owners were available by text to answer questions and responded right away. They also went above an beyond to return an item to me that I had left behind. We can't wait to book our next trip back <3

Such a beautiful hotel - loved the fixtures and linens, comfy bed, great location, lots of extras (beach chairs, towels, juicer). The price off season was a bit steep, but we wanted that charming old house feel, and certainly got it!! Easy checkin, parking, and close to restaurants. Great stay overall!

Ross and Lauren Are The New Owners/operators of this beautiful boutique bed and breakfast in a fantastic location just minutes from the beach! They have done so many lovely updates and the rooms couldn't be better designed while still keeping the old charm of this 1920s built house. We were greeted with a bottle of prosecco and complimentary coffee/espresso in the morning. Would highly recommend!

I stayed at the Buttonwood hotel with my boyfriend and let me tell you what an amazing experience we had. First off the little touches were on point from the champagne in the room to the raw juices and tea provided downstairs. The room was so clean which is huge for me. I will definitely be staying here again. Thank you for the great experience!

Very private and cozy boutique hotel! The decor and room was so inviting and relaxing. The sun room is perfect for a morning coffee before heading off to enjoy Cape May. Location is perfect getting anywhere.

The cutest boutique hotel! So sweet, cozy and beautifully decorated. Makes you feel right at home! So many thoughtful details for such a relaxing stay. Walkable to the beach and center of town with all the best restaurants and shops. I could not recommend this place enough!! We will definitely be back! :)
