Grand Hotel of Cape May

My January stay at the Grand Hotel of Cape May was beyond exceptional. From the friendly welcome by the front desk to the meticulous attention from housekeeping, every staff member made sure my visit was enjoyable. The freshly remodeled room, complete with a couch and table, was at a great value for the area.

The hotel has both indoor and outdoor pools and has event rooms that are spectacular—ideal for anyone considering a wedding venue in Cape May. Situated right on the beach, the hotel offers direct ocean access and stunning views that energize the soul, even in winter.

Dinner and drinks at Hemingway's was a highlight, with a lively atmosphere, great menu, and top-notch bartenders. As a frequent traveler, I can confidently say this was one of my most enjoyable stays. The Grand Hotel isn't just a place to sleep; it's a Cape May vacation retreat with fantastic facilities, including one of the best dining experiences in town.

Jamie was our server at Hemingway’s and he was so personable and fun! I love a server that can hold a conversation, laugh and do their job without missing a beat! He was a pleasure and made a perfect Shirley Temple!

Scallops and Polenta were so tasty! The steak was good and my 9 year old raved about how good the veggies were! I’ll take it.

There is no better place to be on a chilly, February evening than a place with great food, friendly staff and an amazing indoor pool and hot tub area! The space is amazing and so spacious! Grab the kids goggles, kick your feet up and relax on the comfy pool furniture!! Oh, and if you’re not swimming make sure you have on a tank top in there!

We will definitely be back and look forward to another stay!

Excellent hotel right by the beach. We were here in the winter for USCG graduation, but I could definitely come back and stay for the weekend or longer. Clean rooms with great service.
& they go out of their way to take care of their military families.

We had the pleasure of capturing a wedding at The Grand Hotel Cape May and it was really amazing! The rooms for prep were very nice, the beautiful beach and views... ahh just beautiful! Cannot wait to come back and shoot another wedding!

The facility, staff, and restaurant could not have been better. My wife enjoyed the indoor pool, and we frequented the restaurant and bar—excellent food and friendly service. This is now our go to place in Cape May!

Spent many vacation days at the Grand. Great location near the beach , indoor and outdoor pool. Package specials are a great value. They are always upgrading the property. Nice place for off season get a ways. Christmas is a beautiful time in Cape May.

Photographed a wedding here yesterday. The rooms are so nice! The staff running the wedding was absolutely amazing. The main coordinator, I wish I could remember her name, was on top of everything and did it all with a smile and kindness! The penthouse ballroom is gorgeous and was a great place to have a party!

A great spot to stay. Close to where you want to be, remodeled rooms with comfy beds and great service. The heated pool is great as well ( the hot tub jets didn’t work though ).

I have been going to the Grand for winter get aways for many years and have had some ups and downs with experiences during my stays, but most recently I had an issue after booking the Thanksgiving weekend package.

I spoke with a desk agent after having to cancel my reservation due to taking care of an elderly parent for the holidays, but it fell on deaf ears. The desk agent was unable to help me resolve the issue with my cancellation and the 25% charge that goes along with cancellation outside of the 14 days of arrival.

I called back today and spoke with the same individual, so I asked to speak to a manager and I was transferred to Margie. Margie helped to remedy the situation to which I am greatly appreciative of her professional acumen. She recognized that I have been a long and loyal customer at the Grand and she was able to help us and took the initiative to help us after voicing my displeasure with the cancellation policy for our recently made reservation.

I am truly thankful to Margie for going above and beyond to take action and remedy the situation associated with our cancellation due to family reasons during the holidays. I really appreciate the lengths that she went to reach out and extend the level of customer service, which is what I expected from an establishment like The Grand Hotel Cape May.

Margie, you are an exception to the rule on how businesses should treat their loyal customers and I am truly grateful for your professional, exceptional, and true customer care for your guests. After our personal circumstance that led to us cancelling our reservation, we will continue to come back to the Grand after receiving such caring and understanding during the customer service process that you afforded us.

You should be commended for going above and and beyond to make sure that your loyal customers are always taken care of and we sincerely appreciate how you handled our situation and remedied our situation with such courtesy and professionalism!

We will continue to be loyal customers due to this level of customer service that Margie afforded us by going above and beyond to meet the needs of us as customers to which I will never forget!

2nd time staying here. Better for us to stay off season not as high priced. I really love the indoor pool. That’s a big bonus for me. Wish they had room service though. That would really top everything

We are staying in the Cape May area and stopped by the Grand Hotel to enquire about a potential booking for Christmas time and to see what rooms and amenities would be available. We spoke with Jenny who was amazing! She was very friendly and patient and let us view a few of room types so we could find the right one that suited our family at a great price. We are looking forward to our “Holiday splash” visit!

Had a wonderful Mini Vaca, with old Friends staying @The Grand of Cape May! Our rooms overlooked the pool, with Ocean view from outside our door. It's located right on Beach Ave, so just cross the street & you'll find yourself enjoying the Ocean Breeze & hear the Seagulls call! 2 chaise lounges are included with your stay, so you won't need to bring your beach chairs! Friendly, young ladies check you in & Welcome you to The Grand. Rooms were lovely & even had a bay window to enjoy the sunshine... Indoor & outdoor pools, too! Stayed for 3 nites, but, would recommend more! Will return to Cape May with all it has to offer, soon! 🙋🥳💕

Staff were wonderful. Rooms were cleans and had plenty of pillows, blankets and towels without even asking. I will be going back.

I highly recommend staying here! Great location, very nice, clean, pool with bar, free beach chairs at the beach when you show your hotel bracelet. The rooms are easy to get to and parking on premises. We will definitely stay there again!

Beautiful hotel with a lot of different aspects to it. What was good towels were good all around? Great service you always saw someone doing something and singing up. It was nice to say I didn't get to use the 2 complimentary chairs that they give you on the beach. But it was a nice set up and the boys out. There were excellent and giving me information for the future.

This is a lovely hotel. It is contemporary, clean, and attractive. The rooms are very comfortable and spacious. When there were a few small issues in the room, the staff was courteous and resolved them quickly.
The restaurant food and service is very good.

This hotel provided a very great experience! This is our second time at cape may and first time at this hotel. My concern is always cleanliness and they did great, probably one of the cleanest hotels I’ve stayed at. The staff also went above and beyond and were super helpful in making sure we had everything we needed. The restaurant also had really good food. The only thing that might be a complaint is that the bottom floor near the indoor pool does smell strongly of chlorine but it is a pool and that just reassures that it is kept clean. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to be right near the beach.

Just worked a wedding here again last night. The setting across the street from the beach along with the spacious banquet areas and ballroom room kthis venue offers are amazing.

A little late writing this review but wanted to make sure to recognize the Grand Hotel and Staff for helping make our visit to Cape May an exceptional experience. In mid December, I made a last minute booking on a well known app and unfortunately, made a significant error during the process. When my wife and I arrived at the hotel, we were quite surprised to find out we actually missed our reservation which was mistakenly made for the previous night. Fortunately, Jessica at the front desk was very kind and sympathetic to our situation and went immediately into problem solving mode with one of the managers. They could have easily told us "tough luck" but instead, worked to find us a different room. While it wasn't the same price and deal we had found on the travel app, it actually in many ways turned out to be an even better value, overall. The room location, size and amenities far exceeded our expectations and we had an absolutely wonderful visit. This was our second visit to the Grand Hotel and each experience was memorable. If you're looking for a hotel with great staff and accommodations, look no further. This is an easy choice and we'll be back! Being on the ocean was also a plus and sunrise was spectacular. It is also and easy walk to many great restaurants and the mall. Highly recommend.
