A good church led by pastors who lead their flock by the Word of God. I heard the gospel here three years ago and became a “new creation” like Jesus talks about in John 3:3-10 back in early March 2020 upon surrendering my life to Jesus. I recommend getting involved with the Sunday school classes. They are a great way to get connected in the Church. I picked my class at random with my now mother-in-law (who has showed me true Christianity by her walk with the Lord…so I knew I could trust her) when she invited me to this church. The relationships I’ve formed their and the wisdom I’ve gained have been invaluable. I’ve learned so much and have made relationships with some true Christians. This is a great church family to be a part of on the continual walk of sanctification every born again believer must walk out with God.

If you’re curious about God and church but not ready to commit to one, I recommend watching The American Gospel: Christ Alone. It’s enthralling and really gets you thinking about what is being taught in many churches in America. If you’ve been burned by a church or church people in the past, you’re not alone and this may answer your questions about “why?” You can buy or rent it on YouTube and Amazon prime.

Of course, the absence of good, Biblical doctrine alone isn’t the only reason some of us have been hurt by churches and church people. The Church needs to be open to grow in maturity (Christlikeness) and they need to disciple others as the Lord leads. The Church is supposed to take care of each other and that love (flowing from God) is supposed to reach out into the community. There are definitely some mature Christians at this church who do this. And others of us are learning to do this by the grace of God 😅🙏. I heard it said once by one of the most mature Christians I know that more than anything we say or do, it is our view of God that draws people to Jesus. That really hit me because I had been unconsciously viewing God as someone who would be mad at me for my failures instead of as The God of All Comfort. This has been a real game changer for me and something I often need to remind myself of. We are loved by God when He shows us the wickedness of our sin (Hebrews 12:6 “For the Lord disciplines the one he loves, and chastises every son whom he receives.”) because that’s when we realize our need for a savior- Jesus. Without knowing we have the disease (sin), why would we ever ask for the cure (Jesus)? So many churches stay silent on sin and preaching of salvation and what it means to be born-again and I know that is to the disservice of their attendees/members. l went to those kind of churches much of my life and I look back in sadness and disbelief. All that to say, I pray that God would renew a conviction in pastors to preach the unadulterated Word of God instead of the watered-down American gospel. Only the Biblical gospel saves and brings about a “new heart” (“A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.” Ezekiel‬ ‭36‬:‭26‬-‭27‬). Jesus says one must be born-again to enter the kingdom of heaven (“Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”John‬ ‭3‬:‭3‬-‭5‬). I don’t even remember hearing this preached in churches before this one, so I certainly didn’t understand what it meant until I surrendered my life to Jesus three years ago. It’s beautiful how God has worked in my life since then and I’m so grateful that God has been with me every step of the way. I’m also grateful for this Church that He has placed me here because I’ve learned more Biblical sound teaching here than I have at any other church and it has been a great community of believers to walk beside in my journey with Christ.

This is a bible based church. The pastor , Stuart Bell, preaches verse by verse through the Bible. Church members are very caring and welcome new members as well as guests. There are a lot of Sunday School programs for adults and children of all ages. There are some good youth programs, and is an excellent 12-year accredited school on the grounds, Lifeway Christian School.
Sunday School Classes start at 8:45 am.
Church worship service: at 10:00 am.
