Lucky Star Chinese Restaurant

The food was pretty good. We were there in off-peak hours, so it wasn't too busy. The service was very good. Several different people stopped by the table to check on us and top off our drinks. I had a shrimp meal and my wife had a combination plate. They were both good and large servings. We definitely had extra to take home for another meal. We will probably be back.

Love the atmosphere here and how peaceful it is. We always get great friendly service and the food was so yummy! They get your food out quickly as well and the portions are pretty huge. Good selection for the combo meals. 👌

Such a perfect place! Ambiance, Owner, Staff, Flavors, Portions, Prices, all combine into the most perfect of experiences!! I have reviewed here before & no matter how many times I come here, the quality of the entire dining experience, NEVER changes! I just wish they would open a location closer to home! That literally is my only complaint. I have to drive so far from home, just to have such a pleasant, tasty, huge meal & super nice, smiling, thoughtful, folks to wait on me. Oh & the Tea is hot & tasty too! I had the make my own, 4 item combination platter & my dining partner, had the 6 items combination platter. We left so very full & happy with lots of leftovers. Stacey & the owner Sarah were both extremely gracious to all of us folks in the whole place. This is definitely, one of my favorite, happy places.

The food was absolutely amazing! Lunch is around $12-16. They serve a lot of food and the dishes can easily be shared. They offer a daily special. It's beautifully decorated, clean, and the staff is friendly.

Seems they might have a new cook. Some of the recipes have changed. The best deal is the daily 6 item special. You can easily feed 2, and it's a very nice combo. You do, however, have to like pork.

Everything about this Oriental eatery is fantastic from meet & greet to the food itself, hence the 5 Stars!!! I've been a food reviewer for many yrs.and can count on me hand how many I've given a perfect score!! Great job Lucky Star!!

I tried lucky star for the first time when I first moved to the area about 8 months ago.

It is my husband's and myselfs favorite restaurant in the area. We regularly come when we can.

The prices and portions are awesome and we always have take home left.

Not only is the food always hot, fresh and fast, but the service here is incredible! The servers are personable, recognize us, and always go above and beyond.

What a true delight!

We visited on July 4th. There were only a few restaurants open today- this place, The Pancake House, The Boat Fish and chips, The Sweet Treats place by the Visitor Center and a very few others that closed early and reopened. All the restaurants today were packed. We had a great lunch here. Like many places, this place is hiring. There were two servers that handled the full house well. The restaurant decor is neat and they have a nice fish tank the kids loved. They offer a great amount of lunch special options at great prices, as well as a full dinner menu. We ordered Happy Family Special, Shrimp and Vegetable special, an appetizer sampler platter. Lunch specials come with two stuffed wontons, choice of rice or upgrade to pan fried noodles, and soup- hot and sour or egg flour soup. We had plenty of food for our family of four. Meal comes with hot tea which is always a great accompaniment.

I had the special and it was a lot more than I could eat. Food was very tasty especially the hot and sour soup. Decor was authentic and the service outstanding.

AMAZING food. Cooked fresh, not reheated! So much flavor! I highly recommend! Egg rolls are fresh and flaky - not soggy and greasy! Worth the drive from Roseburg !

The staff working was awesome. And the food was colorful and good. We will be going back when we visit Coos Bay.

The best sweet and sour chicken around. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. My son got a cheeseburger and fries which were actually really good as well. Can't wait to go back.

10/2/21 Went back for dinner. Ordered a lot less...Haha. This platter filled 2 people. Was the house special. Fried shrimp, roasted pork, pork fried rice, sweet and sour chicken, some veggies and noodles, and a veggie eggroll. We also ordered the pork potstickers. Amazing food again. I love this place.

Lots of food and it was all delicious! The wonton soup was the best I ever had! Very Polite and quick service. Good prices too!

Fantastic Chinese food and great atmosphere! Prices were very fair and wait was very short on a Friday night. The establishment is very accessible between North bend and coos Bay Oregon. Right on the bay and our waitress did a great job. Restrooms were clean and so was the restaurant. They also have a lounge and video poker if that's what you're up for

Great place to enjoy an amazing meal. Staff is always amazing and food is always on point!

If you need some Chinese fix come to the Lucky Star. Prices were reasonable and good size portions in a classic Chinese atmosphere.
