Sichuan City Chinese Restaurant

Delicious! I was hungry for Sichuan food and this restaurant was more than able to satisfy my cravings. I appreciate the knife work and presentations on all the dishes. Customer service was warm and friendly. I will try their signature dish next time!

Haven't had Sichuan food for a while, the last time was when I was in Beijing & Shanghai.
My wife and I decided to try out Sichuan City and it did not disappoint, having amazing spicy and numbing chilies is fantastic, it actually makes you eat more, couldn't stop.

The Chongqing Hot Chicken is a MUST order ;-)

I can't emphasize this enough, the food here is amazing! This is a great place to go with friends so you can eat family style. We ordered the spicy crispy fish, mapo tofu, green beans, and fried rice. Everything was delicious. Staff were very attentive and friendly. Worth the drive to Happy valley!

I finally had a chance to try this place out and was glad that I did. They have some really authentic items that you can not find in your typical Chinese restaurant. We ordered a few items to share, and everything we ordered was tasty. We ordered the jade tofu (with chicken), dry stir fried pork intestine, and garlic Spareribs. The Jade Tofu dish was this really great tasting tofu dish that was crispy on the outside but soft and silky on the inside. The service was pretty quick as we came at the right time. I divisor will come back to try some of the other dishes, just need to bring more people next time.

A great place to get delicious authentic Chinese food. The Shredded Pork In Being Bean Sauce is definitely our favorite (we usually end up ordering two).

Absolutely loved everything I ordered here, especially the Chongqing Style Hot Chicken. There are so many dishes to explore here from standards to the uniquely adventurous. I can't wait to try them all.
Seating is a bit of a tough spot as there are often more customers than tables, but I'll happily do take-out from here any time.

We took a chance on a new Chinese restaurant, stepping out of our usual picks, and what a delightful surprise it turned out to be! It exceeded every expectation. Our visit on Christmas evening found them quite busy, yet they delivered outstanding service and the food was even more impressive. Our order included Chongqing spicy chicken, fried rice, garlic spareribs, and Sichuan dumplings - each dish was absolutely perfect. Eagerly looking forward to our next visit!

We were on a day trip to Portland and this Sichuan food restaurant was said to be the "best", so we drove another 20 minutes to try it.

The taste was really excellent. First of all, the amount of food We're large, the speed of serving was very fast, and the food was very hot. This kind of feeling is very good.

Again, the ingredients were very fresh, really fresh, we ordered fish, sesame chicken, spicy chicken, all of which were cooked perfectly, the meats were marinated well, balanced well, the taste was clear but with nice strong spicy flavor, it's very worth trying , everyone there was very kind and friendly, 🥰👍!

A unique Chinese cuisine restaurant with fresh, delicious food and a clean and hospitable dining room. The food is not your typical American-Chinese food, it is prepared fresh and has little to no batter, just the right amount of sauce, and explosive flavors!

A majority of the food is medium to very spicy, so if you like heat this place is for you. However, the staff is good about warning you about the heat, recommending dishes for all tastes, and explaining the dishes to first time patrons.

One of the best places around, this little gem of a restaurant has become one of our favorites!

Hidden gem. Ordered last night from Door Dash because of all the good reviews on the app. Everything was soooooo good. My fav was the shrimp chow mein and my dad and brother had beef fried rice and honey walnut shrimp. Definitely found our new spot!

Wonderful authentic Sichuan restaurant with great staff.

There is a pretty big menu with lots of selection and the Sichuan chef here does a great job with giving you the same great spicy flavor mix you would actually find in Sichuan. You get a flavorful spicy taste, not just spicy like some places. The staff are very nice and worked really hard to keep up with taking care of everyone during the busy lunch time we visited at. there are a variety of table sizes, even some large round tables for many people, and the staff keeps the table and restaurant quite clean. I recommend this restaurant for anyone in looking for some great food (they have not spicy food too!) you will not be disappointed!

I believe the food is preference based and not so much that it is cooked terribly. I love the Kung Pao Chicken it is absolutely phenomenal with the right amount of spice to it and hints of ginger. The lemon pepper chicken wasn’t preferred because it’s dry but that is the way it is made some customers may love that dish. 5 star review.

This place is amazing, some of the best Sichuan food in Portland! The dry cooked string beans were the best I've ever had, and I usually order them when going out. The portions are generous too.

Great place to indulge my craving for Szechuan. The fish was light and crispy, everything had great flavor, and the food came out fairly quickly. Will definitely come back.

Superb! Exceeded all of my expectations. I ordered the pig intestine hotpot and the intestine was crispy, chewy, fatty, the peppercorns were crunchy and numbing, the potatoes were soft and silky. I can't wait to eat there again!

My partner and I love this place when we crave having authentic Sichuan food. The spices and peppers that they use offer the classic mouth-numbing sensation while also being extremely flavorful. It’s not an overwhelming spice at all! During the two visits we’ve been here, we’ve ordered their crispy fish, crispy chicken, crispy pork intestines, mapo tofu, fried rice, and maybe another dish or two. All. So. Freaking. Good. If you don’t know what to order, PLEASE get the crispy chicken and crispy fish (pictured below). They both are juicy, flavorful, very crispy—you honestly can’t go wrong with these. We’ll be back 🫡😌

Tried a new place. We had the pepper beef and chicken lo mein. Pepper beef was tender and perfectly well seasoned. Lo mein had great flavor. Both dishes had nice portions. Quality place.

Their lunch special are so good. Black pepper beef lunch was great. From regular menu the spicy chicken and the veggie delights were wonderful.
