The Joyful Living Yoga Center

I joined the Joyful Living Yoga Center in March of 2021. I had not been to a yoga class in a few years, and even so, I felt I was a novice at best. Any nervous energy or hesitation I had simply floated away once I entered the studio. Each instructor goes out of their way to introduce themselves to you and make you feel comfortable. The other members are like family- everyone is warm and welcoming. The space is simply beautiful; you can tell that Nicky has put a lot of effort into making the studio a comforting and safe space for all. One of the things I love the most is their acceptance of all ability levels. As a plus size woman, it's so refreshing to hear instructors make suggestions to accommodate larger bodies and promote inclusivity. I found this studio at a time in my life where I needed community, connection, and a way to move my body in a way that was nourishing and positive and the Joyful Living Yoga Center has given me so much more than that. nicky is very welcoming, genuine, knowledgeable, and caring. these classes feel authentic, unlike other studios that misinterpret yoga and mix it with pilates etc., joyful living focuses on mindfulness and intention of your movement and mediation.

My husband and I are relatively new to yoga and tried other yoga studios in the area but felt that they were not a good fit for us. We decided to try Joyful Living Yoga. We truly love Nicky and this studio so much. We feel at peace and at home. The other instructors are also wonderful! I highly recommend this studio to anyone who wants to learn yoga or who is advanced at yoga.

Literally was the greatest little find we could’ve asked for! My friend and I were looking for a relaxing way to start the day and this was the PERFECT ONE! Neither of us have done yoga for many years and Nicky was ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE! She explained all the techniques and yoga positions and gave a few alternatives when we couldn’t quite master things! She was so attentive to each person in class and truly made the experience an amazing one! The studio provided mats, blankets, blocks, pillows, literally everything needed to help us so all the exercises to the best of our ability! We are so grateful for Nicky and her amazing space! Highly recommend checking out a class!!

Nicky and her dedicated staff of teachers have taught me that everything I ever needed to change can be found within. This is a special place where you will get the attention that you need. Joining this studio is the perfect step forward for the beginner to evolve or the
most advanced and experienced yoga practitioner to begin again with a beginner’s mind. Each time I attend a class I feel like I am entering my sanctuary. It has a very loving and warm atmosphere and everyone is welcome. The teachers and students have become friends. I encourage all to attend for health, well being and friendship.

This is such a wonderful, welcoming studio. Nikki, the owner, is so sweet and attentive to the needs of her community. I truly can’t recommend Maura’s incredible classes highly enough. I always feel like a new person after practicing with her. So grateful for this very special studio.

Had a wonderful experience with the Joyful Living Yoga Center. I was only here for a short time for a family beach vacation but took 8 classes in four days. I very much enjoyed each class. The owner, Nicky, was so kind and welcoming. I look forward to next summer's beach trip for the chance to practice here again.

I stopped in just to take a look at the studio and inquire about the classes. I was greeted by the owner with a warm smile and a hug. Little did they know how badly I needed such a warm and friendly stranger to show me kindness and acceptance. I was invited into a class that was just starting. It was called gentle stress relief and was instructed by Suzy. I suffer from fairly severe anxiety and this class was so amazing, it reduced every ounce of my anxiety and by the time I left I don't think I had a single knot left in my body. After the class Suzy asked me how I felt about my experience. And I told her the honest truth. It was amazing, and please sign me up for everything! I decided to start with one week of unlimited classes so that I could determine what my schedule will allow me to do. But I fully intend to sign up for monthly unlimited classes. When I left I called everyone I knew including my boss and told them all how great I felt and invited them all to try a class with me, on my dime. Can't wait to go to a new class tonight!!

Such a warm and inviting studio. Nikki is so welcoming and loving. As soon as you walk through the door, you can feel the fairy like energy!! You can't help but get wrapped up in it!!! . LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Joyful Living Yoga and all the tribe that gathers there.

What an awesome experience here from the moment you enter the door...You'll never feel as loved or nurtured in a yoga space then you will here, truly..You'll be greeted by hugs not too soon after you step into it's colorful and lively main room with a large choice of seating - just an enjoyable and accommodating space to chill. The yoga classes vary greatly; there's really a class for every level of yogi. The actual yoga studio is MASSIVE and BEAUTIFUL.There are a plethora of relaxing/renewing classes (yin, restorative), beginner yoga flows, hip openers, dharma flows. The dharma teachers here are my absolute favorite, I love how fun and playful those classes are! I feel safe and happy from the moment I walk into this place and it's such a pleasure to explore all of it's friendly teachers and classes! Can't wait to go back. :]

I've been practicing here from the day Joyful Living opened its amazing doors. The owner is an angel and she is a gifted teacher - she has a wonderful roster of classes and teachers and the students are so friendly and warm. There's something for everyone here in this beautiful haven on Arnold Ave.

Great for a DIY Covid staycation/build your own yoga retreat with the intro offer for a week of unlimited classes. Enjoyed a variety of sessions from vinyasa to tai chi. Lovely studio, very welcoming staff. BYO mat and props.

So much more than just yoga. Nikki greats everyone as if she's known you forever. She makes you feel welcome as soon as you walk in. Her classes are unique, fun and fab!
