Wow!

The food is in direct contrast with the atmosphere.

It feels like walking into a storeroom with bags of rice stacked halfway to the ceiling and boxes of today's noodles.

The service was fast and the lady was very sweet.

The food, though, is the star. HUGE portions and soooo good. The char was on point, the meats were so tender and cooked perfectly. The noodz were killer.
I got the house special chow fun so I got to try the chicken, pork, and shrimp. Can't recommended this place enough for take-out.

The beef and house special rice noodles are the go to deals for a great family meal. Call ahead and order for take out. There is no dine in option here but you could always chow down in the car. You can buy fresh rice noodles by the pound in flat sheet or cut too.

easily one of my favorite takeout spots in portland. the food is incredible (we got the house chow fun) with huge portions.

I called in thanksgiving to see when they closed, and the owner offered to stay late to cook for us (I didn’t ask to come late). 10/10 place, I highly recommend.

Amazing fresh tofu & soymilk!

Their veggie tofu chow fun was also fantastic. $19 seemed a bit steep until I realized how massive the portions were; it was enough for about 5 meals.

The storefront and lobby could use some sprucing up but the folks running this place were very friendly and pleasant.

Love this place for their fresh rice noodles. They also can cut it up for you if requested. I’ve had a couple friends mention they’ve ordered the entrees and had good reviews as well! Funny thing is that however many lbs you order, they always add a couple lbs extra. Doesn’t hurt to have more and to support a small business though.

Big tip: always call to order ahead of time

From the outside of this shop you might be surprised. The food however is amazing. One of the best chow fun I’ve tried and it’s like 2 portion sized worth! I would definitely come back. Only complaint is that it’s a tiny bit too salty but that’s okay. Beef was good, love the portion size for meat and noodles. The food was done fast and hot/fresh!

Totally inconspicuous hole in the wall gem that serves noodles which delicious and authentic. Soy milk is fresh and instantly brought me back to when I visited Taiwan. Owners are incredibly nice and familial. Please support this awesome mom and pop place, they deserve it!

Got takeout from this wholesale shop. Some of the most authentic and delicious Hong Kong style dry stir-fry rice noodle with beef I have had in PDX. Generous portions.

The Beef Chow Fun is delicious! It's like if broccoli beef and drunken noodles had a delicious umami baby. The servings are *very* generous, too. This place is not really a restaurant, so it's best to call in your order and pick it up. They make their amazing fresh noodles and tofu for distribution to restaurants. They also make their own soy milk and it is tasty! The service is super fast and the employees are really nice and helpful. Don't be put off by the place- the front counter area is essentially used for storage. Definitely a hidden gem in SE Portland.

really delicious and they make their authentic style noodles in house! just don't expect a quick turnaround. my noodles took 50 minutes.

The lady was helpful and worked with me to get an idea of how much rice noodles they recommend for the amount of people I was cooking for.

If you are looking for a dine-in spot I'm not sure I can recommend this place as there is mostly boxes cluttered and no tables but that does not lessen their quality of noodles they provide at all.

My family and friends I grew up with always get noodles here and for good reason.

If you're around this area definitely recommend this place to grab some fresh rice noodles to cook at home.

Need to try their stir fry some time too!

I'm a night owl that needed to go to foster & 82nd to buy some tools; looked around at what was open @ 8 AM and saw this place. I think it was fate, looked worse in person than in photos and I think I startled them by showing up so early but the staff was very nice. Ordered the Beef Chow Fun which came out very quickly and it was absolutely DELICIOUS! A little sad I didn't ask for spicy as they gave it to me with absolutely no spice but lesson learned I will be back for spicy noodles. Highly recommend if you're eager enough to get take-out without fussing about some cardboard.

I love this store that also low key acts as a to go only restaurant. Boo hoo it is doesn't have seating and the store front is small. This is a store that primarily sells really good fresh rice noodles, but they also have a limited menu of to go food. The chow fun is really good and priced great for the amount you get. This store rocks.

First time I have been in here after living in the area for 6 years. This came on a recommendation of a friend and they are AMAZING. Get the Beef Chow Fun! I will be back to get another awesome dish soon!!!

JC Rice Noodle's definitely one of those places that are super easy to pass right by, and so I'm especially glad that I gave it a shot. Definitely not your sit-down restaurant affair—more of a combination food stand and East Asian-specialty corner store—but my vegetable chow fun (suggested by the cashier) was cooked to perfection, super fresh, and seasoned just lightly enough. Wonderfully friendly staff, and the wait was quite short.

Great deal, huge portions. Not ideal for eating in, but generally nice folks who provide delicious food at occasionally slow times if it's busy, but usually fast especially if you call ahead. Chicken chow fun is the best!

This place is fantastic. The portions are huge. Just out of curiosity i put my order of chow fun on the scale, it was a little over 5 lbs of food. It was delicious, too.

Their Beef Chow Fun is the real deal. If I lived in the area, I'd definitely stop by often, as well as to try their other menu items.
