Such an awesome staff. Great burgers and nice stone building to warm up in along the Hudson. There are bathrooms and even a fireplace. I have been coming here since I was a kid. They used to have hot apple cider with a cinnamon stick. I miss that

I discovered this place accidentally, and I am so glad I did. Great staff and the food was great too. Best views in the Hudson Valley for sure.

Great for lunch and access to a wonderful view! My daughter and I enjoyed a tasty lunch in the rustic Cafe along with a lofty view from atop the Palisades on this chilly January afternoon. Prices are quite reasonable and the food was hot and freshly prepared.

Someone said the last course was felt like 5,000 feet climbing.... I could say last course was just walk up 3 long floors.. 😁😁
But, for someone it may felt like hard course...

We went to State Line Cafe after our hike, not really expecting much for such a small place on the side of a park, but wow were we blown away. For two of us, the total was 16$, which included fish and chips, a grilled chicken sandwich with all the toppings, and an order of fries. The chicken sandwich was great, and the fish and chips was even better.

We may have been biased by our hunger after doing the full Giant Stairs, but this is definitely going to be a must stop for us moving forward.

This place is adorable and has wonderful history. The food is totally fine for a tiny cafe in a state park. My friend was disappointed in her turkey sandwich, but I can definitely recommend the Philly cheesesteak (weekdays only), even though they serve it on a round bun. 😉 It's delicious. And the fries, too. Yum.

Friendly service with a smile. The burgers tasted fresh and was a great portion for the price. We also tried the Buffalo chicken bites. The Buffalo sauce wasn't a favorite but the chicken was juicy. Their coffee beats the deal any day!

What a lovely place to park, get a snack or sandwich and head for a hike. Or the other way around.

Young staff in there was very pleasant and helpful. It was nice to get a coffee and grilled cheese and take them outside and enjoy on this beautiful fall day. Saw many falcons flying around here. Nice and calm Hudson River.

Fries were a bit cold, onion rings were spectacular, cheeseburger was amazing

It's great option for the break and to have coffee with breakfast. It's located near car park and clean and natural cafe with wooden benches and stuff. Everything is clean at place and you can enjoy the time after trek.

Collin was super helpful, the iced coffee (only in large) and Blondie were delicious. A great pickup for a long drive up the Palisades. The view is excellent, saw a few raptors. Though the water looked brownish from up high.

Seriously excellent flame-grilled cheeseburgers. And excellent fries. Absolutely worth the trip for this campy experience and excellent casual food. You can read through Pocket Guide to Northeastern Birds while waiting for your order! Nice staff too. Love this place, and go often.

Affordable and convenient stop after a hike or road-trip pit-stop. Has free parking, toilets indoors, portapotties nearby, plenty of picnic tables, and views! Burger was tasty and filling. Grilled chicken sandwich was also tasty. They also sell t-shirts, caps, candy, and a few souvenirs. No pets allowed indoors, but there is plenty of space to be seated outdoors with them and for them to relieve themselves. Would come and hike again just because of this snack bar!

Always loved this place, still love it. Such a gem, a treasure. And the coffee is great. And the burgers and the fries are very good. The baked goods are homemade and also wonderful. Love the authentic old mountain cabin vibe, and the book store. Just really glad it is here.

Look, it is what it is. A family oriented cute place (and the ONLY place to eat for a couple if miles) that serves simple fast food with a smile and is very reasonably priced. I don’t go there for the cuisine but the food is fresh and hot, nothing pre-made or out of a microwave, and the atmosphere is charmingly folksy. They also have a selection of books about nature, campsites, local yore as well as a smattering of children’s books. It’s a good fit for the park. I recommend it!
