New Ho Won

New Ho Won is my go-to chinos spot. They have the BEST general tso’s chicken ever!! Unlike other Chinese spots, theirs actually has a kick! Their wonton in garlic sauce is also delicious! The girls answering the phone are friendly.

I genuinely miss this spot whenever I can’t get to it for a while. And every time I come back, it’s as good as it’s always been. Shrimp egg foo young is out of this world!! Shrimp and broccoli as well! General Tso’s, fried dumplings, noodles, boneless ribs, fried chicken, beef or chicken skewers, soups, egg rolls…it’s all so delicious and fresh. Rice is always fluffy. The sauces are silky and well seasoned and they never skimp on ingredients. This is not one of those places where they’ll short you on proteins. Lastly, I cannot say enough good things about how friendly the service is. If you call in or stop by with any amount of regularity, even if it’s a couple times a month, they will remember you and the food you like to order. I asked for fortune cookies a couple times with my orders because I like keeping the fortunes I collect in a glass cookie jar, and now every single time I stop in, the woman at the front, Vicky, puts a handful of them in my bag without me even having to ask. I love New Ho Won 💖

Staff is always kind and the food is great. The chicken francese is my favorite.

Dumont has at least 5 Chinese restaurants but this one is the best. It's take out only but the food tastes as good as the better Chinese Restaurants in NYC. I usually get the Curry Beef lunch special with pork fried rice and won-ton soup. It is out of this world. They give you a nice assortment of Chines vegetables and the curry sauce is hot and spicy, just the way I like it.

I tried the eggplant in garlic sauce lunch special. It was delicious and the eggplant was very fresh. The portions were generous and the price was only $6 and change. The service was great and the kitchen looked very clean and spacious. I was really surprised to see that they have a big menu of Italian food as well as burgers, steak and seafood. But I haven't tried any of that so I cannot comment.

This is the best Chinese food anywhere in the area. Everything is freshly cooked and taste delicious. The people who run the place are kind and nice. They remember my order and even remember I have allergies to food. I have ordered from here at least twenty times if not more and have never been disappointed. Excellent!

Looks like ordinary Chinese take out. But they also serve Italian. We love the Italian. The Chinese is good too. The Chinese chefs prepare Italian just as good or better the average North Jersey pizza place

awesome place super huge variety of food everything on the menu is awesome whether it's Chinese or Italian or American food. Also super good prices on everything. Been coming here for years probably the best Chinese food place in the area. Definitely a spot to go to

I lived in New Milford in Brookchester for a couple of years (2006-2008) and ordered from them consistently. Whenever I called, they knew my address on S. Plympton as soon as I started to say the apartment # (they did not have a computer back then). I tried most of their American/Italian menu and was never disappointed, especially for the price (3 lobster tails for $18?! And yes, they are delicious!).
I also used to work in Bergenfield so I'd order from here a lot (their burgers are great!).
I moved and currently live in Englewood. Their menu states they deliver to Tenafly but not to Englewood. I live literally on the border so decided to call and see if they would deliver, and she said they would!
Everything was great as I had remembered. My man got the clams casino and I got the chicken parm hero which comes with fries. We shared mozzarella sticks. $20 total and huge portions!!
Minus a half star because their mozzarella sticks were better back in the day (they were huge and the cheese was more gooey) and their Chinese food is just average for me.
Another positive is that they're really nice.

Tried many places but my go to place was closed tonite..it was ok..nothing to write home about..just don't order the Singapore house rice noodles..all noodles, no goodies. Sure not worth $12.

This is a great take out restaurant. The food is very reasonably priced and it's good quality. They get you in & out. I've only had the American food. Haven't tried the Chinese food

I have a low sodium diet and Vicky, the lady on the phone, was very accommodating to my needs. I will definitely come back here because of the friendly, home-like service. Thank you.
