Alcove Wine & Liquor

I went to Alcove last Saturday and can't wait to go back. As soon as I walked in the owner was super welcoming. They had a free tasting and even that person was so welcoming and generous with the tasting samples. I went to Alcove Wine & Liquor looking for a dry red wine. The owner's recommendation didn't disappoint. (Four Virtues Cabernet Sauvignon Bourbon Barrel Aged) I love trying different wines and can't wait to go back to Alcove to find some more new favorites. Highly recommend. 10/10.

Where do I start from. This liquor store is amazing, always have great selection on wines, and the store owner I call him Mr. Robert is a Spectacular host. He will go out of his way to help you fine what fits the best for you. And this is the cleanest store I have been to. If you are looking for a great service and good wine this is the place to be.

Found this place at the height of covid lock down. Craving for bourbon and this is the closest to my hotel Hampton Inns. Owner is always on sure and knows everything he carries. That’s why it doesn’t have a huge selection. But there’s one bottle for every taste. I found a great bourbon and new Ukrainian vodka that satisfied my craving. And the prices are competitive to Total Wine that you know he is not raking in money. I’m a loyal patron now.

The BEST Liquor Store in NY! You can’t beat the prices there, everything is always in stock, and the owner is very knowledgeable on his products. The customer service has been great consistently since I found out about this place 3 years ago. I literally drive 20 minutes out my way because this place is that great!

Absolutely a wonderful experience! The owner is a gentleman who was and is always very accommodating considering my lack of knowledge regarding wine. He took the time to explain and offer different options that might be suitable to my palette. This is my second visit to this excellent establishment with many more in the foreseeable future. Well worth the time this is a true hidden gem.

What a pleasant surprise. It is a hole in the wall but a gem. Lots of good stuff. Even better: no cheap thrills. It is not as if the owner specializes in expensive goods - he isn't. It's just a well-chosen selection.
The owner runs the shop more as if it is a hobby than a business. He doesn't have the funds to make this a destination but it certainly is the best-stocked liquor store in the neighborhood.
Part of the problem with this place is that it is invisible. It deserves better than me having to wait five years until I became aware of its existence (I live 5 minutes walk away). Now that I finally found it, it is my go-to place for most of my regular liquor purchases.

Very good selection and prices

Went in not even sure what I was looking for but came out with some really good selections. The man who I assumed to be the owner simply asked what I like my wine to taste like and was able to suggest a few bottles that may appeal to me, which they did. Great prices as well. Will definitely be returning here! Thank you!

Very welcoming and knowledgeable owner! You go for a bottle and end up getting educated on wines and other liquors without feeling pressured to hurry or to go above your budget if you can't or simply don't want to. Very different experience from what we all encounter when we enter most other liquor shops.

My favorite little wine and liquor store around. Great service and selection and very competitive prices. Open later than anyone around and caries F.good wine at best price anywhere. Worth checking out. Ask about the new liquor he brings in, my new favorite place.

This is a great place. It's always a pleasant experience and I've learned a ton about different wines and liquors from the owner. This is customer service done right! I love this store and wish them prosperity and a long, healthy life.

Owner is definitely knowledgeable and experience in wine and liquor. Good prices and has just about everything or something better. Owner take price in craft and has surprised me with different brands that taste great.

I was shopping at Whole Foods on Sunday & needed wine for a food recipe. Alcove came up in my google search. It was close & still open! The owner, Robert, helped me select a few bottles of great wine. Great Customer Service! I’ll be back!

Love This Liquor store. The gentleman who owns this store is a very hard working man and has a lot of knowledge on liquor/wine. He is open until 10PM which is also a plus. Highly recommended!

Great customer service and conveniently located. In comparison to most wine stores I've been to the owner Robert was helpful and informative in selecting the right wine for a house warming my mother was attending.
