Our theater company, Blue Fire Theatricals, just completed our first production at the Old North Church in their auditorium space. The space is beautiful and was perfect for our little production's needs. Pastor Susan and the church secretary, Judy, were very kind, welcoming, and helpful. Both our production staff and students loved working in the space, and we hope to return here for our next show!

When the church has a sale, it has fantastic deals. As for the church itself, very nice people

Old North Church. This historic church that lies within the heart of Dumont is a friendly church. It was built in the early 1800's. It is a place where truth and love meet for an individual to practice Christianity in a safe place for centuries. Faith grows here and Holy Communion is served on a regular basis.

The sanctuary depicts fine architect dating back to the 1800' s. The church house was built in the late 1950's - early 1960's. The white steeple was replaced in the late 1960' s.The Van Dyke Chapel is a little church within a church. It is a serene place for quiet meditation and contemplatation. Their cemetery is the final resting place for many of the Dutch settlers that originally established the surrounding area.

The Church House is where the Sunday School teaches Christian concepts to children at age appropriate levels. It is the place where multigenerational Christian Fellowship thrives with enlightining programs and interesting events. Several times, it was used an overflow shelter to house homeless people from Hackensack during the fridgid winter months.

Christmas and Easter are especially joyous occasion here. At Christmas, their front lawn has life size replica of the Manger. The Choirs are phenominal. The traditional carols and hymns lift your spirits to new heights under the direction of the church organist.

This church is one of the finest venues to have your wedding. Your wedding will continue the historic line of countless of other couples that made their vows to each other in holy matrimony for over two centuries. Your wedding will truly be a memorable experience.

If you are in the area, Old North Church is a must see.

First of all let me start by saying I had the worst experience ever. I was here with my daughter who is a straight A student who is also the Vice President of her Honor Society. She and her peers were here to donate to the church/cat rescue a whole bunch of supplies. A gentleman asked everyone (who were all kids) to move from in front of the exit which is understandable so they moved from in front of the exit an proceeded to stand in front of the cats which was off to the left of the exit, then the lady who was sitting by the cats said you guys can’t ALL stand here it’s to bunched up the another lady came an said “I don’t know what’s going on, but give each other 6 feet please an if there’s no room you can go stand outside I’m sorry but I don’t know what to tell you”. Let me just remind you before we walked in, there were people sitting right next to each other an also people with no masks so the whole 6 feet concern was for what?! And the gentleman that asked the kids to move somewhere stepped into my face because I asked him “where would you like them to move to”. And he was extremely rude to everyone. It felt like we weren’t welcomed maybe because everyone coming to donate an give back were of a minority. Just to remind you all this happened in front of about 15 honor Society students and I’m not happy that this happened but it was a valuable lesson learned next time There will be a more thorough research on who we go and give our time to and who we go and donate to because this was just highly unacceptable. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL.
