New Milford Municipal Court

There actually the easiest to deal with instead of the other disgusting boroughs

Beautiful building, pleasant staff, would not recommend.

For those of you who don't already know: New Milford requires a court appearance to pay a simple parking ticket. Not dispute the ticket, just to pay.

Court started at 2pm, I was seen at 6:18pm. 4hrs 18min

A brief timetable of events:
2:00pm - 3:45 wait in courtroom to meet with prosecutor to negotiate a plea in regards to my parking ticket. During which time a highlight includes a fella all sorts of banged up on Xanax trying to steal almost $200 worth of Tide. (White collar crime, amiright!?)

3:45 - 5:00 wait in lobby to meet with prosecutor, overhearing lawyers conversations (unintentional)
Seriously overheard conversation:
Lawyer with shaggy shoulder length slicked-back greying hair to the prosecutor- "Hey brah, You tired? Me too! It's not the job, I can do this all day! You goin' to the bar after this?"
*secret handshake commences*
At this time of like to say the prosecutor was a really decent seeming guy, I have no complaints regarding him whatsoever.

5:00 - 6:18pm sit in courtroom waiting to be called up, during which time a highlight included this actual quote from the judge (near as I can remember, anyhow)
"[Sir] I have your record right here, I can see that you are a good driver. You only have ... (mumbled calculations) ... 11 points on your licence." 🤔 Jersey.

6:18 - 6:18:45-
"State your name."
"Jim"
"You like what the prosecutor said?"
"Yessir."
"Ok. Go pay."

6:18:45 - 6:20 paid and left.

The judge appeared very fair to all parties equally.

Ironically there is not enough parking at the courthouse to sit in court to pay a parking ticket.
