Hilton Garden Inn Secaucus/Meadowlands

The front desk people were so nice. And the waitress in the morning gave us the inside info on how to save money ordering breakfast. We stayed only for 2 nights. The pool is small but there wasn't that many people in there either so it was fine. The hot water in the shower you need to turn up more towards the cold symbol. I would stay here again. Just make sure you don't miss the entrance to get in. We had the junior suite and it was plenty big enough. We had 3 people

I really enjoyed my stay. I was confused about how my "do not disturb" sign kept getting thrown on the bed instead of staying on my door when I left. My door was propped open for some time the next day, but nothing looked missing. The front desk people were helpful and lovely. The pool area was nice. Overall, it was a very great stay! First time in New jersey, new York. Everything was nice.

What made this place exceptional wasn't just the hotel and its location which are perfect by the way. It was Edgar, he was so kind, patient and ever so helpful. He gave us perfect directions to the bus stop even after I kept calling, not once did he seem impatient with me. We will definitely stay here again without a shadow of doubt.

So much was excellent: room, beds were not too soft, bathroom plenty of room to put our stuff, shower nice, very quiet, check in and out excellent, friendly! beautiful setting in and outside of hotel, shrubbery. I would only request that the drapes in room be able to be closed all the way to block the light. We very much enjoyed our stay and will stay again.

Once you find the entrance you are golden!! (Not really that bad). Easy to get into NYC and back. Folks at the front desk were professional and accommodating.

Outstanding hotel and service! The location is great being that I was constantly traveling to NY during my stay. Restaurants and entertainment within walking distance. I felt safe both at the hotel and walking to the local restaurants.

I really loved the people at thos hotel, but unfortunately not so much the location in terms of needing to drive to eat anywhere else... That being said i really enjoyed the food available on site, breakfast is excellent and once again great service... As is the the food in the evening, really good quality and great service... I just prefer to walk to a restaurant after work... If you don't or you are in for a short stay you will love it... 5 stars ( just not for me this time as staying yoo long), short stay, perfect 👌

Always a great day they do have supper at night breakfast in the morning. They are not complementary, but they’re very good.

I've stayed here a couple times now and each time it's been a good experience. I find the hotel to be very clean, and the service is great. I couldn't hear other guests which was awesome. Beds are comfy. I think you can't close the dark blinds all the way but honestly it was not a problem for us. Prices are reasonable. Highly recommend!

Absolutely wonderful staff. Really helped make our trip wonderful. The location though is a bit hard to get to and from and the pool and hottub was very rough on the skin (rough grout instead of tile or liner) but small complaint!

Stayed here for a quick Saturday trip to Manhattan. Hotels in Manhatten were outrageously expensive. I was able to book a night here with 40k Hhonors points which I thought was reasonable. If you are a business traveler and familiar with Hilton Garden Inn, you will feel right at home. It's exactly like all other HGIs which is not a bad thing. I arrived early before noon and the staff had no problem checking me in early.
There is NJ transit bus stop a couple of hundred yards away and hotel has placed signs pointing to the bus stop which were handy. It's about 3 to 5 min walk from hotel. It's the last stop before entering Manhattan so it's a quick 15 to 20min trip to Port Authority station depending on traffic at the tunnel. Bus stop from Manhattan is on the other one side of the road and it's the first stop after leaving PA station.
Breakfast was $10 for cooked to order eggs and sides which was very reasonable these days. I was able to use my $10 food credit I had for being a Diamond member. Hotel also had a free covered parking which was nice.
One word of caution. This hotel is surrounded by highway access roads and interchanges. Pay attention where you have to turn into hotel property, if you miss this turn as I did, you may have to spend a few bucks on toll and waste 15~20min to get back to it!
Overall this hotel provided exactly what I needed; a comfortable place to sleep with easy access to Manhattan at a reason price.

Jennifer at the front desk was one of the single most hospitable check in experiences I've had. Felt like meeting an old friend.

The location can be tough for ride share drivers because the driveway is a bit hidden under the NJ turnpike sign.

Great room, friendly service, good value

A comfortable place to stay if you are planning a trip to New york. Comfortable beds and clean towels. Breakfast menu can be improved though.

The front desk woman Doris is literally an angel sent from heaven. We had originally planned on staying over night but our rental car got 2 flats and we ended up being stranded with our 2 year old for additional time while insurance figured things out. It was a very trying weekend and Doris was so kind as I broke down in front of her trying to figure out what to do. The rest of the staff was great as well. The room was spotless and they were all so very helpful. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Doris, if you ever get to read this, I can't thank you enough for your kindness. You helped me get through a very very rough time and there are no words adequate enough to say thank you.

The staff was very helpful and for the price, the hotel was very nice for just being a couple of miles away from the New York City center. I would recommend this hotel for people who want a nice place to stay at an affordable rate in New York area. I will say, a room was under equipped with only two towels and one roll of toilet paper. And when I wanted more of each, I had to go get them myself.

Excellent service great staff. Very friendly. Sharon at the service desk was very helpful and friendly answered all the questions we had. Where from Chicago and it was our first time traveling to New York for vacation. I would recommend this hotel to all my family and friends. The people in the morning for breakfast was very friendly. If I travel again to New York I would make sure I book my reservations at this hotel. Very clean room and quiet. Had very good night sleep all 4 days I stayed. 👍
