Best Western Premier Nyc Gateway Hotel

Nice hotel for price if you are planning to visit NYC.

I loved pictures of NYC. Tho it was new jersey lol. Their bar was nice. Bartender was nice and the bar had a nice vibe. Also they have a small public pool and a small gym so if you wanna use them, make sure to plan that out too.
They had a sample of shampoo, body lotion and stuff incase you forgot one of them. They had a mini refrigerator, iron, little table, and two chairs. I think this hotel was a great choice for the money.

Problems:
Their hot water was out at night so I had to shower under freezing cold water.
They have a few ants.

Their deposit is a $100 USD, and I booked hotel as PAY LATER but they asked me to put my credit card info, and there was a payment BEFORE my check out even though I had to pay extra for PAY LATER option. It wasn't really a pay in person.

The room was very nice and clean. The parking of the car in the garage is free.
The connection to NYC to the times square by the bus in front of the super 8 hotel is very good.

We stayed here the night before flying out of JFK, room was reasonably priced & the location was good. The parking was included which is amazing! Friendly staff, clean rooms… would definitely recommend.

My stay at Best Western Premier NYC was excellent. The hotel’s cleanliness and parking facilities were top-notch, easing my worries about accommodation in the city. Although breakfast was not provided, nearby dining options compensated for it. The WiFi was occasionally slow, but the attentive staff made up for any inconveniences. Overall, I highly recommend Best Western Premier NYC for a comfortable and convenient stay in New York City.

Our stay at Best Western Premier NYC was excellent for the most part. The hotel’s cleanliness and parking facilities were fantastic! I really liked that the parking was gated access only. The area surrounding the hotel didn’t seem very safe so this was a huge plus for us. I didn’t have to worry about my car being damaged or vandalized. The beds were super comfortable, great tv channel selection. The room has a microwave and fridge which is convenient! The location was great for us! There’s a Walmart, target and plenty of choices to eat or buy items on Tonnelle Ave. You’re also close to American Dream mall or NYC.

Breakfast was cooked to order (made fresh). The prices were decent, the portion could have been a little better. The bacon is the microwave type. Free coffee and tea.

Located in the lobby are some menus (Chinese and pasta/pizza) that deliver to the lobby. We tried Woks Cheese and it was FANTASTIC and fast!

Considering the location it was super quiet all night.

Cons:
The store located in the lobby was severely lacking. It had a large selection of halls cough drops but barely any soda choices (no Coke, Pepsi or Dr Pepper). Chips were always mostly empty, limited snack options all together. It would have been nice to see pretzels, trail mix, granola bars, sandwiches and such. The hotel had no vending machines to compensate either. I’d highly recommend hitting up a WaWa for snacks and drinks before checking in.

- 5th floor reeks of chlorine from the pool.
- Water pressure in the shower was horrendous.
- Ice machine area is hidden on 6th floor and needs better signage.

Overall, I highly recommend Best Western Premier NYC for a comfortable and convenient stay in NJ/NYC.

Spacious, well designed with cozy feel. Has a pool and gym on 5th floor. Breakfast available separately. 15 mins drive to NY downtown.

Room was very nice and clean. Parking was free and garage is secure. Water temp in shower is very inconsistent tho making showers uncomfortable.

The rooms were clean and front desk was friendly. Just be aware you do have to pay for the shuttle, not included in the rate however it was reasonably priced.

Stayed here a few times since 2020 and every time has gotten better and better. Front desk agents are always helpful. I asked their name, Harshiv and Jaime. Very knowledgeable about the area and so polite. The beds are always comfy, the breakfast area isn't my thing but I do see it packed alot. Parking is very convenient as they have their own garage. Nyc is minutes away, the bar is a nice touch, pool is fun. Noise level is nice as well, not loud at all. Definitely recommend to stay here, way cheaper than nyc

Nice hotel if you don't want to spend the money to stay in the city. They have a bus that will take you to times square for $8.00 per person.

Stayed here while attending New York Comic Con 2023 and enjoyed. One of the best things about the stay is they have off street parking and they had a shuttle to and from the convention

Overall everything was just fine for my family’s 2-night stay. Unfortunately, breakfast is not included, the room was right next to elevators so we could hear the chimes all the time, and apparently there’s no room make up / towel change for 2-night stay.
Otherwise, it was very smooth experience: quick and professional checkin/checkout, helpful staff, good pool, secure indoor parking. Overall new / well maintained hotel with quick access to New Your City.

The hotel is pretty nice and clean. They provide cribs for babies. The service was nice.

Both my son and I loved our stay here. We will be back for sure! Fresh coffee is included, 24/7 with other refreshments. This was a huge bonus for me and I must say it’s the best coffee I’ve ever had :)
Rooms were clean and so was the air which is not so common in many hotels leaving your throat and nose dry the next day.

Went there 3 hours early on check-in day to see if we could park our car, and they had our room ready! Every front desk person we saw was friendly, hospitable, and knowledgeable. They answered every question we had about local attractions, services or dining.
Rooms were cozy but perfect for just sleeping in them. Couldn't beat the price and location. We took the long way home from the bus stop, at dusk, because of an error on us and the neighborhood seemed fine to walk thru with my fiance and 3 year old.
Great value being close to NYC (the small shuttle bus is about a 4 minute walk and only $3.50 each way and drops you right next to Times Sq and gets there in about 20 minutes). It's also only 7 minutes from American Dream. Pretty close to a good number of restaurants and a shopping center.

Great value for the money. Clean premises, comfortable and quiet room (especially considering you're overlooking several major highways), and very friendly staff. Pool was small and not heated, but clean and gave us a place to relax for a few hours one afternoon. The hotel had lots of wheelchair accessible places, including the pool area. We didn't buy breakfast but the prices were reasonable for a hotel with a variety of options.

Great hotel at a fair price within 20-30 minutes of NYC. The area isn't ideal, but we stayed in the hotel other than our trips to the city, and drove anywhere we needed to go. The gated parking was nice to have also (have to have a key card to open the gate and get into the garage to park). We didn't get to visit the bar or have breakfast so I can't comment on that but the room was very clean, tidy, and stocked well (complimentary toiletries) and the staff we encountered was very nice. We would definitely recommend staying here and we would/will stay here again honestly.

This place was great. Ended up coming here after a horrible Airbnb experience and let me say this will be my new go to hotel in NJ. The staff was friendly, beds were comfortable and the rooms were so spacious. The breakfast option was nice although you had to pay extra for it, the food was delicious. My family and I truly enjoyed our time here. We will be back!

The room was really nice, cozy, large and clean. The beds & pillows are great. The television is big, too. I would recommend staying here to my family & friends. The FREE garage parking is a major plus too especially for the area. We drove to the Path station in journal square and took the train to get into the city which only took about 10 minutes. Great location for easy access to the city.

Clean, well appointed rooms at a reasonable price. Nice parking garage with easy access to hotel. Garage is secured at night. Good location for accessing public transportation to NYC.
