Residence Inn by Marriott Secaucus Meadowlands

Granddaughter #3 had an impromptu sleepover after celebrating her 18th B-day, so we Grandparents found ourselves thrown out of my daughter's Jersey City apartment & needed someplace to sleep ASAP! We got a last-minute booking & couldn't have been happier. The room was immaculate & customer service was great. The location made it easy for us to walk to find dinner & entertainment with a gas fire pit, restaurants & a movie theater with reserved, recliner seating & strong margaritas :-) right outside the back entrance. Later, I took the very plush, comfortable Queen-sized bed, he (6'4", 300lb former athlete) took the equally comfortable sofa & we both slept like babies! The bathroom was spacious & had quality toiletries on hand, which came in handy since I didn't get to pack. The continental breakfast was better than most than I've had, but I suggest you make an early run of it b4 families with small children start stirring. During our stay, a lot of the parents just let the kids go off on their own without supervision, and multiple disasters occurred around the time we were finishing our meal, but the staff was very attentive & patient with the children and worked quickly to clean everything. Overall, I think we ended up with a better deal (good food & wine, drunk movie watching, a good night's sleep & strong coffee with a filling breakfast) than the grandkids who were still in bed by the time we returned. Im looking forward to visiting again... Highly recommended!

Residence Inn hotel in jersey is located near to bus stand, so we get direct bus to newyork. But for ferries and other things definitely we need cabs or own cars.

We book the hotel room with kitchen, they have provided basic utensils also which was very good. Room was very clean and well maintained.

Coming to breakfast, they have decent menu with different yogurts, jams, breads, cornflakes, pan cakes, fruit juices, scramble egg etc.. good way to start the start

The hotel has nice clean rooms and attentive staff. It’s not located in the city, but it has a few dining options close enough to walk by. A bus route comes and goes to Manhattan every 15 min. Good option if you’re looking to park.

I have stayed at this location multiple times and never been disappointed. The front desk people are always so helpful and the complimentary breakfast really hits the spot.

For those not familiar with the Residence Inn brand, every room is set up for apartment like living. They come equipped with a full sized fridge so bring your case of water and know that you can refrigerate it with no problem. The come with a powerful microwave that you find over ovens in houses. The basic room have countertop burners to cook a meal in your room, especially if traveling for a length of time where boiling pasta for the family will help offset your ventures. This specific location does have a dozen restaurants within 3 minutes of a walk with a few giving their guests discounts. If there is a rainy day, there is a movie theater a stone’s throw away, about a minute or 2 walk. If you are wanting to visit Times Square or anywhere in NYC, the bus picks up about 90 seconds of a walk to the bus stop from the hotel’s entrance and you’ll be in Times Square in 25 minutes. Round trip cost is only $8.50 for adults, $3.90 for children, seniors and military. Newest attraction is the American Dream Mall 6 minutes away which hosts Nickelodeon theme park, water park, ski slope, ice skating, mini golf, aquarium, Lego land and much more. Breakfast is complementary at the hotel for overnight guests. Don’t expect 5 star quality, as it is FREE. However, it is serviceable and not bad at all considering you are not paying anything extra for it. I could keep going, but will let you experience something for yourself if you are traveling to the area and are looking for a hotel to stay at. There are many hotels to choose from, but this location is better than most - if not the best in a 5 mile radius.

Absolutely recommend staying here whether you're in town for a game or concert at MetLife Stadium or for a trip to NYC. We went into the city almost everyday of our stay taking the super convenient NJ transit bus 320 into Port Authority, at which point most of our destinations were walkable or an easy transfer onto NYC metro. The bus stop is literally a 3-minute walk from the hotel and although there are occasional delays, the bus is generally on time and comes every 15 or 20 minutes. As for the hotel, it is so spacious and clean. The daily continental breakfast is varied and relatively extensive. Yes, the rooms were a bit dated and because we had to use the pullout sofa, we had to move the furniture around and it was a little crammed (especially if you want to use the desk, which is right next to the sofa bed), but still way bigger than anything in NYC that doesn't break the bank. Free parking in a well-maintained lot is also an attractive amenity in this area. We didn't have too many requests and we declined housekeeping for the duration of our stay, but anytime we had contact with the staff, we were pleased with the service and responsiveness. The gym was well equipped as well. There's also a nice outdoor seating area with firepits and such in the breakfast room. Overall, we felt that you do get bang for your buck and we would definitely stay here again the next time we visit the city.

We were in Secaucus every Sunday the last 1 1/2 Years for Business. This hotel became our home away from home. Robert and all the employees where so friendly and helpful. Hotel was always clean. This hotel was like family and I do miss them all as my Business ended.

Nice clean, well maintained rooms. Good lighting in the bathroom. Comfortable bed. Breakfast on the so so side.

Marriott Titanium member. This is my first choice for hotels when I’m in the NY / Teterboro area. The hotel is a little older, but it is well maintained and clean. The rooms (especially the 1 bedroom junior suites) are spacious and have a kitchenette complete with a refrigerator and microwave.

The rooms are clean, and the beds are comfortable. Staff is always helpful and friendly. My primary reason for staying here is the location. Restaurants available immediately outside the lobby are:
Chili’s, Houlihan’s, Red Lobster, Chipotle, Dunkin’ Donuts, Stephano’s (Mediterranean) and a small sushi place. Within walking distance are Outback, and Red Robin.

Always a great stay, been coming here for six years. Recommended.

Wow. Super clean and cozy. Parking is awesome 👌. You can get a permit and park by the street. Unfortunately the bar is permanently closed but they have a shoppe by reception with lots of options-a bit pricey but saves the day though...

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious. The hotel was very spacious and the rooms were clean and ready for you. They also have a gym and pool for activities. Totally recommended.

We arrived at this hotel totally by accident after getting lost! The check in staff were so amazing and helpful! The room was very clean and spacious and made me wish we had stayed our whole week here! Super easy to get to NYC! Don’t stay in Manhattan, the hotel costs and resorts fee make it very expensive. We paid $8.50 each for a return ticket to The Port Authority Terminal. It costs $17 to drive thru the Lincoln Tunnel! Hotels in Manhattan charge $50 per night for parking! The Marriott in Secaucus has a fantastic and generous breakfast buffet, with something for everyone. This hotel checked all the boxes for us and we will definitely stay here again! Thank you!

Our family had 4 rooms for 3 nights and accommodations couldn't have been better. Staring with check-in and throughout the stay the front desk folks were AAA+, top notch, friendly, and professionally efficient all around. Breakfast service was very good and bottomless. The rooms were clean and comfortable and access to NYC was a breeze. We had a dog and all guests and employees were very friendly towards her. A first class experience all around.

Stayed here for a few days with my mom to visit the city. It was great, we used the park and ride bus that picks you up on the corner by the comfort stay(3minute walk), and drops you off in Port Authority. So convenient and we felt safe. The bus is the 320, and you can hitch a ride back the same way. The latest we got back was about 11. Oh, and the breakfast is good, room is spacious ♥

Loved everything about the hotel for me and my family of 4. We visited times square so it was a good option far as distance and price. Clean rooms and building, friendly workers, quiet, and plenty of parking (free). Highly recommend

This hotel and its stuff live up to Marriott’s expectations! We had great stay, loved everything about it! From front desk staff to the clean spacious rooms, the pool, breakfast was absolutely delicious with staff quickly and efficiently refilling food. Location is really nice too! We will definitely revisit in future if passing by that area !
