Great Wall Chinese Restaurant

Fantastic experience.
Ordered fried wanton, rib, fries combo, it was delicious.
I ordered 4 order of chicken and broccoli
They made it fresh and ordered 4 almond cookies which was very delicious.
I would definitely go back on my next holiday weekend.

I had ordered for Christmas, New Years and today 01/05/2024

And consistently, got the same orders
Spare Ribs with fried Rice
Chicken and Broccoli with fried Rice
Chicken Curry with onions
Lunch menu and it’s well worth the price!
The ribs, melt off your bone delicious especially when you get it when it’s freshly cooked!
I even left it over night in my fridge the next day and yes it still was very good

The chicken and Broccoli, I love it very much, reminds me of my old days living in Brooklyn NY ordering Chinese food

Same for the chicken Curry, I’m not too familiar but it tastes very good

I even ordered the 4 wings and pork fried rice, someone commented they only got 4 pieces of pork, I got more than that but what do you expect? It’s tiny pieces of pork not a thigh or something

I even got their almond cookies, trust me, it’s light and not too sweet like most cookies are and satisfying your sweet tooth

Got my usual , I order this many times often
Chicken Curry and onions and Chicken and Broccoli, both lunch menu and both very delicious, comes with fried rice and a soda
Even got my favorite Almond Cookies, it’s light, not too sweet and delicious

I definitely look forward to my next order

Honestly not sure why this place doesn’t have higher reviews… maybe people weren’t happy with the timeliness of their service? All I have to say is this is the closest thing to quality American Chinese that I’ve managed to find in the area thus far. Wonton soup- they give you more wontons than typical. Egg drop soup- fantastic. Dumplings- are what dumplings are supposed to be (not including dim sum). Chicken and broccoli- chicken isn’t the best quality but even still, this is Chinese take out and the taste is totally there. At the end of the day I think the quality and taste of the food is way above sub par than typical Chinese takeout places. It seems from the reviews that some people think Chinese takeout should be some upscale or fine dining experience but if they know anything about Chinese take out, it’s supposed to be modest, affordable food with a large hint of msg.

I have always been served with a smile at Great Wall. I typically get the wonton soup, General Tso, or Lo Mein. It’s been consistently great tasting food and I’ve been coming here for years.

Their service was good too.
Sweet and sour chicken was not what I thought. I expected something like orange chicken from panda express but the sauce was more watery.
Good thing is they gives you free rice for each dishes.
For take outs, they serve sauce and the fried food separately (sauce for sweet and sour chicken, not in d pic.)

This is my go-to Chinese restaurant. The owner is nice and the store cook is great. Hot sour soup was my first thing to order most of the time because it's like a home cooked style.

This is the only Chinese restaurant I order from in Hackensack...the chicken are always fresh ..I love their lo mein and the pepper steak ...10 out of 10

When you have Great Wall Chinese Restaurant, who needs Panda Express? It's my fifth time eating at this restaurant and I have to say it's the best Chinese food on the Gold Coast, hands down. The food is consistently good both inside and outside the restaurant. People with different diets, such as vegetarians and vegans, are welcomed. I absolutely adore this location! It's my guilty pleasure, and the customer service is  excellent. They clearly value their restaurant because they work so hard to provide 5-star service! I'm going to go cry and stuff my face in happiness right now.

This is my favorite take out Chinese restaurant in Hackensack. All the food is great, super affordable and they deliver very quick. The family that owns Great Wall are very nice and are very efficient taking orders over the phone. Next to Lotus ( a sit down over priced place) this is my go to take out/delivery Chinese food place in Hackensack!

This the best Chinese food. Anytime I'm in Hackensack this the go to spot! The half chicken fully cooked never raw. Quality and freshness the ultimate.

Wow...the food and service was great. I ordered chicken and broccoli combination with a pork egg roll. So tasty and delicious...two thumbs up!!!

The best Chinese food place ... Amazing service .... My car broke down in front of the store during a winter storm during closing time and the lady was kind enough to keep the store open for about 2 hours untill road side assistance arrived... Have been a regular at this place since then ...
