Eagle park

I've lived in H'burg for 15 years, and Spring/Summer of '23 is the first I've ever spent any time near the Willamette River! I couldn't stay away!! 😀 I recommend Eagle Park Ponds to anyone who understands that sometimes, the beauty of a "park" is seen when it's not been overtaken by a bunch of concrete , metal, plastic, fiberglass, tar, etc. This park is in the process of development and has not yet been laden with all of the unnatural things that will overtake it eventually! The Ponds used to belong to Knife River, and as such, there are tubes under the water connecting the ponds. I was told that the tubes were for filtering purposes for Knife River. One of the ponds opens into the Willamette River, which is great for kayaking! You can drop in at the 'boat drop' at the pond and just kayak into the river when you're ready. You can swim🏊‍♀, fish🎣, picnic, fly kites🪁, sun bathe, snorkel🤿, pick blackberries when they're in season, look for some of the most beautiful rocks that tumble down in the river from the Cascades, etc. Bring the family, even your dogs are welcome as long as you clean up after them and keep them controlled and supervised. There are many people who frequent this park and what it offers. This mars the beauty of the park. There are not any restrooms or trashcans yet. They're coming at some point.

This is currently an unimproved park just outside of Harrisburg. There are 3 ponds for fishing with decent access. There are no bathrooms or picnic tables yet but there are lots of plans for the future. There are plenty of fish in the ponds and it's not a bad place to just go walk around and get some fresh air. Just please pick up after yourself.

Fishing looked to be good with plenty of places to fish alone . Clean park

Was there fishing today. Did not get a single bite. Fished all three of the ponds. Did see a few carp breaching the water. Not too many people though the road back to the pond is heavily pitted do not suggest a car load to the ground if you're going to go back there. It's open from Dawn till Dusk and it'd be a cool spot to go and have like a barbecue and get some fishing. I'll probably go back there again when the weather warms up some
