Agaves Mexican Grill

Absolutely amazing, we ate out on the patio, it was a beautiful evening, just let me start with how amazing the service was, our waiter was very nice, funny and super comfortable with what he was doing, not just this a job but like he really enjoyed it, such a plus, I had the chimichangas, the ones that came with your choice of meat, I had steak & shrimp, hands down the best I've ever had, they were crispy like they are supposed to be, not like the others in the area where they are soft and over saturated, these were amazing, I also had a Chile relleno, the flavor was awsome, the spice comes in at a slow burn wake up, not flat or overpowering, everything about this place was just fire, check them out, will be doing follow up reviews on different things they got in the future. Next time I will have photos

So update, we came here on October 13 for my grandmothers birthday, once again the staff was really nice and the food was great, this time I managed to snap some photos, mine was the chimis and my wife's was the beef enchiladas, both were great, I had mine filled with shrimp and steak, you don't usually get that option at most Mexican restaurants around here, so like I said check it out.

The food was excellent. Service was outstandingly prompt and efficient. The atmosphere was crowded. The entrance was not large enough for the amount of traffic going through. Everyone was polite and made it work, tho. I think it was just the busy time of the day that caused a bottleneck. And then of course the bathroom was an issue, there was a line and it wasn't moving quickly. They had opened some others in the back, but I didn't hang around to find out. Our food was up before I could explore more.
The food was delicious. Everything I could ask for and more.
Thanks y'all. If I'm ever back in your area, I'm going back for more. Yummy

We decided to find a late dinner at around 9pm we were in the area and we decided to stop in.
We didn't have to wait once we arrived and my kiddos ask to sit outside since it was a nice evening.

Chips and Sala was brought out immediately! The chips were warm the salsa was not bad to me but the kiddos really loved it.

Our server took our drink orders within about 5-8 min. of being set at our table.

About another 5 min. went by and he took our food orders.

Less than 10 minutes our food was brought to us hot and ready to dig in!!

Food was great and had plenty of flavor, our server was top notch!

If we're in the area this will be another great stop to come to!!

we walked in got seated quickly. we gave our order got the chips and salsa and drinks quickly. Then they brought our meal out quickly. the food was great.

Fantastic little restaurant. A lot of menu items were unavailable, but dishes were huge and had good flavor. Loved the patio area as well. Great stop after a long day at Holiday World. Salsa is some of the best I've ever had!

Fantastic Mexican Restaurant!! If you get within 50 miles of this place just go. I went with a party of 5. We had a variety of different foods including chili relleno, tacos, burritos and fajitas.. We started with the salsa which was the best I have ever had. The cheese sauce was amazing. It would be very easy to eat too many chips and ruin your meal but our food came out so fast we were saved. Seriously, this is the best Mexican food I have ever had.

Really nice atmosphere. Tasty food and another cozy environment. The margaritas were excellent. Certainly one of the best restaurants in the area.

Fantastic Mexican cuisine! Chicken fajitas were out of this world. Generous portion of guacamole one all platters. Chicken chimichanga had a great inside with a tremendous amount of flavor. Single chicken soft shelled taco was fantastic. Salsa is some of the best around and the chips were nice and crispy.

The truck was in Vincennes today and I ordered the burrito bowl. It was amazing! Thank you!

THE FOOD CAME OUT SOOO FAST. We ordered 2 dinners, and it didn't take more than 5 minutes from ordering to food on table!!!

The menu is very extensive, and has a lot more seafood options than I see at other Mexican restaurants. I got a Mexican pizza, which I also haven't seen anywhere else.

We asked for hot hot salsa and it was good (actually hot).

Service was really fast and friendly.

The restaurant was busy, and there was nice music on, but it definitely wasn't loud or affecting conversation.

Great dinner. Nice portions. Lots of shrimp or other filling. Good rice. This meal was better than the last few but I understand with covid.

Stopped in for lunch and was pleasantly surprised. Nice menu, friendly staff and flavorful meal.
I chose an enchilada and taco combo that came with beans and rice. It was nice that the lunch menu was available on the weekend.

In a sea of nothingness between Louisville and Evansville, we were incredibly lucky to find this amazingly delicious, authentic Mexican restaurant off of desolate I-64 (thanks highway sign and Google). The freshly made chips (still warm) and homemade salsa were delivered seconds after arrival, and a margarita as big as my head immediately thereafter. Round two I went with the Michelada, and it may have been the best drink I've had in my 44 years on earth. For my meal, I ordered the Mocajete and it did not disappoint, photo below. Great all-around experience. Highly recommended.

We were in town after visiting the local amusement park and were looking for something other than fast food for dinner. Agaves turned out to be a great choice. The food was good and delivered quickly. The wait staff was courteous and checked to make sure our dinners were prepared to our liking.

This food was absolutely delicious, you definitely should try it. Services was, very friendly. 10 out ot 10.

Giant burritos! Delicious! Great service too! Just wish they'd wipe off the tables. Mine had stuff all over it. Otherwise..... fantastic!

We were staying in santa claus and decided to check this place out. It was only about 15 minutes away. The food was so good. The waiters could not have been nicer. I was so happy we chose this place.

Best Mexican restaurant in Indiana. You taste it right away. The salsa and queso are the best I've had anywhere. Quick service, great staff! I would go out of my way to stop here.

Food is standard; however, I did enjoy their healthy plate which was shrimp and chicken on romaine lettuce instead of tortillas. Kids loved their burritos and menu was decently priced. Salsa was fresh and chips were replenished quickly. The only complaint is that I wish they had a bigger place to spread out. I felt like we were sitting on top of each other as the next table was only 3 or 4 feet away.
