Monarca Mexican Grill

Have been here a few times for their lunch/dinner selections - spoiler, their Carne Asada is AMAZING! .. but the fact that we hadn't wrote a review before for Monarca is on us sonwe decided to write one on their breakfast selections!

We got one of their bacon burrito and a chorizo burrito, and got extra potatoes in each one which was an extra $.50 per burrito. These are their smalls - for $5.50 ($6 with potatoes) it was the size of a large burrito everywhere else which was crazy to us! The chorizo was well seasoned and tasty but the bacon burrito was hands down one of the best breakfast burritos we've ever had. The bacon was firm but soft and mashed with the entire burrito - it just sang in your mouth.

Hands down would recommend Monarca for a quick bite - breakfast OR lunch! Give them a try, they'll change the way you think about quick Mexican food!

I've been going here since 2019 or so. They have a delicious taco salad. I've also had their burrito mojado en Chile Verde. Their tacos are also one of my favorite in town.

This is a great restaurant owned by very nice people. The prices are also excellent. They're open early in the morning and they also have a drive-through window. It's always ready in seven minutes!

Damn good food. I tour all the small Mexican joints and this one is fantastic. Great food and great sauces! They've got a drive-thru, as well. I dined in, but it's something available, if you don't want to. Super clean inside and very fresh. You won't be disappointed!

Delish breakfast burrito, good portions, great service, and very reasonably priced

One of my personal favorite places to eat. The hot sauce is its own level of amazing. If you like places like, habaneros, victorico's, or muchas gracias, give these guys a try and you will NOT be disappointed.

I love their breakfast burritos and everything else here. It's great that there's a drive through. I'm too lazy to get out of my truck when I'm on the go.

I haven't tried the food, being a doordasher I can only smell it in the car, but it smells great and the restaurant is clean, with great customer service

Really tasty super burritos, made to order, plus many other mexican food favorites like enchiladas and rellenos. Offering food to go through a drive thru window or you can go inside to order. Very fast service. Beverage case has standard sodas, jarritos and juice, no alcohol. Authentic flavors in the burritos, and the orange salsa they give you on the side is plenty hot and adds a nice kick, but not excessively spicy. I'd recommend it if you are looking for a quick and tasty bite.

I called in an order today for pickup. There was a variety of items. I really like their carnitas soft tacos. My order was ready soon after I arrived, generous servings, items correct with special touches.Thank you crew and you all of deserve my generous tip. This is now my "go to" for Mexican food.

Pleasantly surprised by how tasty the chorizo burrito was. I've been looking for a go-to place in Salem for breakfast burritos and I think I may have found it.

This is an older place. The burrito was a good size and very good.

We’ve been coming here for years. The breakfast burritos are our favorite! And the sauce. Literally the best sauce I’ve ever had! We buy a pint of red sauce a week usually just so I can put it on everything I eat! 10/10 would recommend!

The people are friendly, the service is quick, the price is reasonable, and the food is excellent. I have had their tacos and their quesadilla. I would recommend either.

Some of the best Mexican food I have ever had. I usually get the carnitas burrito supremo, but I have tried other things and have never been disappointed.

Absolutely delicious! I ordered chilaquiles and added the optional eggs on top overeasy. So good and they packed my plate as well. I ordered on the phone and was told it would be ready in ten minutes, got there exactly ten minutes later and it was hot, fresh and ready. Good prices and the orange and green salsas that was included in my to-go bag were delicious. Clean inside and nice people! I will definitely be back!
