Independence Park

Nice little park with a great new playground. Cool paved walking trail where you can read a storybook along the way. Public restrooms that include automatic sinks, soap dispensers, papertowels and a baby changing station. Looks like they closed them recently but they provided port-o-potties. There's also a Little Free Library. My daughter loves the musical arch. I love seeing the birds and squirrels. Pretty place to walk your dog.

Our granddaughter asked to go here. We were impressed by the amount of and quality of the playground equipment. Very nice walking trails. Several nice picnic shelters.

Always a top park for our little one. Plenty of things for her to try, even at 14 months old. Goats on the side fence add a nice touch of animal viewing. The trail around the park also is nice to take when there are too many people on the playground.

Great park. Lots of open grassy areas and an updated playground. Plenty of picnic tables and a long walking trail.

I really enjoyed this park! It’s different than most parks we’ve been to but Alot of fun. Would be a great place for a birthday party. Also has an open field to play in or fly kites. And this adorable goat that will walk right up to you and is super sweet! He’ll just let you pet him.

Great park, all the kids and parents are nice. The equipment is clean and engaging for toddlers to big kids. My kiddo loved seeing the goats on the adjacent farm. Nice walking trail and picnic set up.

My girls love this park! New Park equipment with my girls favorite, the now hard to find d merry-go-round! They also love the interactive music playing activity machine they have that tells them the game to play. There are several shelters with picnic tables. Flushing toilets and a nice walking trail around the outside of property. We always see dogs on walks with their owners.

The park has something for children of all ages and abilities. The surface of the playground is wheel friendly. There are also 2 paved paths around the park. The short inner loop has a story boards along the way for little ones to enjoy. There are shelter houses that make perfect places to share birthdays with friends and family or to simply have a picnic.

Great place to play for kids and a good trail for sprint walk or running.
Good place for friends gathering as well for a picnic spot.
My 4 year old daughter really enjoys at this park with the rides and adventurous games.

Love that this park has a lot of amenities-a paved path for walking or biking, an accessible playground, shelters that can be rented, and restrooms.

Independence Park is a small Center Grove area county park who's major point is accessibility. All the facilities are wheelchair friendly including the playground which got a major overhaul in 2020.

Amazing park. Has so much for kids to play on and junior basketball hoop my son loves. We go here at least twice a week and play for hours.

Fun place..good place to celebrate birthdays. Basketball court.trail.lots of place to sit and enjoy with family.

This park is so nice! And the shelters are very reasonably priced for renting. I especially loved the goats just on the other side of the fence from the park.

Awesome park. Best and safest playgrounds I could ever imagine. The playground area has a kinda rubber type surface, kinda makes you feel like your walking in the moon, or on a sponge top mattress lol. Had a great birthday party there today. My 58. I think my only recommendations is for trash receptacles be put in common areas, however there is a dumpster, a little further away, - nonetheless the place is exceptionally clean. My vote for the best little playground i have ever visited. The coolest swings. Peaceful as well.

The best park around! It has the best, well maintained playground equipment. It has a great sensory area. It also helps that it has a great fence around the whole of the park. You probably wouldn't know the fence it was there if you didn't walk the trail around the perimeter of the park. It helps to be able to let our son run among the tree's and know he's 100% safe if he gets out of our sight for a second.

This park was recently renovated in the summer of 2020. Plenty to do for children ages 2 and older. There is also a nice walking path along the perimeter. Three different shelters for hosting an event. The basketball court is a little dated, but otherwise a nice, safe, and clean park. Can get crowded.
