My absolute favorite local park, this place is about 15 minutes from my house but totally worth the drive. There are a few activities and historical things to check out as well as a 2 mile out and back paved trail and a smaller unpaved trail. They also do a large festival every year that is really fun.

Two trails available. The paved one is the longer of the two. The unpaved one is on the opposite side of the parking lot and takes you through the wooded area, traversing the river most of the way. It will eventually take you into the big open area of the park, which has some great historical information markers about the history of Waverly. Very well done!

I was looking for a park to take my dog walking while I was visiting here out of town. It was the perfect place! Secluded, lots of nature, access to the river, very nicely kept and clean. Was about a two-mile Trail if you don't go down to the river and stick to the paved path. Will definitely go again!

A quiet and wonderful little park, great place to slow things down and just listen to the sounds around you. Also a great place to walk the dog or picnic. They also have boards around the park with interesting information about the surrounding area.

Nice paved 2 mile path along the river. It is kept pretty clean and the majority of users work to keep it that way.

Enjoyed taking my dog for a walk here. Path is quiet, wide enough for people to pass. Runs along the river, which is beautiful.

The riverside walking/bicycle trail is beautiful. 2 miles long, with lots of beautiful picnic and fishing spots. We saw bald eagles, and lots of great views of the white river

My spouse and I went on a day trip down to brown county. On our way home, the GPS routed us off the highway due to traffic and took us right by this park. We saw so many cars and lights, it looked like something awesome was happening. We decided to stop and see what was going on. It was some kind of Halloween festival. We went on the haunted trail and it was really cute. It wasn't over the top or super deep, but it was really nice. Even some of the actors were friendly and told us to enjoy the rest of our time. The park had incredibly large trees and it was very pretty. We will be returning.

This was a great find on our weekend trip to Martinsville. Loved the historic town. As a docent at the Cincinnati Harriet Beecher Stowe Housr, i was thrilled to find mention of the Beecher Family visiting there. The staff was very friendly and showed us the beautiful 3.9 mile walking trail along the river where we could walk our dogs. It was a great visit. My only minor suggestion would be to consider adding dog curbing stations on the trail maybe at the mile markers so owners can more easily dispose poo bags.. One of my favorite walks ever!

A lot has been put into making this park. Beautiful paved path by White River. Fishing, beautiful play area. Lumber from the area has been used to create this lovely park. Anyone involved or living in the area should be very proud!

What a great local venue for Halloween.

Different & lots of fun for the kids. Many vehicles were staged inside & parked where they gave out candy.

They did sell hot dogs, chips, soda, snacks to pay for next year's Halloween event.

Well attended but organized as well.

Great little park, we go there for the hiking trail by the river. 2 miles long one way. Great for running, walking, or cycling. Bringing your dog(s) is great too.

A hidden secret, rapidly being unveiled. The paved trail is about 2 miles one way, and it does not loop around so be prepared for a trek if you want to go to the end. Many have never realized how beautiful the White River is, but you can see for yourself on this trail. We see more people walking or riding their bikes every time we are there, but it is not crowded. The mural, historic bank, and old town square make this simple little park a very special place in Waverly.

I knew this park was here but I never knew what it was about until the fund raiser event. Fascinating! If you have an appreciation for Billie Creek Village, Nashville, Indiana and the like, pack a picnic lunch and learn about Waverly 's history.
