I've taken my 2021 Subaru Outback XT there whenever I needed warranty work, CVT fluid flush, diff fluid change, etc, and for the most part they do right by me. However I do not appreciate not being told I will be charged $160 for a head unit update that I could've done myself in 15 minutes.

I discovered while my car was in the shop that Subaru FINALLY released the firmware to allow for full screen Android auto, and I figured hey, why not see if they can do it while it's in there, not sure why it wouldn't be free as I've done previous ones on my own with a USB drive in 15 minutes. Well I finally come to pick up my car (hour drive one way), and I get footed with an elevated bill. $160 to spend 15 minutes updating my HUs firmware.

I really wish I was told it costed that much, at least told it costed something, but I'm not surprised they didn't seeing as it's a dealership and they only want more of your money.

Oh, they also disconnected my dash cam... Yeah that's not cool.

I can no longer recommend this dealership anymore, I'm pretty disappointed.

Cannot recommend. I took my 2016 WRX here for A/C service. They told me Subaru A/C systems are sealed systems and cannot he recharged & that my compressor would need replaced (charge of $1100+).

1st - with a minimal amount of examination it’s clear there is indeed a low/high pressure A/C line.

2nd - My neighbor (an ASE certified mechanic) looked at the issues at his shop. The A/C compressor have a bad o-ring which which caused a bad leak. A ring replacement & recharge at $175 fixed the problem.

It’s too bad, I had hoped for better!
