local food coop owned by the local neighborhood. Lots of selections, fresh produce, lots of bulk spice, and other. Good for local products as well, never a long wait, get in and get out. Love the selection of local products, wine to honey, lots of good bulk products, and helf supplements. A bit of everything, they still want you to wear a mask.

Grocery co-ops are the best. There’s this one and there’s People’s Food Coop in SE. both are fantastic. If you live anywhere near this place, it should be your go-to for all your shopping. Their bulk foods section is amazing.

A friend gifted me a membership here and I am so pleased. They are always friendly to me when I come around, and it really does feel like building community rather than just Doing Capitalism at each other.
This is one of the only places that I can get local berries and grapes without any plastic. The produce is always so bright and delicious.

How was Alberta Co-op? Google please. Well, I drove by a store down the street that I have an employee discount card for just so I could shop their amazing produce department! If I lived anywhere close I'd surely be a member. Look at this veggie plate I made when I got home for goodness sake!

Alberta Coop is the best!! Surprisingly affordable, friendly staff, a wide range of products for such a small store. So glad I'm a member!

Really great little neighborhood grocery coop. Wish I lived closer to it, but given how many goodies they have on offer it's probably a good thing.

Man, today I had a very bad day involving two of my family members. I was feeling really low and was waiting for the 8 bus. I stopped in to get an apple and chocolate bar while I waited.
The clerk ask how my day was and I was straight up with him and told him my situation and that the day had been long. His act of kindness brightened my day.
I didn't get your name, but thank you so much for your big heart and kindness ❤.

The sweetest corner grocery in Portland. Well stocked bulk section. Gorgeous local produce. A nice selection of cheese and wine. Fresh baked goods from Dos Hermanos and Shoefly. They have funky gift items too, candles, octopus earrings, aromatherapy tinctures. Definitely no more expensive than New Seasons or that Amazon monopoly down the street. The staff is always friendly, present, chatty in a genuine way. I’m proud to be a member of such a fine establishment.

Very well stocked despite having small space. Reasonably priced and genuinely fresh organic produce, bulk foods/supplies, and other natural products. Go for the membership, it's well worth it.

Such a great resource in the neighborhood. My partners parents were visiting from Germany and also loved it! Shockingly wonderful wine selection as well.

Love this place! My Air B and B was just a block away and I stumbled upon in on my morning jog. I ended up stocking up for my work trip here and loved all the local goodies and how tasty the produce was. Perfect little neighborhood spot.

This place is delightful. The staff is friendly and the selection is quite broad. I love the idea of a neighborhood co-op too, even though I'm not in the neighborhood any longer

This grocery store is fantastic. They carry the best of the best. Super clean and easy to find things. No choice overload. They simply carry the few best things in each category and it makes it very easy to shop. I trust their choices and I know everything in there is on the healthier side of the spectrum, no matter what it is.

One of the best Co-ops I've ever been to. I was lucky to have this store as my main grocer for produce and dairy for over 3 years. Things are always fresh, fairly priced, and quality. The selection of goods from within a 100 miles of Portland is the best anywhere in town.

Interesting natural food market that is very vegan and local business oriented, but also has organic and humanely treated meat products for carnivores like me. I really hope the concept behind this store spreads and becomes more common. The produce quality here is top notch, too.

All natural items. Memberships for discounts. A little higher priced items. But the store is very nice and clean.

I am vegan, so I LOVE shopping at Alberta Cooperative Grocery -- and I even became a member of Alberta Co-op twice! You see, I used to live in Northeast Portland and I remember when Alberta Co-op opened its doors in 2001, which is when I was a member for the first time; then I moved away for about two years before returning to Oregon. And, therefore, this is the second time I have been a member. They have a great selection of vegan products and their 10% off once per month for members -- between the 1st and the 10th of each month -- is a great way to save even more than you already save. Plus, I live in the Pearl District and I walk 3.3 miles in order to shop at Alberta Co-op!

I love to pop in here when I just need a few things to round out a meal, or when I'm looking for a special treat. Awesome chocolate selection, always seem to have the one perfect piece of fruit to brighten my day, and there's a good chance I'll find a new flavor of kombucha and something unintended, like wildflower seeds or a tote bag.

So i have been coming here off and on for a few years. Finally after the remodel and later hours i became a member because i love it so much!. The staff is friendly and helpful. They had a huge selection and compared to other local co-ops i have been to this has a decent vegan selection! Their prices are really comparable to like whole foods or new seasons but its local and small!! The produce is where its at! I need a lot of fresh veggies for me and my rabbit so having as much as they do really helps. The fruit is fresh and super tasty im always excited to see in their insta stories of anything new in and how to prepare it if needed. Try it out maybe give it a few go's i think it's totally worth stopping in.
