Susan’s Barbecue

We were referred to this wondrous place by family who lives in bend. The location is very rustic and although the day was cool there were fire barrels burning and it was very cozy. The food is spectacular so well prepared and the taste is excellent. The food was quickly delivered very efficient. The tables were clean and the whole area was kept very neat as you can see by the pictures.
We arrived shortly before the business opened and there was already a line of people waiting to place an order. During the time that we were there the line you can see by the pictures stretched all the way to the back. The only restroom facilities are a porta potty which while very clean, and had a hand sanitizer dispenser was a slight drawback. There were numerous families there with young children and even animals and so the whole scene was very rustic family-oriented and extremely friendly. Highly recommended. But come early.

Carolina-style BBQ served in a food truck on a small farm. Get a tray of meats and sides to enjoy there or meat by the pound to take away. Pork and beef ribs, pork belly burnt ends, brisket, slaw, mac and cheese, and a variety of sauces. Everything is delicious.

Tremendous BBQ cart in Old Town! Now granted i only had the pork tacos, but WOWOWOWW!!! The smoked pork was so tender and flavorful (sorry, not a sweet BBQ sauce, but they do have some if you’d like to add). Even the 6” tortilla was delicious. I am overwhelmed by how amazing these tacos were.

Omg. Amazing. Tried the Brisket Burrito first. So so so tasty. Great mix of potato and meat and fixins. The kids tried it and loved it too even though it was spicier than then normally like. Decided to follow up with six, yes SIX, brisket tacos. And OMG next level! The folks who run the cart are amazingly great and the food is top notch. Cannot recommend more.

I was biking the Twin Falls Scenic Bikeway and saw a small sign saying Susan's Barbeque food truck was open, so I pulled in and was delighted by this gem. I got warmed up by the fire pit and enjoyed their potato salad & some chips (all I could handle so I could finish the hills on my ride). I'm excited to come back and try more of the menu. Super sweet people, amazing little hidden garden area. What a fun stop!

Ordered several things to go from very friendly folks running the stand, hung out for a few minutes and food was ready within probably ten minutes.

Took home a Hefty brisket burrito smothered in queso with pickled onions on top and it was scrumptious! Meat was tender and had enough to pull some out and eat on its own and with the sweet bbq sauce.

Also brought home some breakfast tacos, good enough that I almost forgot to take a picture of any of them! I'm a bit of a breakfast taco skeptic (team burrito) but these are splendid tacos! Definitely grab the salsas too, they can bring some nice heat or zip to tacos or anything else you order.

Can't wait to come back and try more, next time sitting in the sun with a brew :)

Great spot for a food truck in the commons area- the starting location of our Bend route!

Best bbq in Central Oregon. Best brisket in the state! Spare ribs and burns ends were amazing too. The property and atmosphere is beautiful. Susan came by and chatted with me for about 10 minutes about bbq and it is obvious that it is her passion. Go give it a try, you won’t regret it.

I am a Texan by birth so Brisket is very much a staple, since moving to the PNW I had been lacking a delicious Brisket taco in my life until now. The homemade tortillas yes, I said homemade tortillas.. are absolutely delicious and so soft, so much flavor in them alone add the Brisket and fixings and I'm over the top. So glad she found a home in beautiful downtown Bend. The pulled pork and other specials never disappoint either.

Well folks, this is about as good as it gets outside of Texas and Carolina (and a lot in if I’m honest).

The brisket really was great, and, it will only get better as the season goes on; if your looking down at your platter you might think you were in Austin..

Also, that whole hog is as good as you can get at any pig-pickin’ at some random bar in the Carolinas in the middle of an absurdly hot summer. Good Times.

And if any BBQ place around wants to know the secret to this wonderfulness, it’s love.

Wow! We were blown away by everything we've tried. The tri tip Ave brisket burger are delicious! Gazpacho was so good! All on a beautiful property with awesome people!

Susan was amazing as well as all the staff. Environment was very comforting and inviting. I had a little of everything and it was as amazing as everything else here. If your In the Bend and Redmond area this is a must stop place.

Delicious! In an area of expensive dining places, this little food cart was a welcome find. The Cowtown brisket sandwich was soooo good! Plentiful outdoor seating and lots of people watching too!

Finally good barbecue in Bend! Smoked meat tacos are amazing on the homemade flour tortillas and the chicken wings are some of the best I’ve ever had.

Best BBQ in Central Oregon. Staff was lovely, food was out of this world, and the atmosphere was perfect. Can’t recommend enough.

Generous and delicious carnitas taco. Lots of tasty pork. Fun and tasty sauces. Friendly, smiling owner. Loved it.

Perfection! 15/10 would Brisket again.
