We had just moved to Springfield when our girl got really sick and I kinda just picked a vet not knowing that they in fact would be so amazing. Not only did they get on the floor to comfort my dog but they were so amazing in every way. That day I lost my best friend and words cannot ever thank this crew enough for all they did....they were there...you could feel their heart breaking for me...a few days later I got the sweetest card in the mail....I could never go anywhere else from that day on.

We’ve taken our pets to VCA McKenzie for the last 5 years. I can’t say enough good things about them. When it was time to let our Tiger go, they were kind and compassionate, even sending a handwritten card the following week.
Our dog Cheeto absolutely loved vet visits and they helped extend his life much longer than I thought possible. We lost Cheeto today and bringing him in for cremation was difficult, but everyone was so kind. Our favorite vet tech even hugged me and when we returned home, I received a text from his vet. I can’t imagine taking our other dogs and cats anywhere else.

My 10.5 year old Big Mastiff had to be put down, been more than a perfect protector an loyal companion, Jess an the vet were so accommodating as I couldn’t get him out of rig. Above an beyond kindness, it was if Jess loved my dog as I do. Highly recommend ♥

I have been coming here with many different pets for many years. I had to put my grandma's cat that I got when she passed away to sleep. I'm constantly impressed by the staff's genuine care and compassion for my fur babies, and for me at such a difficult time. I wouldn't take my pets anywhere else unless I had to! Fantastic care.

My dogs LOVE them!! They are always eager to see the techs. The communication and knowledge is phenomenal! Nail trims, weight checks, and overall care is everything a fur parent could want. They care for my dogs as if they were their own.

My dog received the best care available in Lane County. The vets are not only up to date with all modalities but they practice cutting edge and non-traditional medicine.

We've been taking our Service Dog for all her medical care to them for about 3 year's. The staff is great, they're very courteous and caring. They take the time to help us understand exactly what her medical conditions are.

We had our kitty euthanized today and the staff at McKenzie Animal Hospital were absolutely amazing. We took our Middy here because it was the only place with an available opening on the weekend for what we needed to do.

With the pandemic going on, I was so worried that I wasn't going to he able to be with my cat during the process, and I really wanted to be there with her from start to finish. I was able to be with Middy 99% of the time and the person who was assisting us (Ronnie was her name I think) was incredible. She was very kind and I could tell she truly cared about animals. She even teared up with me after Middy passed and I was saying goodbye.

The whole process and environment was actually quite comforting for me. I was terrified to let my kitty go since I had never put an animal down and I actually wanted to do it at home (nobody had an opening) but things here were so smooth, calming, and professional. Middy wasn't scared at all, and as she fell asleep in my lap, I knew I had made the right choice for her. She is resting comfortably now, and no longer in pain.

Thank you for helping me through this enormously difficult time, and for providing the love and care you provide for your patients, even if it's the very first time and the very last time you see them, as was Middy's case. She and my family really appreciate you, and we will definitely be bringing our other animals here.

My family owns a German shepherd named Romeo. he’s abit difficult around strangers so when he started to get allergies a lot of vets didn’t wanna treat him because he looked “scary” it left us with alot of anger towards vets so they would only give us antibiotics but the allergies kept coming back to the point that his condition got worse. And we decided to try VCA and not only were they able to book us a last minute appointment but they also did everything they could to help treat our Romeo, will definitely keep coming to this vet!

I have never received better care and attention to my pets. The whole staff, from front desk to each veterinarian, are pleasant, knowledgeable, and helpful. My dog has anxiety issues and gets separation anxiety when away from me. The medical assistants and vets are calm and are able to ease my dog's anxiety during tense exams. Regardless of if he gets vaccines, or just a simple well-check, he still loves going here!

About four months ago I came across a stray kitten. She was sweet, adoring, playful, and everything else you love to find in a cat but she unfortunately tested positive for FeLV. With another cat in the household and the disease already drastically reducing her life I made the difficult decision that she could no longer live in the house. Living three quarters of her life yowling and isolated in the bathroom is not a way for a cat to live.

None of the shelters would take her due to the disease. CRAN despite their efforts are hopelessly overworked. After months if searching I finally decided that the only solution I could come up with is Euthenasia.

All of the other vets I contacted either left me on a robot call and never got back to me, were hideously overbooked, or refused to help because she "was healthy".

I hated the decision. I hated the way she purred as I held her paw on the way down. I hated the way she clung to me in the Vets office.

But despite how overwhelmingly awful the situation was the vets and assistants treated me and my cat with nothing but dignity, respect and kindness throughout the whole ordeal. She wasn't even a prior patient and i hadn't met any of them before. So from the bottom of my heart. Thank you.

Everyone that works here was nothing but wonderful and patience with my sweet German Shepard. My Sheppard was sometimes hard to deal with due to her anxiety she would get wen we would visit the vet, however they were very understanding and always found ways to make her less anxious next visit. The insurance was affordable. Overall I would recommend this place for your pup.

I just want to say how absolutely amazing, attentive and caring these people are. I have worked for this hospital years prior and always knew that when the horrible time came that I would have to lose my sweet boy, that’s where I wanted him to be. The worst day of my life was made just a little easier by the fact that they gave myself, my family and my sweet dog the gift of a truly loving and peaceful departure. His ashes returned to me in a beautiful manner, and I was so grateful that they gave me not only one, but two clay paws as I am so afraid to lose one. Trust me, this is a place you want to take your pets in sickness AND health. I can’t say enough good things about them.

Have taken our pets here for over 9 years. Our furry family members are well cared for; they receive respect & compassion as well as up-to-date treatments. They not only practice Western Medicine but other holistic approaches.
They pay attention to what the pets say as well as their people. Highly recommend.

We appreciated being able to get in earlier. But 2 different services were recommended and both were well over $1200! We simply can't afford something like that. Our cat was taken care of and that is what was most important.

Absolutely ADORED the veterinarians and the staff here. Im a bit neurotic when it comes to my dog Ambrosius( aren't we all a bit though?;) and they completely reassured me and did such a wonderful job. So happy I finally found vet that respects and cared for my dog seemingly as well as I do!!:) would definitely recommend.

If you need to help your pet cross the rainbow bridge go here. It's very different from other vets offices in the process, I feel like it makes it more bearable. My dog just passed there today and I'm really happy with how the process went because it helped me say goodbye to my little best friend the right way. The room they have set up for it is very calm and quiet with dim lighting so you can ugly cry in peace and they have tissues and a little fountain and a rocking chair. I'll miss my dog for the rest of my life but at least I know she was surrounded by love when she crossed.
