Cafe Mediterranean

Visiting North Bend Oregon and I thought I would try something new for a change. I ordered the special which was the steak shawarma with rice with fresh pita bread and a Greek salad. Before my tables order arrived, the aroma within the restaurant began to permeate and my mouth began to water. I was hopeful that this was a sign that the food was going to be good. My food arrived shortly after this. Everything on the plate was super fresh. I haven't had a meal this good in a while. Steak was tender and the rice perfectly cooked. Server was new and she did a great job considering it was her first day. EXCELLENT food. Definitely would recommend. We will be back!

Great authentic fresh food, good service and friendly staff. Garlic fries are to die for. Parking available in front of the restaurant. Not easy visibility from main roundabout, but not hard to find either .

THE most delicious food ever. We got the moussaka (lamb-potato-eggplant casserole with creamy sauce), the kafta kebab (lamb with rice, pita, and sauce), and the helo (cheesecake like dessert with pistachio and blueberry topping). If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Excellent customer service and pro work in the kitchen. Always a pleasure to get food here, whether for lunch or dinner.

Real authentic feels inside - tv plays cooking shows on the wall and scenes of mountains and nature. You can see the chef (who looks like he’s of Mediterranean descent!!) preparing meals in the kitchen in the back. Fresh baklava was cooling on the counter top.

Lentil soup was delicious, puréed with traditional spices like cumin and garlic. They have daily specials. I came on a Thursday and got their 1 Person Combo - Baba ganoush, hummus, falafel and pita for $9.95. Matt got the shawarma pita with a side of homemade garlic fries. Dip the fries in their hummus.

Their hummus is to die for - full of creamy tahini, smooth and satisfying. Rich deep flavors, perfectly salty.

Refillable iced teas. There’s a full bar here! Tons of wine and beer options, too. They have special Arabic sodas with unique flavors, made to order.

Decently priced, items around $9-$12 per item. You get huge portions of really tasty food. Popular items will run out by 7PM, this place is that good.

I had the lunch special...A decent size dinner salad and Soujouk, hummus and tzatziki sauce with lettuce and tomato on a pita.

It was a new flavor and spice profile that I haven't experienced before and I enjoyed it.

The service was good and the price was $10 for an extra $1 I could have changed the dinner salad to a Greek salad... I should have had the Greek Salad!

Many great food items, if you haven't tried this place, you are missing out on good food that isn't like everything else in town.

Turkish coffee and Lamb kabobs!!! So good! If you enjoy lamb, this is the place to order it. Cooked to perfection every time, such a treat💜

Wow, this is a great place for Mediterranean food right in North Bend. Everything we had was delicious! Go for the Turkish coffee. The restaurant was following Covid-19 protocols. Thank you!

Visiting the area for work. I was so pleased with my food and service. I saw the garlic chicken pita and had to order it. I'm a garlic lover. OMG, it was amazing. The waitress was by herself and rocked it, she helped about 10 tables and 7 or 8 phone orders in the 45 minutes I was there and kept a smile the entire time. I will definitely come back.

Wow, this place blew us away. Had three different pitas and all were phenomenal. The garlic fries really stood out too. They desperately need more people helping out in the restaurant though. One amazing lady was taking all phone orders, take-out orders, serving, AND cleaning. The food was so good though that I can still give 5-stars despite the service. Please help out your staff and hire some more folks for the floor!

Last night I had the lamb burger & garlic fries it was incredible! Most game comes out dry and "gamey", but this was fantastic! It was moist, not overdone, and just plain great! We order about once a month and all the meals have been wonderful but last night they out did themselves!

This was my first visit to Coos Bay, Oregon. My daughter and her family suggested this restaurant to celebrate my birthday, along with her Grandmother's birthday. The food was AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS and very well SEASONED. The servers were very pilot and worked very hard to ensure that our party of 6 was served in a timely manner, despite the fact of being short staffed. Overall, I had a WONDERFUL BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION at Cafe Mediterranean!!! I will definitely dine in on my next trip to Coos Bay in the coming months.

I do believe my body will heal with consuming their food. So yummy, really enjoy the lentil soup, lamb entrees are tender and so easy for digestion. Delightful staff, I really enjoy this fine establishment. I will be going back often and I strongly suggest you give it a try. I do believe you will not be discouraged! Oh yeah, 1 of the cooks is a very good son! He cares much about his mother who has health issues.

We tried this place for the first time today and it was amazing! We had the traditional lamb gyro with a cesear salad, garlic fries, and a side of artichoke spinach dip. Everything was fabulous. The gyro was not greasy and all the flavors were mild, yet delicious. Even the salad was delicious, not sure what they do differently but it works! The staff was very friendly and accommodating too. Price was about $10/plate, so pretty standard. Highly recommend. Will be returning!

My girlfriend and I decided to try this restaurant yesterday after driving up from Port Orford to pick up my truck. The food was absolutely amazing and the service was great! I had the Greek salad and it was delicious! My girlfriend had a vegetarian pita and it was incredible. We will be back!

A co worker of mine suggested this place because we are always on the road and good stuff is hard to come by. He said it was so good he had to call them later and tell them how good it was. I am telling you I need to make the same phone call. My food was AMAZING!!!! I am so full the portions are big and the flavors are beyond what I expected and the expectation was pretty high from what my friend said. I recommend this place to everyone. Wish it was closer to home.
