This complex is amazing! Very quiet and tucked away in a great part of town. They offer an array of units from 1bedroom apartments. To beautiful multiroom townhomes. Very clean property. BRIDGETT is the best! She made the application process so easy and assisted me every step of the way! She has the best attitude and bubbly personality. BRIDGETT is exactly the type of person you want to talk to when considering a new place to live. A huge thank you to her! I look forward to moving in! 10/10 recommend checking out Trails Edge Apartments if your looking for a new place to live!!

The place is pretty. The apartments, especially the townhomes, are very spacious. I liked all the black appliances too. The manager, Janet, seemed very busy. Honestly after leaving I don't know why they don't send her help. She was nonstop helping each person the best she could. She never lost her cool and was very patient. I enjoyed speaking with her. She made my visit pleasant. I am looking to move in September and certain this is where I'm going to choose. With the apartment being what I need and seeing Janet care for her residents it's almost a no brainer.

I have been a resident at Trails Edge Apartments for several years, initially moving in when the complex was privately owned. Since the ownership has changed hands multiple times, the current management team is an absolute joke.

The dumpster is constantly overflowing, and there is trash scattered between the apartment buildings. The rent has increased by an astronomical 400%, yet the quality of living has plummeted. There is nothing here for the kids—no playground or safe walkable areas. My neighbor put up a temporary basketball goal, which gets used daily because there are no other recreational options. The roads have no bumpers, and traffic flies through, endangering the children playing outside.

The office hours are inconsistent and seem to depend entirely on when the staff feels like working. When a bad storm hit in 2023, we were without power and water for five days since the property runs off a well. The management made no attempt to assist the residents, nor did they offer any discount to tenants who had to endure 90+ degree heat without essential utilities.

Any time I call maintenance, I never hear back. Currently, I have had no hot water for a month. After calling corporate, the maintenance man finally showed up, but he only provided a temporary fix that lasts a few days before breaking again. Getting him to return is a whole ordeal, and in the meantime, I’ve been forced to transport my kids elsewhere for baths. For the $1400 rent, this situation is beyond ridiculous and likely illegal.

To add insult to injury, despite never being late on my rent, I recently found an eviction letter on my door for the amount of $30. The letter demanded that I leave the property within seven days. When I called corporate, they discovered that my check payments had been cashed correctly but were entered incorrectly into their system by one of their employees. They just apologized and acted like it was no big deal.

I strongly advise looking elsewhere if you value your sanity and quality of life.

Good luck getting them to fix ANYTHING. Hot water heater has had a blown element and smells disgusting since the day I moved in. Got told it's the well water. Cold air rushing in a long the baseboards and was told to call Duke energy. Dog waste containers were overflowing for months. They have an on site laundry but good luck finding 50% of the machines not broke down. Maintenance had to tell me to go to a gas station to use restroom because they aren't allowed to fix toilets at 6pm (after I put my dog away) only between 8-5. Punch list items documented at lease move in still not fixed. Ceiling looks like it's going to cave in in the main bedroom and hallway and is spongy to the touch. Most of the patio fences are falling down. When the agent came by to ask me to sign a new lease for more money I asked if they would fix the problems first. The agent just walked away saying "I understand". As if that either addressed the lease or the broken items.

I have lived here on the property for Four years now I moved in with two children. When I first moved in, it was in the process of getting switched from being privately owned to since then being changed hands multiple times. I have been told by many residents that when it was privately owned, it was well-maintained and ran appropriately. Since then changing ownership several times changing maintenance men several times and changing office staff several times the property has severely went downhill. The office staff is always new and changing so nobody ever knows what’s going on or in the office because somebody’s always training or not working or somethings always going on you could never get a hold of anybody. You’re not allowed to use the portal to pay your bill if you’ve ever had one return check in your life & I had that happen to me in the mist of getting hacked and had to change checking accounts last year and so since then they will not let me use the portal and then I have to go and get an expensive money order every month even though I explained my situation to them they still won’t Change anything for me? It’s a nuisance to have to go get a money order monthly and then try to find someone that’s in the office to accept your money order.
The landscaping needed a refresh when I got here 4 years ago on the side I live in, which is in the townhomes. There are weeds everywhere. The bushes need trimmed. A lot of the plants are dying because they have not been maintained. There’s no edging so when kids play or walk or anybody walks for that matter all the rocks get scattered out into the parking lot. When you go over to the brick side, the older side, the bushes & the weeds are out of control. You can barely walk on the sidewalks anymore because the weeds in the bushes are so thick they stick out. The parking lot is looking like a yard because that needs new rock so badly but they won’t put new rock in so the weeds are so overgrown.
They put in fenced area and called it a dog park and they put in poop stations around the property, but they have never emptied those or kept them refilled with bags. They are constantly overflowing with poop and constantly empty of bags, so therefore nobody really cares about picking up the dog poop around the property, but yet they wouldn’t constantly complain.
I have lived here for four years sprayed and only been sprayed twice for pest control. They do not have a monthly routine to come and spray or even a seasonal routine to come and spray. They also do not have a routine to come out and spray out your HVAC machine outside from getting debris in it throughout the year or they don’t ever change your filters. You just have to go to the office and ask and then if you go to the office, you have to hope and pray that somebody’s in there and you have to hope and pray that they can get you a filter in a timely manner. I have a neighbor that is very helpful and he often is my on-site maintenance man because good luck putting a work order in and getting it taken care of. I had a work order in for 4 1/2 months for my toilet not getting fixed and it finally came and got fixed and then they created another problem and they have yet to fix the second problem that they created. I once had an issue with my dishwasher. They told me they were just gonna order me a new one when I asked about where the new one was months later they said oh we gave it to another resident and the maintenance man at that time Came and looked at it and came and gave me some cleaner to clean it with and has since never done a thing about it.

Rating a one star because I am unable to rate a zero. I was a resident for over four years. I first moved in when the complex was privately owned. It was easily the best place to live then, the maintenance team was timely and efficient, the grounds were kept clean, the gym was regularly cleaned and maintained and if you had an issue the management team made it top priority to get the issue taken care of. While I was a resident ownership switched hands multiple times. The current management team is an absolute joke. The dumpster is constantly overflowing, there is trash between the apartment building, the rent was increased by 400%, the only amenity that was added was a dog park, great for people with dogs, useless for the rest of us, the gym was gross. I found a broom one day to sweep the gym myself because it was so dirty I felt gross being in there. The office hours vary depending on when people want to work. One of the office staff members told us we had not paid our pet fee for months and attempted to collect hundreds of dollars from us. When confronted and shown that it was calculated into the monthly rent she agreed to drop it. When the bad storm hit over the summer we were without power and water for five days since the property runs off of a well. No attempt was made to help the residents, no discount was given to tenants who had to go without in 90+ degree heat without power and water. I used to recommend this place to anyone and everyone looking for a place to call home, I now advise people to avoid it all cost!
