Dark pine has such amazing coffees and offerings and the aesthetic and ambience is truly delightful but Brianna Deserves a special mention, because she takes the place from great to phenomenal. Her drinks are Impeccably made, and She is so sweet and just makes you feel so comfortable and appreciated as a customer. Shes the best!!! It’s not even the most convenient coffee shop to me, but it’s so worth the drive. She makes it even more so. I am editing my review because I just had a similarly fantastic experience with Jess! She’s got a great way making you feel like a valued customer and also she makes exceptional beverages. Truly a VIP experience!! I also just met the owner while he was there and he’s also very cool—he is clearly dedicated to hiring only the best and ensuring that his shop exceptional in every way. He leaves no detail unnoticed.

There are a million coffee shops in Eugene but none like Dark Pine. Tanner and the staff are so warm & inviting and they always put the customer over everything. The coffee is wonderful and there are plenty of options but not an overwhelming amount. Dark Pine is community focused, budget friendly, local, sustainable, and the perfect choice if you’re looking for a go to coffee shop!

Love the coffee and employees. Both excellent. Acoustics aren't great. Difficult to have a quiet conversation.

Getting back to the coffee. It has a particular subtle flavor that I love and it sticks with me. I find myself comparing it to every other coffee that I try. And they all come up short. When I meet friends I always try to meet here. A positive spin is that the acoustics make me move closer to my friend to hear them speak.

Highly recommend!
My husband and I stumbled into Dark Pine while visiting Eugene. The owner was working and gave me a few recommendations on what to order. Ended up getting one of his favorites and it was DELICIOUS! I absolutely loved it. The atmosphere was so warm and welcoming. Very large space for a coffee shop. He also told us about some events that they host. Live music, local artists, and others. We will definitely be back and will recommend to others.

The coolness of this spot. My 3 out of 10 morning met with a great smile and immediate kindness. I felt rotten and ordered a decaf iced americano of all things. The two people smoothing things out for me and, let’s assume, everyone else were absolute pros.

A calm, dark room with nothing too bright for the morning getting in the way. Great service, delicious coffee, real music and a ton of human scale care.

I love places like this so I truly love this place. You will. First time by for me and I’m happy every time I even drive by. Thanks.

Dark Pine Coffee has the best coffee in the state of Oregon. I live in West Eugene and will drive across town for this brew. The baristas are all professional and their service is always outstanding. Brie is usually the person that makes my coffee and she is so affable and kind that no matter my mood when I walk through the door, I'm jubilant on my way out. Thanks for doing such a great job Dark Pine coffee!

Lovely, cozy little spot but what made it for me was the service! I was served by Jess who was immensely and efficiently helpful in answering my questions about their paninis and drinks; She guided me to choices I ended up loving that I'm already planning on going back for today--all without holding up the line! Very earnest and animate despite it being the last hour till close.

I first visited Dark Pine back in 2020 when they just opened. Tanner and all the other baristas were so friendly. They remembered us and our orders each time we came in. A couple of years ago I left Eugene and recently came back. Not only did their coffee taste even better some how but Tanner still remembered us. It felt like coming home.

Dark Pine is more than just coffee. Visiting Dark Pine is an experience. The drinks are delicious every single time. My personal favorite is the white chocolate lavender latte. And after trying a lavender latte in every state, I can confidently say theirs is the BEST. I have tried other things though and they are always delicious.

At Dark Pine I feel welcomed and like I belong. When I order I feel like I’m the only person in the building. The baristas always chitchat and ask about your day while you’re waiting but still make your coffee in a timely manner. As one of their baristas Bri says, they take just long enough to make it with love. And even after all the growth they’ve had the baristas still remember you. Bri met us a couple of weeks ago and recognized us again today and even recalled things we talked about. I feel like this is so rare in today’s world to find authentic interactions that quite frankly keep me coming back.

I don’t only love the coffee, I love how I feel when I visit Dark Pine. The atmosphere is always calm and relaxing no matter how busy it is and that in itself is no easy feat. Tanner also cares a great deal about the community and it shows in all the ways he shows up to support local organizations and other small businesses. If you’re looking for a coffee shop to become a regular at or just try while you’re passing through, don’t pass up visiting Dark Pine!

Thank you to the whole Dark Pine crew for always making my visit special. I can’t wait to check out some of your new offerings and experiences. Sincerely, a lifetime customer.

The coffee and cinnamon role I had was awesome. Great customer service. The best thing for me that stood out was the soft and plush leather couches. That was very soft and comfortable seating all around. With me medical problems the way they are I appreciate the use of the bathroom. The lady serving me also bought my coffee and cinnamon role over to me.

Love this coffee shop. They are always friendly and quick. Plenty of seating and room to chill. Whoever is in charge of the playlist does a good job too lol. I haven't tried the pastries but they look really good.

Cool decor and vintage vibe made us want to hang out here. We got a Hot latte and the iced earl grey black iced tea which were both excellent! Worth checking out.

First time in not only Eugene, but Oregon as well. I live in Charleston, SC, and had been looking up coffee shops here in Eugene (traveling for work). From the second I walked into Dark Pine, I was greeted by the owner. He took a genuine interest in why I was visiting and even gave some tips on great hikes. The iced mocha was incredible, as was the clean and beautiful environment and all employees I interacted with were so kind. I felt incredibly valued and next time I am back, I will without a doubt take my business to Dark Pine. I will wear the sweatshirt I purchased proudly around the country!

Love the environment of this place. It makes for an excellent space to do work in or sit and gossip with friends. The employees are always chill and nice. Their music is always great. I do wish they had better cold brew, or at least an alternative to nitro, but that won’t stop me from going back when I need to work.

One of my favorites! The coffee is delicious every time. The staff is always super nice and the last time I went in, the very nice man, remembered my coffee order. I was surprised as I only drop in once or twice a month. I have told many coffee drinkers about this place.
So, go there!

Cute little corner shop! We didn’t try any food but enjoyed iced chai coffees and a white ginger tea w/ honey.

As a remote worker, I need a reason to put on pants in the morning so I don't devolve into a cavehermit. Over the past few months, my pants and I have been frequenting Dark Pine because

- The tables are spaced out like we're still in covid times (aka introvert paradise)
- The wifi password isn't something inhospitable like 90minutesmax (not naming names but you know who you are)
- It's downtown enough to be convenient (but not so downtown to be inconvenient)
- The music is chill enough to focus (but good enough to slowly Shazam your songs one by one, until I have your entire playlist muahaha)
- The tea is not St*sh trash, it's loose-leaf (Can't comment on the coffee, which I realize is lacking in a review for a... coffee shop)
- They have the nicest staff who anticipate your needs before you ask (extra appreciated as a person with disabilities)
- They have the best patrons (...ahem...)

The only food options are pastries and paninis, but the benefits outweigh my hanger for avocado toast.

TLDR: I don't drink coffee but the good vibes motivate me to get dressed in the morning
