Back 40 Junction Restaurant

A wonderful experience! Very charming atmosphere. The food was exceptional. Loved the huge selection and the salad bar. The sweet potatoes were perfection! Definitely worth the drive to visit. The staff was very friendly. helpful and attentive. Loved seeing all the history and items from the past. Nice place to eat and visit.

Stopped for a late lunch, never been here before and didn't know it was a buffet. The price was great at $13.95 for all you can eat, drinks were additional. Salad bar, soup bar with cheese and crackers. Fruit was really fresh and tasty. Meats were cooked and sliced for you or you could have fried fish or chicken along with various sides. Dessert was cakes, cookies, bread pudding with the wonderful sauces to top off. Will go back again when in the area. Wonderful artist works throughout the restaurant.

The food was delicious and tasted like it was all made from scratch. The rolls were light and fluffy and the cinnamon butter was good. The pot roast and turkey were both good. My boyfriend loved the prime rib. The salad bar was fresh and being restocked right away. Everything was clean. And the waitress was friendly and attentive. The homemade dessert selection was good. And they even hand dip ice cream to go with your pie. The hostess was helpful in explaining prices for various days and times. I recommend reading their website for pricing info before you go. We definitely will go back.

Atmosphere great around 1. Not to busy. Bars stayed fresh and full waitresses attentive.

I love coming here. This last visit the server was clearly not wanting to serve us and was over heard complaining that she was not cut off the floor and another server had been. Another server stepped in which is great teamwork. However, I would love to have my dirty plates cleaned up and timely refills. Of course I will be back. Just wanted to share in hopes the owners can improve their business. Always good food. Always.

It doesn’t get much better than this buffet. Great food. The best service and one of the best atmospheres around. The prime rib is the best I’ve ever had. We go once a week because the service is that good. My daughter is a little bit of a picky eater but she absolutely loves the prime rib. Do yourself a favor and give it a try

Since it's Friday, I asked My Young Beautiful Bride out for a date.
Took her to Decator and the "Back 40 junction restaurant".
This was an amazing experience for both of us, the atmosphere was truly amazing, the sights and decorations are outstanding.
The management and staff are the most friendly people we have ever encountered in the 43 years of our marriage.
And I haven't even gotten to the outstanding food selection, everything was prepared to perfection.
It's a shame that we live so far away, but we know, we will definitely be visiting this place again ☺.

This was a fantastic meal. The staff and owners were so nice.
All of the food was seasoned perfect.The sweet potatoes were great.
They have no sugar ice cream and no sugar cherry pie. This was one of the best pies ,I have ever had.
We will be going back.

Buffet was awesome came back again next day for the Prime Rib! All the food, service, decor was Awesome! Being a retired railroader I really liked the decor.

The food was really good and the service was great. However I found there to be extremely limited options on hot foods as they only offer one hot station. Salad bar was also very limited on options but it's was very good. I think it's very overpriced for the options given but the building itself is a great visit. Smallest buffet I've ever been to but food was great however limited it was.

My hubby has been coming to Back 40 since he was a kid in the 80's. We loved bringing our kids here and now we still come as empty nesters. The buffet is delicious and clean and the service is wonderful. The fried chicken is some of the best we've had and the prime rib is so good. We look forward to bringing our future grandkids to Back 40!

Visiting my son in college and we stumbled across this place on the way home! Loved the atmosphere and the selection of very good, simple foods! Everything I tried was delicious. Really liked the vegetable soup and the pulled pork was very tasty. The desserts were wonderful. The staff was exceptionally friendly and attentive!

Food was great but could use a little more seasoning on something's specifically some of the meats. Otherwise it's a great place to go when no Golden Corral is around.

We ate dinner last night at the Back 40 Junction Restaurant and it was amazing. The food and service was excellent. I suggest the trying the smoked brisket and bread pudding for dessert, they are the best around Northeast Indiana. Also, our server Tara was friendly and always there for all our needs.

They do have outdoor seating where well behaved dogs on leash are welcome. Dining outside you will need to pay for your meal before going to the buffet. I believe that if your well trained dog behaves as well as a service dog, you could bring him in and no one would complain. This was a very friendly place to dine. We did not order Crab or Prime Rib. We ate at the buffet. The selection is limited but the food was delicious and well prepared. Our server Chelsea enjoyed meeting Jasper The Adventure dog and even followed him on his facebook page before we left.

So cool. Great food. Not bad for a full buffet. Healing food. Homemade house dressing is incredible as well as the rum or butter sauce for your pecan pie. Incredible surroundings. Even have a American Revolutionary Bunker Hill an Appeal to Heaven Flag! Fabulous.

You can overlook a number of things. Maybe a little costly. Maybe something wasn't quite as tasty as you would like. However, an attentive, friendly, staff can compensate. And they were....attentive and friendly. That being said, it was an overall great experience. Would recommend to others.

An excellent buffet! quite a variety! The atmosphere is amazing too....the antiques are truly jaw dropping! A must for anyone looking for a family friendly restaurant with an amazing theme!!

Basically it was fine, but it was slightly chilly to be comfortable. Waitress was attentive, food servers at the buffet were pleasant. Our table was in sort of an awkward location, but at least there wasn't a lot of foot traffic around us. There is a fee if you use a credit card, just a heads up.

My husband took us for the buffet I was very nice, very good food. I recommend this business
