Huge fan. Their selection and variety is great, and offer to order titles to the store for you if they’re missing one you want. The environment is very cute but also lax, and employees are helpful but not invasive. Could spent hours in here!

We went here for the first time during the Free Comic Book Day. It was such a fun filled event they held. I wish we could of looked around but we knew it was so busy and are definitely planning a visit back so we can browse and check out the shop more. 😊 Thanks for all the planning that went with the event. It was a fun day.

Went back for free comic book day but this year was such a disappointment compared to the last two years. They one had one free comic 2 hours into the event and really no cosplayers. Maybe it was because they partnered with the library that really picked up a lot of the event but even the library ran out of comics. People did seem to be enjoying the scavenger hunt put on by the library. The store as always, is absolutely perfect. It's the cleanest, most well organized with the kindest employees book store I've been to in Oregon.

Cute little shop. They host readings for kids sometimes. There is a market outside of their store sometimes which is super fun. They support the local vending community and have a great niche selection.

Went here for free comic book day and they brought it. They highlighted the LGBTQ+ comic book community and it was awesome. Tons of giveaways and a nice cozy location. Feels like a den.

Super sweet comics shop. I told the clerk I wasn’t looking for anything specific, which was untrue - I was looking for “Come Over, Come Over” by Lynda Barry, which they had in stock! Excellent graphic novels section with plenty of Drawn and Quarterly and Silver Sprocket titles. I would have liked to see a larger zine section since they advertise selling zines, but it’s still more zines than you find in most bookstores! It is a very comfortable space for those in the queer community.

The staff was absolutely friendly and I loved how welcoming they were! I'd recommend anyone looking for comic books and games to go there because their selection is so nice! I do appreciate them for being knowledgeable and extremely helpful to all questions that I asked. Also very LGBT+ friendly!

Books With Pictures is the most welcoming, warmest, and has the friendliest staff of any comic shop (or book store for that matter) I've ever visited. You won't find the Simpsons comic book nerd here. They have a wide variety of comic books and graphic novels, and do a lot of books from the smaller and independent imprints. Also have some zines and tabletop game stuff. I love being part of their monthly-ish D&D sessions.

This was an incredibly safe space! Wheelchair access was a little spotty, but that's expected in small buildings. The selection was amazing! Staff was knowledgeable and very kind.

This is such a fantastic comic book store! There was something for everyone in our family (2 adults + a 12 year old + a 4 year old) - including young adult graphic novels, Marvel comics, and more to discover! Owner/staff very knowledgeable and friendly! I highly recommend this amazing place!

I absolutely love this comic book shop! Orders are super easy and there’s always something there I want! The entire staff is really nice and helpful :)

The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and kind. The selection for a brand new shop is solid. Special orders for variant covers or whatever are a breeze. The TPB/graphic novel selection is fantastic. The all-ages and kids books are a fantastic addition that are absent or an afterthought at most brick-and-mortar comic shops. Top to bottom a fantastic comic shop and very necessary new addition to Eugene's comics landscape. Go there. Support them. Get a subscription box. These folks are top notch!

I was drawn to this store because it is woman owned and operated! Which is much needed diversity in the comic book world. They have a great selection of not so mainstream graphic novels, which is what I prefer. Some zines, some stickers.
I will be back!

BWP has a great selection of comics, graphic novels, Manga, and art books for all ages. The people working were so friendly to both the adults and child in my family, and offered helpful, very knowledgable recommendations. We hope to return many more times this summer!

This is a fantastic comic shop. The owner is a University of Oregon Comic Studies professor and really knows their stuff; manga, classic super hero offerings, alternative comics and comix galore, plus a zine section and the ability to start an account and order serialized comics weekly. Eugene needed a shop like this. My favorite comic shop by far!

BWP has a beautiful collection of comics and graphic novels, but I am especially grateful for the knowledgeable and passionate employees who work there. S/o especially to the store's manager, whose enthusiasm for this art form is infectious.
