Kowloon Restaurant

Kowloon has been a favorite of mine since High School. I have followed them through each location change. You can NOT find ANY Mar Far Chicken like theirs. It is made with huge chunks of white breast meat, juicy, falling apart tender, dipped in a very light amount of batter. Most places, its the opposite, way too much batter, barely any meat & a lot of times its the stringy, greasy, dark meat. The Kowloon Mar Far Chicken you can get in many flavors too, such as, Garlic, Lemon, Orange, just to name 3, as well as adjust the spiciness, to your own preferred degree of "kick". I am 59 now & will continue to have Kowloon, be my go to for Chinese meals, hopefully until I am 100! Try their vegatable fried rice, I ask them to add onions & cabbage but, I ask them to take out the bok choy. They always accommodate every request, with a smile. I love to have my palate, along with my dining experience, genuinely pleased!

I don't understand why this place has a 2.9 rating. This place has a cozy atmosphere and a super friendly waitstaff. the seating is spacious and private. A nice view along the river to enjoy while eating. I ordered the Mandarin Beef with steamed rice and Crab Puffs. The portions on each item I ordered was enough to feed 2 people. From ordering my food and receiving it at the table, less than 10 minutes. I did sit in the restaurant for about 2 hours doing some homework and the gentleman that was serving me was very polite and did not bother me every 5 minutes. the dessert menu is AMAZING! They offer desserts from Sweet Life! I ordered the Peanut butter chocolate cake, and it was amazing! I will come back to this restaurant more often. I would like to try more of their menu. Don't let the ratings fool you, this place has scrumptious food, portions that match the price and a friendly waitstaff. I am giving this place 5 stars. Great 1st experience. I have been a lil put off of this place due to the reviews but since I work next door I finally gave in and tried it. Glad I did! The lady at the counter was very nice and welcoming. Seated us rt away. Our waiter was very polite and answered all our questions with a smile. Food came out fresh, hot and at a decent amount of time. Everything we ordered was delicious. Didn't have to ask for refills and never felt rushed to pay and leave. Def will be back.

The folks who work here are always nice. The food has huge portions for the price you pay, especially if you get a combination plate. The restaurant is really cozy, and the booths are huge, so it's a good experience when I come in to eat. The delivery is great as well. They usually show up earlier than the estimated time, and the delivery fee isn't expensive like many local places that deliver.

The food is delicious and they serve more than you can eat. The staff is amazing. The waiter, Samson, went above and beyond with serving our family. Even the lady cleaning tables was friendly. The view of the river really makes it a beautiful place to dine and the service is outstanding. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Never had any problems personally! Pretty good food. A lot of portion options depending on how many people you're feeding. They do take out and delivery. Overall a solid spot👌🏽

Our waiter was so great tonight; patient while we made our selection and being discreet when checking on us while we were in conversation. He boxed up our food and was very accommodating! The food was delicious and service was wonderful! We will be back!

First time ever eating Kowloon. It was beyond our expectations. Amazing food, well worth the money. The guy on the phone that took my order was amaxing, delivery was very timely, and the delivery driver was super nice! We DEFINITELY will be eating with y'all again!

Nestled next to Autzen Stadium right on the waterfront, this place is an icon of the city of Eugene. You'd be hard pressed to find anyone in this town who isn't familiar with the name Kowloons whether it be frequenting the restaurant, ordering take out, or hanging out at The City which was it's night club.. Until about 6 years ago, when the business was sold to new owner, this was most likely the best chinese food anywhere around. Food was excellent, portions were large, everything was made fresh in house. Since then however, it has gone steadily downhill. Food was mediocre at best, all the sauces and hot mustard came in packets, & portions were small until finally (unfortunately) the new owner ran the business into the ground and Kowloons is now, sadly, closed for good. It will be greatly missed.

Excellent food and reasonably priced for the quality of the meal. While I've been going there for years, the last time the service was exceptionally slow. I'll not let that deter me from visiting in the future.

I had a delightful meal. Friendly service. Been here many times. Will be back again. Bummer they have several one star reviews. I hope more people who have good experiences will take a minute to share.

The service was very friendly! The food was very fast and delicious and the menu has a lot of options! Huge servings, can't wait to eat them again tomorrow! The restaurant itself sits by a nice river making it an even better atmosphere(:

Best Chinese food around! We've gotten spoiled eating at Kowloon's! Now every place else seems second best. The egg flower soup is incredible! Their sweet and sour sauce is so great that I asked them for the recipe for it. The staff is really nice too!

I just drove several miles specifically to order at Kowloon's Hot and Sour Soup and Mu Shu Pork...The Soup is THE Best and Mu Shu can't be beat. plenty of food and right prices. Kowloon is the ONLY Chinese restaurant where I will eat. You can always count on good food and great staff. GREAT FOOD< WAITPERSONS and SERVICE.

Me and friends went to see HUNKS. the male strippers it was absolutely amazing and fun!! We had the best time ever. They did different acts. One time the came out in army fatigues, firemen costumes, police and pirates!! I say everyone should see the male strippers. It's completely different than women strippers!! Amazing show!! Please have these shows more often!!. We're going to see some other show on the 20th!! Oh one more thing we got our tickets half off at Groupon!! Oh and there food is absolutely scrumptiou man oh man!! Great prices and delicious!! Drinks and also Video Poker!! Great place to hang out!!

The exterior color of the building was probably pushing me away but once I gave it a chance, I found the inside to be very nice. The booths and the big glass windows coupled with the slow moving creek really set a good mood. And the staff was very friendly and patient as we figured out what we would like. Will go back again.

Not far from the science hall and U of O campus. Excellent food, very tasteful, well made mixed drinks too. And a great price, wonderful customer service. Well worth the stop. Check it out!!🖒

Fast delivery service, great food! I was nervous about going back because of the bad reviews. Our experience yesterday was awesome. Five stars!

Still the same place, I spent my birthday here on Oct. 25th 1991. It was comedy nite. After a few drinks you just laugh it off when the jokes are on you. Thanku for the great memories. I still come for dinner now and then w/my Sis.
